I noticed that too (thanks oriana for writing it down) and I thought that it shows how Vincent wanted to forget about all that happened. This is a beautiful thought but I can't say if this is done on purpose or is it just a blooper? I think on purpose, the scar is there in the second dream

I think on purpose, the scar is there in the second dream But Vincent wasn't shirtless in the second dream... I have to say that for some reasons that I am not even able to explain myself, I did watch the last scene just once. This is weird but it was a hard scene to watch for me. Really don't know why.

Clearly I have to go back and watch again; what a pity! I had chalked it up to carelessness on somebody's part....I am hoping the romantic view prevails!

First dream....thanks to Yolie's clip, was just beautiful back and chest with no sign of a scar. I'm with locaxbab, and hope that all of that beautiful scarless skin represents the romantic version of forgiveness and not just a blooper.

I feel like as much as the writers can be careless with some of the written details, the visual details on this show can be impeccable and always have meaning. The facial scar was removed by the show to help simplify the special effects needed moving forward. But sometimes, I like that they removed it as I can differentiate S1 & S2 beast. Plus I always wondered why if he could heal and he got that scar after he was injected... why did the scar ever form? When the writers explained the scar to us in that episode in S1, I never thought it was believable after they told me he could heal on his own. But back to the dreams - Perhaps it means that Catherine is not able to truly deal with some of the consequences of the shooting just yet? I think she was justified to shoot him to some degree, but that shot definitely had some major impact on her, V, and their relationship. She might have convinced herself that she has moved forward from it, but I dont think she has fully forgiven herself or V for causing that damage to themselves. She is still swimming in denial & a whole bunch of other negative emotions or haze. So I think the writers were trying to show us the difference between where V is and where C is on their journey back to each other.

Vincent got the scars on his face and abdomen from the knife fight while saving Vanessa. Could the ability to heal himself be something he developed later, like his night vision...or perhaps even though he had the ability to heal quickly, there are still physical scars? Regardless, there should be a scar where Catherine shot him. Let's hope for a shirtless scene soon, so that we can carry out some serious studies on this intriguing matter. LOL

What were you saying? I lose all train of intelligent thought when I think of shirtless scenes. Maybe since the scar on his face was received during his initial transitional stage to Beast it didn't heal. Also, it represented outward ugliness (hard time using the word ugly when it comes to Vincent) with inner beauty in Season 1. In Season 2, the gorgeous scarless face represented outward beauty with inner ugliness. Now that the inner good is starting to shine through, possibly the scar from the gun shot wound will remain as a reminder. Who knows?....still recovering from thoughts if shirtless Vincent.

I have watched the slomo of that scene quite a few times and I'm struggling to see the scar. Maybe my Xray vision is on the fritz..... One of the possible times to catch a glimpse of the scar has a big fat CW logo.

This is a beautiful thought but I can't say if this is done on purpose or is it just a blooper? Hopefully not a sign of another brainwashing by the writers since scar removal is a side effect..... Hahahaha, that would definitely be a disaster.
