Too late for me to recap, but it was a pretty good episode. I liked overall the plot and the pacing of the episode. and I just love how mushy V is this season in regards to Cat, it's just so sweet. So far, I like S4 better than S3 but S1&S2 just hold special places in my heart

Also too late for me to recap, but this is one of my favourite episodes out of all of S3 & S4 so far. There were still things I found annoying about it, but it was less...stilted, maybe, than many previous episodes.
It's also the first one in a long while I want to rewatch. (And I tried to rewatch S3 before S4 started and couldn't even make myself watch all of it, which was pretty depressing, since I've rewatched S1 & 2 more times than I can count).
I liked that there was more intimacy in this one between VinCat, but funnily enough, the one thing that really bothered me was the last scene where V initiates something with Cat when she's all beaten up and bruised from the fights! Proving that while I DO want intimacy between my beloved characters, I don't actually want it gratuitously.
Anyway, just my initial thoughts upon first watching. And I plan to watch again soon.
P.S. This gives me even more hope for "It's a Wonderful Beast", but I'm trying not to get my expectations up too much!

I agree that I liked this episode much better than the last one, but don't look for any special VinCat moment in here either. We see Heather and Kyle kissing sweetly but NOT VinCat a lot.
It seems that the theme for S4 is: we are looking for this big bad who put out the bounty on beasts, but on the way we solve totally unrelated cases. This fight club case AGAIN has nothing to do with the 5 million dollar bounty and Catherine is starting to doubt that it even exists.
She really kicks ass and she is quite bruised afterwards - especially the cut on her cheek bone - which had to have stitches - looks like it will leave a scar. And she now works for DHS and turns in her badge to Tess - quite an emotional moment there between her and Tess.
Tess finds out about JT turning down tenure and those two are at a loss where to go with their relationship at the moment.
What I did not like so much:
VinCat cannot find time to pay their bills, so their electricity is cut off. Huh? How long does it take in the US to pay your bills online? Vincent beasts out on the fight club owner without having to do that. After all this talk and fretting about exposure, he growls at the guy as a beast for no reason at all and then Catherine states - actually quite calmly - that HE (the bad guy) did not know about beasts after all and this case had nothing to do with their search for the 'BIG BAD'.
What I liked:
VinCat did not bicker a lot. There were some times when I thought they would get into it, but it was not too bad. They are sweet and loving with each other, but it is totally toned down and when it gets heated up, the camera fades out. There is a scene in the hospital where Vincent implies that they have 3 mintues and he picks Catherine up 'with intent' AND camera fades out. At the end, he wants to start making love, but Catherine is too beaten up and hurting, so he would have to be really careful and THAT would have been wonderful to watch - BUT they do it off screen and the audience gets cut off. AGAIN!

I love the moments between Cat and Tess and actually shed a tear when Cat handed in her badge and they hugged if cams across to me as very genuine.

Can't disagree with any of that bbatb.
Vincent revealing himself and then just brushing it off after all that talk of being exposed made absolutely no sense!

This was a VERY good episode in my opinion. Vincent and Catherine have clearly learnt from the last episode that they work better together. Because of that, there's less bickering in this episode. Although I love them as a couple, the JT and Tess story seems to have been getting quite repetitive since midway since s3 (Tess is ready to move on, but JT isn't ready for the same level of commitment) but I do end up feeling sorry for both of them. Heather managed, yet again, to have very little screen time but still make a decision (kissing Kyle at the end) that was fully justified and understandable. The scenes between Catherine and Tess (especially the last one when she hands in her badge) were heartbreaking and I'm wondering whether this will out further strain on their friendship. As someone's already mentioned, it seemed slightly unrealistic that Cat and Vincent couldn't keep up with bills, laundry, but who knows, I doubt that will be a constant thing and perhaps just a one episode thing. There were also cute romantic moments between Vincent and Catherine (in the hospital) but I also value the normal things they can now do (ie walking through their apartment block).
Perhaps the biggest thing that made this episode different, for me, from s3 was the lack of exposition. Meaning, Catherine wasn't constantly explain the events of the past three weeks to everyone every five minutes. That got repetitive (and kinda boring) last season. Instead, this episode took time to have meaningful and emotional conversations between the characters. (Also I'm so glad they weren't drinking wine in that last scene, I probably would have cried!). All in all, a very good episode.

This exposure thing bugs the hell out of me, because for 2 episodes we have heard nothing BUT their fear of exposure and what it would mean for them. They even give us a whole episode to drive the point of exposure home to the max with having Bootsy have to go into hiding because she is EXPOSED. And now they do it without ANY necessity and afterwards just shrug it off. I hate it when they take the audience for idiots and jerk us around: first it is the all-consuming problem and then Vincent says with a smile of complete non-concern - who will believe him anyway? As always we have to take the bad with the good and at least there were many good things in this episode.

I really liked this episode. For me it's a very good episode. What i really liked in this episode, there was more scenes between Vincat and Catherine. I liked that much . I think that what i loved about season 4. More and more Vincat moments. They are funny and the important thing no bickering toward each other. They are sweet and really in love. I really liked when V said 'baby' in the fight scene and the final scene it's so sweet " owh baby! How's ur day ?" and word 'my wife' he said it again ... I liked the moment Cat and Tess at the precinct. arh , It's really touched. One of the things i missed in the S3. And poor JT .. Come on Tess give the guy break ... But just one think that i really don't like . Why Vincent still wear the round shirt while wear the collar shirt. Why must he wears it on the top . I really miss that abs . ahaha ... About the intimacy moments they do it off the screen, it's a little bit frustration but it's not a big deal. Hope the moment will come . Hopefully . For me we can't compare any other season to S1. S1 is very phenomenally and really special. For now i will enjoy, spread love and cheer this season finale as much as i can Oh! sorry for my English . This is my first review that i write quite long in English.

DITTO!!! love it too, is sweet even if we are in a fighting scene. And love when he said "don't ruin your pretty face!" . Now they put the correct trust in each other. I was full of emotional scenes, Tess/Nina did a fantastic Job in this episode (and I don't like Tess usually) I like the show because mix up the supernatural part with the real life part: our VinCat have both bad guy problems and work/house life problems to deal with IMO, Vincent has thaken the next step in the controll of his power, they are training him and at the same time he has reached an high level of self confidence because "they have always managed the situation"... but all this could lead to a new situation that will blow up in their faces. In this sence for me there is no inconsistency in the presentation of his power, only maybe they have sort time to show us the whole process and we have only few tips

Okay, comments GOOD. Recap---EVEN BETTER. Come on, GIVE ME A PLAY-BY-PLAY, pretty please.
So far, I get that Cat goes to work for DHS in this episode. HOW does that happen?? Especially given their attitude in the previous episode of basically being disgusted with beasts and covering for them.
And how does this fight right thing happen? How do they end up there? Did Cat win? Who all did she fight? And when and how and why did Vincent beast-out? QUESTIONS people, I HAVE QUESTIONS. So PLEASE PLEASE give me ANSWERS with multiple details! DYING here, as Thursday is FFFAAAAAARRRR away for me!

I don't have time to write a more detailed opinion of the episode, but I loved it. Many VinCat moments even if they faded them out, tess and cat scenes and I also loved kyle and Heather scenes for my surprise! Three questions for you guys though: Do you think Jay added that three minutes thing himself? It felt similar to tying Cat for the third time notion in season 1 (or was that 2?) Also do you think Jay has a problem with nudity nowadays? We used to see him (as well as all the other dudes on cw) half-naked half the time, but I think the last time we had that bliss was a way too long time ago. (Hopefully nobody is offended for me asking this, but the thought just crossed my mind) Do you think kyle is actually nice guy or is he after Vincent somehow too? I hope for the first but fear for the latter. Has anyone thought of these too?

I think the last episode we saw Jay shirtless may have been 217, which was a LOOOOONNNGG time ago. He probably wants to be known for his acting rather than his abs (although I admittedly admire BOTH!). They could find multiple reasons to strip him down in S1. Not so much in future seasons. Plus, even that guy from Arrow has a problem with people now always wanting to see his abs, supposedly, so he wanted to move away from that. Makes sense, I guess. If you are only known as a pretty face or body, then your career would be decidedly MORE limited.
As to the Kyle being a bad guy thing, I can't imagine them doing THAT again---I mean, you had Evan's girlfriend in S1 that was secretly working for Muirfield and Gabe switching between good and bad in S1 AND S2. So why go there again? TRUE, it makes sense that Kyle COULD be a plant, since he was working in the same hospital as Vincent and knew him from there. In NY hospitals, I would imagine that they are so large that you really WOULDN'T know your co-workers in other departments, but the two probably encountered one another in the ER when Kyle would bring trauma victims in. But WHO would possibly be behind it? If someone knew exactly who AND what Vincent was, they would have presumably acted already.
But Kern is known for repeating plots, so you never know about Kyle. But I still think it is a red herring.

DYING here, as Thursday is FFFAAAAAARRRR away for me! OK I try to recap for you! In the fist few scene we see Vincent that is trying to track JT and he sees him cought by two men and made into a car. Cat tales him to hurry up because he is in danger... so Vincent use his power and manage to find a path and arrives to the car where he find a perfectly relaxed JT playing videogames and waiting for his friend. It was a test to prove his beast tracking capacity that faild last time. Then Vincent had to hurry back to the hospital where Cat was waiting for him... in fact he blurred.. and that was a test to see how far and in how much time he was able to find one of the teamm and then save another... He passes his test with no great vote, but he has three minutes time to enjoy Cat before his shift at the hospital JT doesn't know how to tell Tess that he turned down the job at University so in fact now he is unemployed and not so ready to rent a new house with Tess. Cat receives a call from DHS that tell her to join them at the departiment DHS realize that everyone involved with this beast secret is going to die, so Hill tells Cat that after agent Russo horrible death he doesn't want to risk his skin (in the real meaning of the word) or the one of his agent so he hires Cat to work with them... like you put us in danger and you take us off this situation but he gives her the chance to use the powerful name of DHS to obtain information. Starting from a man that was found dead in an alley with a symbol of a fight club and that could be one of the bounty hunter that was kill maybe because he doesn't succede in his mission or doesn't agree to work for the person that is looking for Vincent (sorry I wasn't able to catch all dialogs in english). When Cat arrives on the scene she finds Tess who was working on that case too (after the little cover up job with Cat, Tess realize that she need some job on fields to be herself), but Cat tells her that this isn't her case anymore and that she isn't one of her agent anymore.. Tess reluctantly leaves the alley feeling betrayed by her friends and her work partner... so JT looses another chance to tell her about the Job. Vincent is so excited for Cat's new job even if it means more work and less time together... but even more money so Heather could help Cat in all the house managing... but she is not so good in this work Vincent and Cat arrives at the fight club, they enter using the symbol found on the dead man. both think that Vincent will be the one who fight... but men's ring where closed so they asked for Cat that agree to fight. Vincent was "fangirling" for her and she wins the round putting two other women in bad condition, one was seriously injured. Vincent wea about to help and call 911 but the girl doesn't want. Cat is taken by the organizers of the fight club for another round in another place, where Vincent could not attend... so he decided to give Cat credits to be able to help herself while he brings the injured girl secretly at the hospital. The girl says that she has to fight to take her family alive, but now that she has lost the fight her destiny is to die, like the new girl... so Vincent hurry up to JT's place to have help and information in finding the man after this hidden fight, and this time is Tess that has very important information: this arabian man (I don't remember the name) organizes private girl-fight for his pleasure during a dinner with other important people. Tess and Vincent arrive at the club just in time to see Cat that manage alone to win even this round althought lots of bruises. They stop the arabian man that turned out to be a coward crying like a baby when Vincent ROAR on his face... He was so scared that took his mouth shutted up about beast. Kyle at the end managed to find out Heather at a bar after asking to Vincent for her (and he doesn't give him information). He wants to start a relationship with her and Heather agree, but no question about family! Tess find out that JT turned down the job and she is not sure anymore about a step forward in their relationship Cat is lying on the couch with some ice pack on face, knees, anckles... Vincent arrives home in light candle (they forget to pay the electricity provider) and he tries to make Cat feeling better in his own way :-)
