ok, so lots of views on new vincent so I thought I'd voice mine too. I really didn't think new Vincent is that much of a jerk, I mean he could have done much worse things. Up till now he has been pretty decent with Catherine and even J.T. I would not expect a memory wiped and soldier reprogrammed Vincent to straightaway be head over heels with Catherine. It is clear from episode 1 that she affected him and he felt a connection but at the end of the day he has been experimented on and he has a mission and he remembers nothing about his past. Ok, they are destined and are meant to be but that doesnt mean you completely fall for the person straightaway as soon as you see them even if you don't remember anything. from episode 1 i could completely feel the connection and attraction and I am more than happywith that, I would not expect him to be good old vincent straightaway, that would not be realistic. and if he "dates" or rather makes out with other women during this time (when he does not remember catherine existed), Well I am ok with that too. i mean, he is a super hot guy, has needs lol and i am sure 99% of women throw themselves at him, it would be abnormal if he had resisted his sexual urges since he does not remember catherine at all. also, the smoking hot line, I think that was a bit of a silly line by the writers, they could have done better to convey what they wanted to convey, but it is just a line so doesn't bother me too much. regarding future direction of events, based on spoilers etc, I am sure Vincent will have to do lots and lots of chasing (which again I am ok with provided they eventually completely agree they are destined). I dont think catherine will be the victim for the whole season and in the second part of the season (episodes 9 onwards) he will need to prove himself a lot and she will be doubting him. i am now sure there will be a triangle and provided it is dealt with better than the alex one again I am ok with that. there will be lots of heartache and we will be biting our nails (I will for sure) but it will be worth it. also, my worst nightmare would be if they end the season with a weird cliffhanger and no closure and then series does not get renewed, that would be horrific! too early for the season finale i wont worry about till 5 episodes regarding ratings then i will be ready with m panick button lol

^ for me, I rather see some 'layers' to Vincent and all these different sides to him than knowing exactly how Vincent will always be. I love Old Vincent, he's great sweet and tender. New Vincent is cool cause he's unpredictable, he's an enigma, he's so many things and we haven't seen all the sides of him and I'm glad we get an opportunity to see this and for JR to play with.

I know all questions will be answered eventually (maybe), but here's another pesky one I have: What the heck happened to Cat's dad? He had an attempt on his life that Cat witnessed but (apparently) he was going to recover. Now, three months later he's dead! It would seem solving his "murder" would be at least as high (maybe higher) on her priority list as finding Vincent. Did she solve that case quickly so she could return to Vincent obsessing? Did Tess find her dads killer? Did......? All these things left dangling really irritate me. In an attempt to lessen your irritation... Cat's father died; apparently of his injuries. He was in a drug-induced coma at the end of last season. He could have been on the road to recovery when he came out of it, but any number of complications could have happened later on. Catherine doesn't know that her father was murdered. We don't know if she has any of the random pieces because she has been obsessed with one thing...getting Vincent back and considering who and what Vincent is, the enemies gunning for him and the way he was taken from her, I'm going to go out on a limb and say, yeah. He's vastly more important than a run-in-the-mill hit-and-run. Catherine was never that close with to her father in the first place--at least I came away thinking that Mama Chandler was her favorite parent, and regardless of anything else, I can relate. If Vincent was my LOVER and he was snatched, I'd be moving heaven and earth to FIND HIM. Stepping back to take a breath. Back on point; Tess only saw a picture of the man she ran into in Joe's office on Daddy Chandler's iPad. She doesn't know or suspect that he has anything to do with Daddy Chandler's accident. We don't know if she or JT ever had the opportunity to tell Cat about it, because once again...Vincent's abduction took priority. And don't forget the most important thing here...just because WE know things doesn't mean the characters KNOW things. You're going to have to wait for them to catch up.

re: smoking hot line. It was so out of character that I HATED it. But how was it out of character? It's the new Vincent. He's reprogrammed, he's kind of a douche, so I expect douchey things to come out of his mouth. Out of Vincent's character. Just because he's been reprogrammed doesn't mean I'm going to find his antics any less jarring or out of character.

I'd prefer to some backstory...what did they do to Vincent? Why and what is their endgame? If it was to rid themselves of the Muirfield connection, that's been done. Now what? They have a weapon on their hands, one that they've apparently stripped of his humanity. Vincent is lethal and unpredictable...basically he's the worst of both species. How are they going to use him and/or contain him? Also, I can't see anyone wasting time, energy and money on Vincent's creation to simply have Vincent become more interested in his love life (i.e. women other than Catherine). There is a lot they can do here, I just hope they stay on an adult, adventurous, romantic path. Obstacles I can deal with, damage to either character or their relationship? That would be a no.

Me too! I actually enjoy seeing him as a bad boy he became! But I'm sure he's going to change, mayber never be the same good old V we fell in love with last year but in the end probably make peace with his new self and accept every new power he has now. It doesn't matter how powerful/superhuman/beastly he is if he can live with that and use it for a good cause maybe he can have a life. On the other hand, I'm a little sad for Cat.... poor woman, lost so many things and now that she could finally enjoy being with her love she just can't recognise the old V in him.... Maybe she thought at first but I think she's going to realize that soon. (events in Kidnapped)

THIS critic i like! She pointed out everything i like about this new season. "Power-walking away from a crime scene with a Don’t-<edited>-With-Me look on his face, Vincent taught us to expect the unexpected this season." Yup, new Vincent is sooo unpredictable. And that is sooo intriguing (translated - SEXXXYYYYY ) Even the writer thought so..."if Jay Ryan was hot before, then he’s sizzling now." (Sorry YOLLIE but i just have to use this!!)

Wow, the language from you gals! Some good speculation here, but I'm still irritated about the monstrous leaps in story/plot lines. Oh well, I'll watch along and see what happens. Good fun.
