The whole point is he is not himself, I mean he kissed her and she said, " we did more then just kiss" In her desperation or lust she pretty much told him that he had her permission. He still does not know her or understand why he has these feelings for him. We are coming at Vincent from our perspective from last season but we need to put ourselves in his shoes also for a brief moment. Nothing in life is ever black or white but always shades of grey. Catherine in my humble opinion was coming off as needy, jealous and a little sycophantic. She threw herself at him at every turn, I don't blame her we have all made mistakes in the past but with age comes wisdom and NOW ... Vincent will have to earn her love and trust. Maybe season two Vincent will have to fall in love with Catherine for who he is and not because the ground work had already been laid by season one Vincent. Trust me with Catherine's personality she will be back on her feet and she will bring season two Vincent to his knee's. Love is not always just readily given ... sometimes it must be earned and now I realize why Kristin has said that in multiple interviews. Crazyforv I'm guessing that the 'falling' in love again has to come from both ends? Not just Vincent..I guess she has to let go of the Vincent she knew and begin or try to 'love' this Vincent ..I haven't seen the episode BUT from taking what I'm reading I'm assuming this is going to be the case. Yes that is indeed what I am trying to say. Just like we all have to fall in love with Vincent again too. "Love is not love that alters when it alteration finds!" Do you know that was the first Shakespeare quote I learnt as a little girl and I leant it when I feel in love with the original Vincent from the 80's show! But that beast was never as sexy as Jay!

sadly i have 2 scenarios in my head, neither good! god i really hope that i am dead wrong but by all the silence and the shock i think i unfortunately might be right I am confused, I wrote a fairly lengthy answer so how am I being silent on this thread? Perhaps we both posted at the same time and you missed my earlier treads??? Either way, they are just my two cents! sorry i meant in general. the fact that there is always like 20 thousand posts per second, long posts at that and only a handful today is what made it scary. thank you for the long post though!

So, with all we are hearing, my question is...how does Catherine forgive Vincent for what is done/said in the final scene? Can she? If she has to let the "old" Vincent go, why should she try to stay with Vincent 2.0 considering his recent actions? How can they fall in love again when he isn't the same guy? How could she possibly fall in love with Vincent 2.0 when he treats her this way? Will his "old" personality and the man/beast she fell in love with, magically reappear when he gets his memory back? Doubtful.
Maybe they plan on JT working on some type of "reversal" of Vincent's DNA modification? That might help!

I know the quote well! I was an 80's BATB fan as well! So yes I know..You know once again as much as things get crazy..I can't blame Vincent..Sorry guys..He's not who he used to be...The process of learning to love someone is slow...and with that comes many obstacles, learning to know the person you fall in love with and yourself.

Okay, I enjoyed the episode...but at the same time I didn't. It was very much a 'torn' episode for me. It had it's great moments, a lot of them in fact, but then that last scene kind of just put me off to the entire episode.

Okay. I see what some of you guys are saying that she was kind of pushy. Which she was and she is very hung up on him. But he is the love of her life. And he knows how much she loves him, he knows she isn't lying. I think he had no reasoning for treating her the way that he did. Super soldier or whatever the hell he is, don't think it should justify what he did

Right I am off to watch it again, it may even be my favourite episode to date only because the stakes have become so high ... and alright because the kiss was Sooooo hot!

Since it was said. Yea he shoved her... :/ Glad someone came out and said it! Need to watch the epi tomorrow before I formulate my opinion, but I always felt that Catherine knowing that Vincent, even in Beast mode, would NEVER hurt her was a main premise of the epic love story! Now, it seems we are just supposed to throw that idea out the window? Additionally, we are supposed to believe that Catherine will EVER trust him again; let alone fall in love with him? Violence against a woman is a "No, No" PERIOD.

Most ironic thing is that she tells him earlier in the episode 'I know you would never hurt me'.

Then I got scared because there were no comments. I get the info on this episode,......and I will watch tomorrow with the mindset that Vincent 1.0 is "gone" and this is a new Vincent. But this was my exact question that you raised perfectly lilbit.......How will I look beyond this "stranger", seeing that he hurts Catherine AGAIN........and then like him enough to want him to be with Catherine?? I mean, hasn't she been through enough? Destiny or not, there comes a time when you just have to turn away from all the hurt and pain. I honestly, don't want to see Catherine hurt for the umpteenth time. It better turn around quickly,........
