This episode is GOOD!! VERY GOOD!! Lots of great action and suspense and drama. Everyone's brought their "A" Game so far tonight! Finally a nice use of JT and Tess, apart and together and part of the Fab Four! Gabe, Gabe, Gabe...................you DEVIL! Sendhil is a good Baddie! Kristin has totally mastered her fight scenes...........YOU ROCK KRISTIN!! Plus, I liked her hair when she was in the UN.... yes i love that hair! i dont like her hair as much how she normally does it in the show, her natural style suits her so much more

It's like they've been trying to "stretch out the drama" with stupid love triangles and now they're back to the heart of the show. It's totally different now - at least it seems to be to him hahaha.

And long may it contiune the heart of the show is Vincat together fightning for a life together against the odd's and for me it seem's that the writer's and hopefully BKern have finally realized this in some shows triangles if done right can make the story and the show even better but with something as iconic as BATB it just doesn't work and if they wanted that kind of a show then go find another show to run and try it with that one that does already do triangles or partner hopping there's plenty around but don't taint such a classic love story as BATB that's just wrong.

I liked this episode very much, the ILY didn't bother me that much it's more like Cat's required to say that to G being made mandatory LOL...LOVE the slap, i think it just moved his hair a bit...i'm already dead at the end ..that's just too sweet, so lovely i love the VinCat hug. As much as i hate Gabe so much, now that he's bad again, he's really good at it, like you don't want him to go, he really play bad Gabe so good and so jealous of V. He's boiling inside knowing that no matter what all good he did or does for Cat he can't have/get her and never did.The next epi is gonna be so awesome.

Finally! I caught up with the rest of you.. this thread is crazy!
This episode worked really well for me. There was some kissing but not too much, considering all the fast-paced action there was. Another shower-type scene might have slowed down the pace, when we needed to feel how crazy, risky, harrowing and dangerous it was for Vincent and Catherine. We got some sweetness and a little lovin' at the end on the rooftop, but again not too much. It's almost like they were taking a breather and regrouping as a couple before the next round of the battle started.
Gabe- He is so totally blinded by jealousy and rage that he is almost beyond any rationality. You can tell he doesn't like to lose. The longer that Vincent eludes him, the more desperate and pathetic Gabe becomes. The fact that Catherine is right alongside Vincent during all this makes it that much more painful for Gabe (fuel to the fire, you might say). Seriously, why doesn't anybody question why an ADA is the leader of this city-wide manhunt and goes out with the team armed and ready to shoot?! He's a lawyer, for goodness sake! I almost felt sorry for the poor Police Chief. He looks so dumbfounded by what's going on, that it's comical. A few more funny lines would have been great, except he couldn't do that with Gabe because we're not supposed to think of Gabe lightheartedly. And Tess was too busy being conflicted and then tricking Gabe for her to be able to interact with Captain Ward. We just got a hint of his bewilderment, which I still enjoyed.
Catherine- I LOVED watching her walk into that room and letting Gabe have it!!! She exuded such POWER! You could totally tell she was ticked off! I thought the slap was just right. She walked into that room running on pure emotion and it burst out of her uncontrolled. Yes, it would have been gratifying for her and us viewers to see her deck him or do one of those roundhouse kicks of hers, but she's smart and probably didn't want to get charged with assault. She definitely didn't want to give Gabe any ammunition to use against her. As for the "I loved you" line, I don't see it as a sexual reference at all. To me, it was the same as spitting in his face, "You blew it, buddy! There's no going back now!" She never said it to him when they were "together", so her saying it now is like a punch where it hurts. She also let him know in no uncertain terms that she knows about everything he's done and that the gloves are off now! The look she gave him was like, "BRING IT!!!" And it seemed to get Gabe's full attention too...
Vincent- Of course he's not going anywhere! He has his soul mate back and won't let them be apart again. When he had Gabe by the throat up against the wall, the barely controlled power was just rolling off him! *fanning myself from the heat here* The fact that he doesn't take Gabe's head off shows that Vincent's humanity is back and here to stay! Yay! And I have to say, the way Vincent never tips his hand to Gabe is admirable. It gives Vincent even more power over Gabe. The stairwell scene at the UN with Vincat was confusing to me at first (Why didn't he just blur them away?). Then I realized that Vincent and Catherine had to do all this together, side by side. Vincent now realizes that Catherine is just as strong as he is, beast or no beast. They are stronger together than they are apart, and Catherine doesn't want or need to be "saved" anymore. He instructed her on what to do when they went through the window, but he didn't carry her out in his arms like he did in the past. Vincent now gets it. Catherine is strong and needs a partner, not a rescuer.
The whole FBI thing- In trying to figure out what that whole part of the episode was even in there for, I'm thinking that we now know that Dana is still in there somewhere and can/will help them in the future. With the mission being successfully completed, I'd say that the FBI now has a debt to Vincat that will need to be repaid somewhere down the road...? I just thought it was incredible the lengths that Vincat will go to so that they can be together. They made the mission seem almost..casual. It's like when they're together, nothing fazes them and they can do anything!
Thumbs up!

^ About time they promoted the show! Solid ep These last two eps are so dif that my husband thought this was a new season. I must be like your husband. Eps 2x17 and 2x18 now have me completely addicted to this show, 2x18 was excellent! This show really works when VinCat have their hearts on display, fighting for each other and their love. I liked everything about it, but the last segment at the UN and the roof top ending was the best! I can see these summer episodes building upon each other, leading up to a fantastic S2 finale. Can't wait for the next episode!

It seems to me Vincent has so much control over his beast now he only transforms as much as necessary.....Three times in this ep used his powers without going "full beast" .... when Gabe drew down on him, he wheeled, disarmed, and had him by the throat....in one beat.....At the UN he tore a steel door off the hinges to save the FBI girl and came in the room normal ... Then the parking lot door, enough strength to hold the door (yes, eyes yellow, but not full beast) And as fast as he can turn it on, he can turn it off. Just seems different to me. It's like being close to Cat emotionally really helps his control. (funny, I think it would have the opposite effect on me. lol)

I also questioned that part of the episode. But then I thought maybe Catherine wouldn't have allowed him to. She was talking a lot about not needing to be saved or protected, so I think he just felt she would refuse if he offered. Who knows, the writers know best! I am probably wrong, but I felt that that moment was about her choosing to continue the climb with him, showing an understanding that they had a steep mountain to climb and that in the future, either one of them may question their choice again..but never turn back, because they can depend on each other's strength, when they are feeling weak, to encourage them, to lead the way but to never just do it for the other because that would be easier. The episode had a theme of them going back and forth about what was best for each person, but, at the end of each conversation, they both chose being together as the best thing for each of them individually. why do i find this soooo damn romantic?? As far as Gabe goes, I can "buy" him as the jilted lover seeking revenge, and I believe that is how the character has been written. I certainly could not see him as the "baddie, baddie"; that;s not how he comes across to me. I really hope they have a formidable adversary for our Scooby gang in store for us. It is almost comical when Gabe says he'll destroy Vincent-really, with what? ? He is like the big bad wolf who isn't scary at all, and the Fab 4 are not afraid of him; so let him huff and puff as much as he wants; we know who's going to get burned at the end. I'm still waiting for the REAL BADDIE to appear; come out, come out, wherever you are!!!!!!Me tooo!! but i admit, i like watching Gabe being a little boy throwing his tantrum and trying to test the boundaries of the Fab 4
