Hello everyone, First of all, I had stopped watching BatB several months ago, but I still check in to see what you guys are posting. It's my way of staying up-to-date on my ONCE favourite show without watching some dreadful scenes. I was flipping channels tonight and saw some of the episode. In MY opinion, it was AWFUL!!! It is clear to ME, that the BatB writers are novices at creative writing. In the episode, Vincent was so out-of-character, acting VERY juvenile (but then again, aren't those in charge trying to attract the younger audience?) and I was quite turned off by his behaviour. Where has the serious, quiet, brooding, mysterious, reclusive Vincent gone? I used to find his character fascinating and intriguing and refreshing compared to other leading men on other shows. VInCat's interaction in suburbia (their hideout) should have been romantic, but there was NO romance or connection between the two of them (in my opinion). The writers seem to be focussing on humour, but in MY opinion, distasteful humour, corniness. I expected to see hugs/cuddling, chatting in bed, romantic dialogue....but it wasn't like that. Vincent and CAtherine should be behaving like a new couple madly in love. Instead, they are behaving like a couple who have been together for 30 years. The highlight of the show for me were JT and Tess. Vincent is the only was who is so out-of-character. So I wonder if he has been directed to act that way or if it's Jay Ryan taking his character in a different direction. Any thoughts? Folks, I'm not going to divulge more of the episode...I'm sorry, but some other fans on this board will most likely post some details of the episode shortly. I found it very disappointing, especially since it's so close to the season finale. BatB has changed too much. shame that u happened to watch this episode, i found episodes 15-19 great, they were very very good this was the worst episode in a while in my view anyway, off to bed

OK, everyone has different expectations & opinions. Right now, I'm almost halfway through & I like it! It's not a shoot-em-up, car chases or bad guys around every corner. IMO, [so far] it's a plain good episode with a good story line & good acting. Gonna grab another Latte, watch the rest & will get back to give my 2 cents worth.

I couldnt stop laughing when V was talking to himself at the dining table. And then when he was like I hate it when shes right lol I did however expect a little romance which we didnt get but I didnt hate it because they did go into good details about Cat's need to always be the good samaritan. I liked that convo wit the neighbour about kids. And I especially loved the ending how V said thats what made him fall in love with her.
Im surprised but I did enjoy the Gabe/JTnT scene...

I just finished watching it and I agree it’s a filler episode. But I liked it. Vincent was kinda out of character in this episode, I agree with that. Maybe it’s because the writer of this episode was new. She didn’t really get what Vincent, Cat, Vincat were supposed to be?
I also agree that JT and Tess were the highlight of this episode. They are a weird couple that surprisingly really works
Anyway, can’t wait for the next episode when things get back to “normal”, for Vincat and for us!

I can't figure out why the writers don't understand what we love and want in this show. Regardless that this is the Cw, the audience for this show is, for the most part, older than their typical viewers. Guess they aren't creative enough to think of better story lines. Too much bickering between C and V for me, and some immaturity on both their parts. I just expect more of their characters. And why did V keep asking her if she didn't sleep well? Doesn't he know? Should have been keeping her up, IMO.

watched it, did not really like it - a few good moments but a few good moments do not make a good episode i found it shallow and with little heart. if this is the potential second to last episode of the series you don't waste it like that ... loved jt and tess btw Totally agree. JT and Tess were, easily, the highlight of the episode.

I don't think we will get the old Vincent (S1 Vincent) back but I love him no matter what. IMHO he has evolved to be a better version of himself. But I do agree that he's out of character in some parts of this episode. Or it's just because we haven't seen this side of him before if you get what I mean.

I liked JT and Tess and their part of the story. but VinCat story was a great idea badly developed. I'm sure there were many other ways to show the same idea (Cat not being able to live a "normal" life), but making it more romantic and credible. All Cat's reactions were not in line with the situation they had been living and it seemed she cared more about her frustration and his sense of justice than about exposing Vincent to be in danger and huntted again. No romance at all even when it was the ideal situation for it. Instead of that, they were dicussing and complaining all the time which sounded to me ridiculous for a couple that had not been able to enjoy together more than 10 minutes since he was arrested. Jay and Kristen were great as usual, but I think the writters were completely lost, even if it was a filler episode they could have made it much better.

I agree, I think its cuz we are so used to the V from season 2 and now that hes showing his softer side lots of people find him out of character.
