Has anyone pointed out that Bob Reynolds knows *way* too much?
He called JT.
He called JT Forbes, just to ask for "Condor". Just to get JT to say Vincent's code name, because he was sure Vincent was there.
Scary!

Julz, that was the FBI doublecrossing Muirfield, or at least that's how I understood it. The FBI grabbed him in a net three months ago, gave him that super-soldier shot, wiped his memory, programmed him or whatever, set him up in the boat, and assigned him to get caught by Muirfield to draw Zhao out so he could kill him. Meanwhile, the FBI was telling Zhao he needed to recapture Vincent and give him that super-soldier shot. So he does exactly that, not knowing Vincent already had the shot and that therefore he couldn't be contained by those handcuffs. Apparently they would have restrained Vincent 1.0, but not new Vincent. Zhao fell for the trap, and then everything else gets set in motion. OK, so you think that syringe was just like a "placebo" or something? Totally fake? Hmm. I don't know. I guess I thought it really WAS the super-soldier shot, but Vincent kicked everyone's ass before they had a chance to give it to him. But I suppose it might have just been like sugar water or something. The overly helpful aide to Bob Reynolds said something about them stealing it without Zhao knowing and giving it to Vincent, right? Hmmm. I better rewatch for just to make sure.

I BLUSHED! lol I was so embarrassed for her. I was embarrassed for Jay Ryan having to say that. What a complete throwaway line. re: smoking hot line. It was so out of character that I HATED it.

I know all questions will be answered eventually (maybe), but here's another pesky one I have: What the heck happened to Cat's dad? He had an attempt on his life that Cat witnessed but (apparently) he was going to recover. Now, three months later he's dead! It would seem solving his "murder" would be at least as high (maybe higher) on her priority list as finding Vincent. Did she solve that case quickly so she could return to Vincent obsessing? Did Tess find her dads killer? Did......? All these things left dangling really irritate me.

He is now a mean killing machine..Catherine and JT come in and tgat moment again messes with what he was created, manipulated, supercharged for. That moment when he let's his guard down I think startled him. He didn't expect to feel anything. .Then his super soldier mind set once again took over. ..You can tell he's in turmoil. ..he doesn't know how to deal with his emotions. .hence Kidnapped...which I have a theory for do u think vin killed zhao or another beast Didn't Vincent mention to Catherine that Zhao "got away" and she stated that they would get him together "but not tonight"?

Zhao expected the "old" version of Vincent. He planned to "supercharge" him for other reasons. The FBI captured Vincent, "supercharged" him, wiped his memory, programmed him, and gave him the mission to kill Zhao. Does that help?

Many of our questions were answered in the first episode; I was thrilled as in Season 1 there was no continuity or consistency.

I was embarrassed for Jay Ryan having to say that. What a complete throwaway line. re: smoking hot line. It was so out of character that I HATED it. But how was it out of character? It's the new Vincent. He's reprogrammed, he's kind of a douche, so I expect douchey things to come out of his mouth.

And I don't think it's out of character, its the NEW Vincent style. I think the OLD Vincent also thought that Cat was hot. The difference is that the OLD one DIDN'T say it out loud while the new one has no problem to say it. I think he said so not trying to insult her but the OPPOSITE. He wanted to express that as much as he finds her hot he's not interested cause of so many reasons we may know or not (mission, avoiding the new feelings she's waking up in him, ... I mean, the guy was very lost at that moment!!!) So, I just found that line as a proof that he still feels attracted for her, at least physically!!!

I just realized there was a nice reference in the episode. When Catherine was talking to Tess in the beginning saying: "Sometimes when I am alone and it's late and it's quiet... I just want to cry... for Vincent... for my dad... but I can't... I have to stay strong." And at the end of the episode when she bursts out in crying... she is not alone anymore, she can finally take a breath and let someone else take care of her. She can finally cry. Ok, did this make any sense?? TOTALLY!! She's been holding in all that emotions inside, bottling inside her for 3 months. Which is why i felt sooo much for her when she cried in Vincent's arms. Even he felt for her even though he didn't remember her (i need a "wailing"emoticon)

Yep, I understand your take on that. But it's just so out of left field. I mean, what the heck does her being smokin' hot (or him saying it) have to do with anything at that point? Cat wouldn't of course, but other (normal) women would either roll their eyes and/or slap the guy after that. Am I wrong? No you're not wrong but it was an interesting line that can yield various perspectives i for one would be flattered if someone as gorgeous as jay said i'm smoking hot!!

ok, so lots of views on new vincent so I thought I'd voice mine too.
I really didn't think new Vincent is that much of a jerk, I mean he could have done much worse things. Up till now he has been pretty decent with Catherine and even J.T. I would not expect a memory wiped and soldier reprogrammed Vincent to straightaway be head over heels with Catherine. It is clear from episode 1 that she affected him and he felt a connection but at the end of the day he has been experimented on and he has a mission and he remembers nothing about his past. Ok, they are destined and are meant to be but that doesnt mean you completely fall for the person straightaway as soon as you see them even if you don't remember anything. from episode 1 i could completely feel the connection and attraction and I am more than happywith that, I would not expect him to be good old vincent straightaway, that would not be realistic. and if he "dates" or rather makes out with other women during this time (when he does not remember catherine existed), Well I am ok with that too. i mean, he is a super hot guy, has needs lol and i am sure 99% of women throw themselves at him, it would be abnormal if he had resisted his sexual urges since he does not remember catherine at all. also, the smoking hot line, I think that was a bit of a silly line by the writers, they could have done better to convey what they wanted to convey, but it is just a line so doesn't bother me too much. regarding future direction of events, based on spoilers etc, I am sure Vincent will have to do lots and lots of chasing (which again I am ok with provided they eventually completely agree they are destined). I dont think catherine will be the victim for the whole season and in the second part of the season (episodes 9 onwards) he will need to prove himself a lot and she will be doubting him. i am now sure there will be a triangle and provided it is dealt with better than the alex one again I am ok with that. there will be lots of heartache and we will be biting our nails (I will for sure) but it will be worth it. also, my worst nightmare would be if they end the season with a weird cliffhanger and no closure and then series does not get renewed, that would be horrific!
