unfortunately Rai2 the channel that broadcasts BATB in Italy has moved the show from prime time (21:10pm) with two ep to a later time (22:50pm) with one ep only gee! I really hate Rai2 and not just because BATB, it's an old feelings because of another show I used to see years ago (La Femme Nikita with Roy Dupuis and Peta Wilson), that show have had the same treatment that BATB has having now grrrrrrr it's not fair

Ok since BeastieBoy already posted in this thread the VinnieMancuso's original offensive article (as Austin defined it) talking about BATB most pirated show on NY observer.com/2014/08/new-york-got-caught-pirating-beauty-and-the-beast/ GRRRRR I go on here and post this tweet from Austin Basis who asked to spread some Beastie Comment on that dispregiative piece! I gave my comment to support our beloved show because actually.... who the hell this guy think to be to have the right of criticize people from what shows they watch! So the NY kids aren't cool because they watch BATB on his opinion? oh come on! but above all how dare him to define an AMAZING show like BATB as "stupid show"? have him never seen it at least? I bet NO But...you know what? if his purpose was to denigrate BATB then.. he really shouldn't have waste his precious time on the article because what it pointed out is that BATB is a worthy amazing and a beloved show!!!!

I found this S2 ratings....wwow....horrible ratings. and I found interesting thing.. people said that Canada early airing doesn't help ratings..but I think it helps a lot. people back ep12, ep17. esp ep17..!!! even still same horrible Monday (people said that not my word) If Canada early airing didn't exist...people never turn back. I remembered S1 ratings...even vincat has sex but doesn't help ratings a lot. I think poeple never turn back..because they didn't know what happened.
Just I wonder...one thing. what happened ep1's rating. wow start with -69.06% (where's S1's loyal fans? that point..no one knows S2 horrible stories or...just they're light fan? and just lost interesting BATB?)

I have also wondered about the same thing. Many say the ratings went down in season 2 because people did not like the story line. But from the table provided it does show that season 2 ratings started down before anyone knew the direction the season was going to take. I have also noticed that for a few years now all the shows that take up that time slot for cw struggle for ratings and the ratings range for these show is more or less the same for all these shows. I wonder why that is?

People don't understand another factor for the ratings drop...date and time. I think Monday and the 9pm time slot are killers. I think the show would do better in the 8 pm time slot on a Tuesday Wednesday or Friday..but that's just me lol

it just proves one thing whether vincat is happy or not sex or no sex s2 viewers sticked it out. if they can do the same demo 0.3 for s3 it will be good

Lol. It says a lot that when we came back in June and aired the final 6 episode w/ the exception of 217 we ranged within 760,000-870000 viewers. Which means 75,000-100,000 viewers came and went. We didn't have that big of a drop in viewers in the long run except from 217 to 218. And it says a lot that more or less we were able to stay in that range and keep our demo with it being classified as a summer show

At least in America, the problem especially has been the timeslot. Monday night turned out to pretty much be the most-watched night on TV here for most people (at least in my part of the US). "Dancing With the Stars" always landed in the Top 20 and was on during the whole first part of the season. And a lot of people don't want to start watching a show anymore mid-season--they just figure they'll wait until season end and binge watch. Which doesn't help the ratings. Fox power shows like "Bones" and "Sleepy Hollow" were also on Monday at some point when BATB was. Even in the summer, reality show opportunities were most competitive on Monday nights here as well as other highly-anticipated scripted shows like "Under the Dome." While I would have liked to have seen the CW at least TRY to have moved BATB's night and time, at least for the summer airings, I understand that networks try to avoid moving shows if they are already struggling as moving said show can often be the kiss of death.
I also think that airing the show in Canada first DID hurt us here in the US. Just from reading the forum comments (say, when learning that Cat had shot Vincent), fans were so livid that they swore they were quitting the show and wouldn't watch the controversial stuff.
For any hope of a renewal, I think BATB almost HAS to air at least part of Season 3 before May. Personally, I can't help but hope that the new CW shows just don't do well so that the CW needs to fill the time with BATB, ESPECIALLY if it meant at least TRYING a less competitive night and time.
The fact that BATB is still being given enough money for somewhat elaborate new sets is encouraging to me, because if the network truly wanted to kill it outright, they could have severely lessened the money flow for things like new characters, sets, etc. So I really think it comes down to how the new shows do for CW in the fall.

lol yes reigns figures following tvd on a thursday slot really are not good. i know we got a 0.3 last year and about 900k viewers for teh first episode but the 0.4 and 1 million viewers is the same considering the timeslot - plus reign is expensive tvd fell from last year's premiere plus many people did not like the first episode so lets see... crossing fingers that reign does not improve or/and further falls and tvd falls further .. though does not really matter for tvd cause however much it does fall it will still do reasonably well
