I agree with ALL of your negative points, especially #5. My eyes are practically frozen to the back of my head from all the eye rolling. Catherine and Reynolds should not be so chummy this fast. It doesn't help that I have ZERO interest in this storyline. I have sailed past disliking Tess; I officially despise her. I hate that JT has been pushed out in favor of Tess and Gabe (but at least Gabe has beastly possibilities). I can see a Torie/Vincent hookup in the future. I have given up on episodes that make sense. I am so sorry that Kristen & Jay are having to slog through this crap. I don't like where they are taking Vincent and I miss the magic. Also not happy with the spoilers in this thread. I'm thinking I need to take a break from the board for a bit...sorry I'm cranky, but this season is breaking my heart. Okay, all very nice, I liked the episode, the stories of each are clarified. That's just the beast be a father feels a Cat and his new relationship with her father. Tori obviously influences the actions of beasts, with her father and now Vincent and will be good to see the fight between good and evil to come.
But what drove me crazy is .... how did Cat to stop kissing is supposed to be the love of her life ... and he is remembering! one kiss? I had hung it and still be separating myself from Jay .. say Vincent! lol
Seriously, I liked it and I hope very anxious what's next!

O.K....so after we saw Vincent "lose it" and rip someone's heart out, am I the only one that thinks Catherine might want to consider her safety when around Vincent 2.0? I mean, this isn't OUR Vincent...this is "Supercharged" Vincent 2.0 and the belief, trust, and faith that Catherine had (and we as viewers had) that Vincent would NEVER hurt Catherine is gone. Not speculation here; that is fact. He hurt her when he "lost control." If I were Cat, I'd be thinking twice about now. There is no trust anymore. (I feel awful... no matter how "hot" he is, I am actually falling "out of love" with Vincent!) Also, I don't buy bio Daddy's story re he and Vanessa. Does anyone else think he is hiding something? Perhaps he didn't tell Catherine what really happened between he and Vanessa? At this point, as stupid and lame as it sounds, I wish that OUR Vincent was locked away someplace while they sent his "look-alike" or "clone" or whatever out as "supercharged" Vincent to conduct these "missions." LOL!!!! IMHO these "missions" are nothing more than amped up "procedurals" that include fight/action scenes with graphic violence created in the hope of gaining male viewers (which is failing) without the romance that the die hard fans love. Ooooh.... I just vented. Bad lilbit!

Do the vague "missions" and "list of beats" bore anyone else? I'm so tired of them talking about the list of beasts and these vague missions that Vincent HAS to do. He doesn't HAVE to do anything. I know, I know, he has issues and we should be worried. I can't wait til they get past the plot line (can it be called that??) of the beast list. If Vincent says missions again, i'm going to have Cat kick him in the face! Again. If this goes on all season... no I don't want to finish that thought.
Why is Cat's bio-dad revelation so glossed over? She looks at a pic and bam! knows her father. Then the next ep BAM confrontation, coffee, explanation and all is well. WHUT.
GIVE CATHERINE'S BACKSTORY THE ATTENTION IT DESERVES. I swear I'm going throw my computer on the ground if every single character keeps rallying around the beast/missions plot while bio dad is swept under the rug and JT isn't even in eps!!!!!!!!
*takes deep calming breath<edited>

LOL!!! Glad I am not alone! You two are not alone!! I've been finding it hard to find time to read and post (plus write, lol), but I can't hold it in any longer. I think I'm going into a depression. Where is my beautiful show? Most times I like an episode better after viewing it several times, but how does that work for new viewers? They may not want to see it again. You guys have made good points. There's a lot more I want to say, but I'm holding it in. Maybe a change is coming (please, God!) I will stick with the show and support it, but I'm thinking I may just finish my alternate universe season 2 and keep writing the show the way I WISH it would go. MIA my sweet Vincent! MIA JT (what the heck?) MIA our wonderful Tess! Going somewhere to cry now....

I have to ask this. Do we know if Reynolds wiped Tess' memories, too? Because I don't have any other explanation for her rooting for Gabe. Did she really forget that just 4 months ago he was trying to kill a man for selfish reasons only? That's just mess up.

I actually thought in Reunion when Reynolds was talking to Gabe about Catherine being attacked and Tess walked in she looked at him weird like if TESS got that WOW moment! For a minute there I thought she had remembered the email that Thomas had received with Agent Reynolds picture but then she said nothing LOL

Post by Savana_ Dying for season3! on Nov 13, 2013 3:03:10 GMT -5
This is the second time they have done that this season, just last episode it was insinuated that if not for Catherine Vincent would have become just like the other army beast (sorry his name is escaping me at the moment). If that's the case how did he survive 10 years without killing an innocent and saving people along the way. Yes JT had something to do with that but it was more so the fact that Vincent was a good person which is part of the reason Catherine fell for him in the first place...at least that's the show I watched last season... true, but then again vincent does not really remember who he was before so as vincent 2.0 he may think that is what would have become of him had he not met catherine. wow! this is a good point of view I didn't think about before! I was also a bit upset that Vincent didn't recognise JT's role in his life for 10 years but, of course! if Vincent doesn't remember JT, how can he do so?? Thanks for this! I feel better now

What is annoying me to is that there not even showing Vincent wanting to remember his best friend who gave up so much for him for over 10yrs but are quick enough to hook Vince up with a she beast and like many i'm more sure now than before that's what will happen hence the episode ' Man or Beast' I don't think it will have anything to do with that he is killing people it is going to be do I want to be with another of my kind or have a somewhat normal life and have that someone special in my life as in Cat, For me Tori is going to use Vince becuase of what he did to her dad and becuase Vince won't know yet why he reacted in the woods like he did which by the way I hated the hug and serioulsy thought they were going to kiss then I was like and Cat is either going to walk in on them and decide enough is enough or Vince will hopefully come to his senses and push Tori away. I want to see JT and Vince's back story Austin is sorely missed in each episode and the warmth and friendship that they had Vince doesn't seem that bothered abiout getting back. I get that he is getting memory's of him and Cat back becuase of the pull he mentioned but they could at least show us some flashbacks of him and JT. I've had enough of the beast of the week I want to see Vince accepting himself again and i've a feeling that we will be left with a cliff hanger of will Cat stay with Vincent or go off with Gabe and that's sad I personally don't think it would hurt the show if the writer's were made more aware of our concerns in a constructive way, I know they will do what they want to do but fan's do make a impact on a show's sucess and they need to take that into account.

This rant was triggered by Katie's post and will be full of random thoughts. Thanks Katie, for finally making me write down all this. *takes deep calming breath<edited> That's like watching CSI and saying if there will be another homicide case in the next ep I'll stop watching the show. First season = Vincent hiding from Muirfield, trying to find a cure (none of it accomplished but lead us to the next storyline) Second season = Vincent reprogrammed to be a super soldier to hunt down beasts (we will see how this turns out) Third season = ? (I am not a writer so I have no clue) Fourth season = ? (yeah, it's possible) If someone wants to watch Vincent save people and fight crimes I suggest they switch channels and watch Spiderman or Superman or Ironman… This is a BEAST not a superhero. Catherine finding out who her bio dad is doesn't need a 10 episode arc (it's the same as Clark finding the spaceship, his dad telling him about him being an alien and that's it - that was one episode and they moved on) now that she knows it, they can build a story on how it will affect her life and relationships. Continuously questioning where all these beasts were in the first season? Well, they were not written in the story. This show is a different take on the old version and has nothing to do with it. Thank God I never watched it so I don't look for any parallels. Same goes for TVD. I've never watched one single episode of that show so I don't care if Vincent's heart ripping looks the same. Missing scenes where Vincent saves Catherine? In the first season that was the problem. Catherine is not a strong woman if the beast needs to save her all the time. You can't have it both ways. First half of the first season was about Catherine and Vincent bonding. Second half them fighting against the world together. This season Vincent and Catherine trying to regain Vincent's human side. Second half of the season? We don't know yet! But I want to find out as I have no idea what's gonna happen. Thank God it's not so obvious! Vincent does not have to do all these missions. He could sit in his boat house and watch tv. Sometimes Catherine comes over and they make out. That would be great! and BORING. Reynolds could tell Catherine the whole story of her past over a coffee one afternoon. And then what? End of the show. Or Catherine can be upset at her bio dad and so we see no interaction between them at all. Then what? No show. Gabe tells Catherine he has feelings for her. Catherine says sorry I don't. Tess is happy. End of the show. If everyone tells the truth and acts nicely there is no angst, drama and then there is no show. Always fearing new characters that are brought in the show? With the same characters there are NO new situations that can move the show forward. The episodes are fast paced? Thank God there are no long cheesy conversations trying to explain everything for the viewers. Vincent changed from a good person to a bad one? YES! He is a beast. Catherine fell in love with the good guy and that's why she keeps fighting for him and believes he can be that nice guy again. "Oh, Vincent killed someone I am not in love with him anymore." That's not how it works. No JT and Vincent moments in this season? Well, Vincent does not remember JT. How could they possibly spend time together? First we want Vincent to remember Catherine then there will be time for him to remember JT as well. We can't have everything told in one episode. Problem that Gabe was kept in the show? Well, that's a good thing as we continuously speculate what his purpose is. We still don't know if his intentions are good or bad. What's his relation with Reynolds? Reynolds might exactly know who Gabe is and has a plan with him. Episodes are lacking VinCat make out scenes? We had one and people already complained about it. We are waiting for the big moment just like we were looking for their first kiss in the first season. VinCat sex in every episode? Boring. This way we are always looking forward to the next ep wishing for sweet VinCat moments. AND we always get some! I am not saying the show is perfect but picking on everything they do is just frustrating. We want answers for every question in one episode because we think we won't get any more seasons. That is so wrong and totally determines our feelings towards the show. What if we would have two (or) more seasons? Would you be so worried all the time?
