Oh my no pregnancy please lol Ehhh I am okay with a pregnancy because I already have a specific image in my mind of VinCat being parents together, especially V in the role of Daddy. LOL Yeah I could imagine that! But IMO it could take a few seasons. Let just VinCat enjoy some time together - they always having too less. They need to find a life together first.

But I think they might be playing it on the safe side since S4 and beyond is so up in the air. If it was guarenteed S4 and beyond I'd say wait. VinCat need the alone time together. But just bc VinCat have a baby doesnt mean there cant be any good story if BATB gets renewed for S4. I am happy with whatever they give us. I just want to be able to have the option/opportunity to see it all. And with everything so up in the air 4 #BATB im nervous we wont get the option if they dont do it now. If that makes any sense. lol

But yes I can see why many beasties would love it. But for me I d rather that topic is not explored ... I know though not a popular view

Okay just a bit of trivia
The original series with Ron Perlman and Linda Hamilton lasted 3 seasons with 21 eps in season 1 22 in season 2 and 11 in season 3. The show was cancelled. That's 54 total
Now we have season 1 22 episodes season 2 22 and now season 3 13 making it 57 episodes ..if this is are final season it would be almost the same in numbers as was the original.
I'm hoping for at least another 13 episodes after this bringing it to 70 and better numbers for syndication
I'm being realistic here...I would love 5 more seasons but I know we're not going to get that.
contracts for both leads are up this year so of the network wants to sign them on again I think it would be for one more season. The question is would KK and JR want to sign up for a 4th season? That's the issue aside from ratings that we have this year about renewal.
I personally think those decisions have already been made.

Honestly unless for some reason our ratings skyrocket 4 S3, I think its a done deal. I think that this will be it. And it literally pains me to write, say & think those words. I think that the numbers do increase & the CW is happy with it, I like you say one more season after 3. I definitely dont see us getting beyond S5. I do think that both Jay & KK would come back 4 a S4 if the network wants them & as long as they dont have better job offers. I think Jay imo would like to stay in the American mainstream tv over going back to NZ tv, so if no other American shows have grabbed him I think he'd say for S4 as long as obviously the network wants them. KK I think will stay if Jay stays.

Like many others I would like BATB to go on for many more seasons. I also accept that like any other show on TV there is a chance that the show may get cancelled but as an eternal optimist I keep on hoping for the best. The situation with the current BATB is different from the 80's version if I am not mistaken Linda Hamilton left the show in the middle so it would have been difficult to continue with the show long after the beauty had gone. I do not think that if the 2 leads still want to continue with the show it would be that difficult to extend their contracts for another year or 2 if the network still wants to renew the show for another season. On the other hand the other shows on the network with the exception of a few are not doing that great especially those in the Monday and Friday timeslot at 9 pm. I have a feeling that when BATB returns it may be taking one of those 2 slots. So IMO in the foreseeable future whichever shows take those slots will get more or less the same ratings which means that not many of these shows will have more than a Couple of seasons. Something I think the network will take into consideration when making their decisions.
Does anyone know if Jane will be going on hiatus in December? I ask because I didn't see its mid-season finale date listed with the other shows in the announcement issued this week by the network.

I will always remain optimistic. It's never over until the fat lady sings!
There are so many unknowns at this time, it's way too early for me to even think about doom and gloom scenarios. For me, it's like we're at the start of a new season in sports. Your team might have had a bad year the year before, but it's whole new ball game come the new season - anything could happen.

Remember that one of the reasons for a S3 is that the show is profitable overall due to its international following.

I refuse to be negative and give up hope of geting more seasons! I know there are many factors that are out of our control, so as a "international" (do not count for CW ratigns) beastie, I am doing the only thing I can: To vote in PCA!. But I have a question. Does anyone knows about ratings in Show case Canada? I've never heard about it...

^ Like I original said..it's more about the leads willing to do another season. Ratings at this point are secondary. We don't know if Jay or Kristin are willing to do another season. That's the fact. I'm the most optimistic person on this board I'm just throwing the reasons we might not have a 4th season.
