kp: I think daddy Reynolds knew about the collar end gem things. I think he knows that the collar is not for the beast but for the other half and in this case for her daughter. The ancient beast …………(I don't know yet) can exist or something if he or she has beside him /she's other half. So what I'm saying is Reynolds knew about his ancestor and he was afraid when he found out about C and her connection to V. And this whole mythological thing prevail if the beast and half are soulmate and they truly love each other. I don't know maybe it's a little cloudy but I hope you get my point. Or maybe I'm wrong. You tell me. Right now for me is the only logical explanation. And I think C mom knew about that too.

beastiegirl: When JT was attacked, my first thought was how did they know where he was & that he had the collar!
Because of the secrecy over who hired the gang, for me everything pointed to Gabe!
I never liked or trusted him since he was introduced in S01 & feel he's still up to no good!
Happy to hear I'm not alone in that thought!

My sister just called me all excited and thrilled with Ancestors. I kind of mentioned how disappointed I was with Vincent but surprisingly she had a theory as to why Vincent has been acting like this all season.
-This is what she said and it's related to the mythology and how it's linked to V and C.
-Last season, Reynolds discovered that his daughter is in love with a Beast he helped create. She assumes that Reynolds is aware about the history of the gem and its connection to him and his ancestors. She thinks that C's ancestors and the creature that wore the jeweled shackle are connected in the sense that any Beast who contains the DNA of that creature has a link or bond with Reynolds' family/ancestors. Now when Reynolds discovers that his daughter is in love with a Beast, he kidnaps him and does something to his DNA. He somehow breaks his bond/link with his ancestors and family, including Catherine. It's a procedure so intense that somehow V's DNA just negatively reacts to Catherine or anyone in her family. She thinks that by finding this jewel and the creature that wore it, V may rediscover this broken link to C.
-I thought it was interesting actually. V is just having a full-on breakdown, angry and hurt that he doesn't know who he is and who he was. Reynolds did something to the guy that we still don't know the full details of.
-Now V and C fell in love but something in C's DNA drew V towards her. Reynolds knows everything about the mythology and V's DNA and has used it to break VinCat apart.
-What do you guys think?

kp: I liked 210 episode for me it was dynamic dramatic but there were more emotions (remorse) or something not much just a little bit I would had been more happy. I don't liked that C kissed G but I can handle it. I think V is so blind now (anger, frustration, lack of empathy and things like that) he cannot see beyond this. And to tip him out of this I think or maybe i just hope he needs just a little push. The mythology thing like I sad before it's most logical explanation for me anyway. Reynolds knows about the collar and gem from his past and how it would affect his daughter if she's implicated in this. He sad to her don't know when "I told your mother I will stay away until your 18" if I remember she was 18 when V first saved her right? But he couldn't do anything because Vanessa was killed. So he couldn't meddle in this mythology thing than so he decided to hunt all the beasts so any of them can reach to her daughter. I don't think is something magical it is more like some kind of balance or something, yes and I think the gem is for a she. I guess Tori's dad knew about the gem too and he wanted it for his daughter but he didn't knew about the love part. Thats how I see it because otherwise I can explain the epic love and the mythology.

roar20: Am I the only one who can't stand Gabe, I still blame him for most of the things that happened. Its like Jt is the only one who remembers what Gabe did in season 1. Am upset about Cat and Gabe, I would rather see her with patrick or someone else. If Gabe can redeem himself, I think vincent can.

devin: No, I cannot stand Gabe. He is annoying! And this out the tooter "omg I'm so in love with Cat all of a sudden" is leaving me flat. He did a total 180 from season 1. Gabe was a selfish, ruthless character in season 1. He didn't care about his girlfriend at the time, Tyler, and was willing to sacrifice everyone who got in his way. Now all of a sudden, he is this honest, caring, loving person. Since when?
Something deep down tells me he's still no good....

All we know as a fact that 'somehow' Catherine is connected with Beasts thru her ancestors..as to the actual connection? It's up in the air for now.
I truly hope it isn't that Catherine's ancestors kept beasts as pets LOL, Like a dog beast or something.
That's actually not as far fetched as it may sound. What we know for sure is that 10,000 years ago there was a beast which was collared and it's a safe bet not by itself so it must have had a master. Catherine could be a descendant of these masters who controlled beast for whatever reason...

kp: Another theory that cross my mind and had to let it out. I know that since I saw the latest episode I have to keep my mind busy, hence I don't have to think about it. So I'm focusing on mythology line. Because if I find reasonable solution that could explain both the epic love and the mythological connection it gives me hope. So my theory now is (maybe later I find another one): the ancient beast was some kind of protector of somebody. That beast protect the gem and it's keeper. They fell in love but something separate them and they never find each other again. So every descendant of this creature and every descendant of this human seek after each other because of their love, and the key is the gem. Now I reread what I wrote and have more question for myself and it sound like a fairytale not mythology but hey it keeps me sane.

There's also been discussion about him being the man behind the Curio Shop incident
& the attempted heist of the necklace & JT's attack.

No of course not..the beast was being walked around or controlled in the 1800 meaning that such a creature was still around back then..So what happen to it? Extinction? How and for what reason was one kept in a leash?
