Oh my... I wonder how people would react if this comment was made regarding Catherine... Seriously? I find it profoundly disrespectful to Jay... Thanks, Arwenfan, for your comment. This makes me sad! I hope the post is about the character, not the actor. You can hate characters all you want, but bashing an actor, a real nonfictional person, is simply unacceptable. Maybe you all need to relax and read it clearly before throwing darts at the poster, I don't think it's bashing of the actor. Just too much fantasizing in here lately esp towards JR , gets everybody amped up. One thing i don't like for some members to imply or sounding like KK is the one chasing costars, i've read it on some thread. It makes me cringed. Just throw tomatoes or bomb at me, i'm fine with it.

All right, get back on topic. If "underwear model" is offensive, it's barely so, and no actors were bashed, so don't make things up. I think the point being made was that he is barely a beast as it relates to the traditional tale. But we all know this isn't a traditional version of BATB, by any means. People expressed their opinions. We can agree to disagree. It's over. Let's not make every little circumstance such a big deal around here.
Back to ep discussion please.

I strongly disagree with this POV. IMO, the beast has always been the more interesting character of the two and his journey is the most compelling He's barely a beast. He's an underwear model who sometimes beasts out. I actually find myself in disagreement with both sides of this - but that's what makes forums, right? To me, what a character looks like is not relevant to the basic metaphor being worked out in this series. And although Vincent has made the bigger strides in this season, Catherine went through a fantastic struggle in the first part of season one. Both have been damaged by life through no fault of their own and I hope for their happiness, separately and together. There are times when "Beauty" is literally true of Catherine but not necessarily internal (see my earlier posts). And Vincent's inner "Beast" has been much more significant than his outer appearance ever was. What strikes me about the series is the way they keep loving each other through the bad times (see Vincent in this episode). I really cherish that.

You are welcome to that opinion, of course, but it doesn't really add much to the conversation nor is it a fair assessment of the character. You may have had a point last year, where he couldn't control his beast. Now he's just a superhero who beast on/off whenever he wants: he can blur away, see crimes in his mind with his super tracking ability, has super strength, and he looks like an underwear model when his shirt is off. The beauty and beast lip lock and bang each other whenever they can, and most of the time, he's never a beast, so how is it even relevant to the fairy tale? It's not. Sorry if that bothers you, but it's the show's reality. This is not the fairytale. There are no princes or enchantresses or talking kitchenware. The premise of this series is a woman who falls in love with a man whose DNA has been corrupted by several animal species. The struggle is how they overcome the obstacles presented to that love by all manner of outside forces. Vincent is not a superhero. Depending on who you're talking to he's a beast or a vigilante or a creature or a murderer/criminal and now fugitive. He appears to have more control over his beastly aspects, but not complete control. He has always moved fast, had superior strength and heightened senses. He can't see crimes in his mind, he tracks people. How else could this be presented without a visual for the audience? You know, show not tell? Your comments don't bother me, they just don't work for me in the context of this series and I'm responding on this basis. P.S. Your complaint about Vincent's good looks are never going to get a rise out of me. I have no problem with eye candy. Bring. It. On.

I don't even know why they still called this show BEAUTY and (then) the beast when mostly everyone already agree that it's mostly just about Vincent and his journey anyway.
I suppose they put the BEAUTY part first in the title just for a show.

I finally got to see the episode, I must say that I liked it .. because it was light and carefree. It was like a prelude to what we expect after...a bit the calm before the storm I was fascinated by Jay, he is too good to make his character, was really at ease in the role of husband, took expressions very funny and likeable...came down really well in the new Vin!

As long as the eps are written by male writers, that Sh^t is not going to change,,,,,syr, just fact. We all were wishing for a Cat cathartics , that would put her emoticons front and center, and would not damage her love for Vinc. As much as you and I want the story to be about Vinc & Cat, it's written by males. Therefore Vinc-centric..........................In a perfect world, something different. 2dan

This matches my view, I enjoyed it too. I wouldn't want all the episodes to be like this, but it was a nice change of pace. Some of the analysis in this thread is really deep. Too deep for me to comment. For me, I just enjoyed it for what it was, but now look forward to the last two episodes getting back to the real romance and drama.

Did anyone else notice in the very last seconds of the episode when they pan out from Vincat, you can see a billboard for the Harrison Inn & Chapel. Lol

Thanks for the review anapi -season3baby :)!!! I love these girls too. I loved this line: "This is the first time these two have ever lived together and they are just blowing it. It should be all baths, showers, bedtime and movie watching." I soooooo agree! Some heart to heart conversation instead of case of the week wouldn't have hurt, IMO. It has been obviated that they both were in a relationship with other people ( ) and it has been fixed with an "I love you / I love you too", a kiss and some bedtime. I am missing some sincere conversation here. Oh well... I also like these ladies: Finally, Savana_ Dying for season3!, did you notice the tray with bread, garlic and tomatoes on the kitchen table for breakfast?? Pà amb tomàquet!

From a woman's perspective I can only feel how difficult it must be for the beauty to be Frenching and making "AMP"-like love to such a creature.
