<edited> yes it says as of february 10... so even dated is $3m meant to be a lot for a show? $3 million was at one time the average for hour long broadcast dramas while $2 million was supposedly the avg. for hour longs on cable. Looking at another Playback article though, it looks like Reign might be around $3mill per episode for the first season but Beauty might be closer to $2 mil. Not sure I'm reading the numbers correctly though. BTW, the Playback article still says the same thing even if they edited the preview portion: " Beauty in the Beast has now, as of Feb. 10, also been giving the official go-ahead for a fourth season, bringing its total episode count to 70 Does it really say Beauty "in" the Beast? Sorry the image in my mind just went to the gutter...

Sorry the image in my mind just went to the gutter... Sadly, yes it really does say that. I cut and pasted that directly from the article. Oh for the days of a good copy editor. So I'm afraid that perhaps word that the CW is denying the renewal is true. But are they denying the renewal of "Beauty in the Beast" or is it "Beauty in the Beast" that has been renewed and not "Beauty and the Beast" -- the plot thickens. Or for those shippers out there, perhaps it was a Freudian slip by the author caused by something the show's onsite Canadian producers revealed about the relationship of the show's leading lady and man or something she witnessed during her set visit.

Beauty and the Beast goes Fifty Shades of Gray to Beauty in the Beast.

Adding more heat to the fire... Cinespace’s episodic clients have the highest levels of renewal and facility retention in the industry (Warehouse 13, five seasons; Flashpoint, five seasons; Nikita, four seasons; Beauty and the Beast, four seasons; Reign, three seasons, Bitten, two seasons). Obviously someone knows something Either that or two different articles confused season 4 instead of season 3? I highly doubt it LOL I highly doubt it too! I'm convinced S4 will be a given. It's just another torturous waiting game now for the CW to come clean and announce it officially. But waiting patiently is something we beasties have learned to live with. Season 3 will be here and then over with before we know it! I'm just going to enjoy the ride and take things as they come. Has anyone thought about that this could be a smart PR move? Letting leak the information in the first place and than conceal it (changing articles, deleting tweets) so that everybody is talking about it?

Letting leak the information in the first place and than conceal it (changing articles, deleting tweets) so that everybody is talking about it? I thought that too... And I think it was a great promotional idea from whoever that came because it has generated a fuss and a rebound of news... much more than every single article would.
