Can I just spare a moment to talk about how disappointed I am with JT? After everything Cat did for him and Vincent, after spending months by her side searchng for him and after seeing everything Vincent put her through since he came back, he simply changed teams and now he's Tori's #1 cheerleader? And his only reason for it is that Tori is a beast like Vincent? Because in no moment, Tori was even slightly cordial with any of Vincent's friends. In fact, she beasted out on JT. Could he be more shallow? It made me hate him and I would laugh out loud in the face of a person telling me one day I would hate JT. At first, I thought only Cat and Vincent's characters would be the ones losing all their morals, but it seems like no character is safe on this new season.  . Poor, poor writing. Unfortunately, I expect nothing less from the writer of that episode. I just want o take a moment to defend JT. I dont think he is for a relationship between Tori and Vincent. I think he was just implying that there is a scientific or "primal" connection in that they are both beasts. I think he's implying that it is worthwhile to explore what that connection has to answer vincent's questions about his past. As a scientist, he uses the scientific method of observation, hypothesis, tests, predictions to find consistent results that can be a theory or truth. His observations are that there is a connection between V & T, as well as V & C. He does not want Vincent to just ditch Catherine and move on with Tori. But he recognizes that V is not in the right headspace to fully deal with C. V behavior and comments towards C clearly indicates that he is a lil messed up when it comes to her. Like JT said, she will mess w/ ur head. Anyone who has gone thru a break up or lost a friend knows what that feels like. All the emotions good or bad randomly assaulting your head at the oddest times with or without triggers. You need space before you can get any degree of closure from those feelings. When he said your feelings for cat aside, IMO he meant lets put those thoughts/feelings away to discuss later. As a scientist, JT realizes that C dilemma cannot be solved in this moment and that it will interfere with solving the bigger picture. So per logic, to move forward in discovering the mystery he recommends that V put those feelings aside just for now. He wants his friend to find out the answers they've been searching for for 10+ yrs and he thinks T may be a lead to some of those answers. In the end, I think we all know that JT wants Vincent to find peace and happiness. I think his guilt is also making him want to find the answer to this mystery sooner rather than later. Explore I also think JT is in a really tough place. He is also trying to reconnect w/ Vincent. The memories of their friendship were also damaged by Reynolds. Remember in the earlier episodes he explains to either Catherine or Tess that he lost his best friend. JT wants their friendship or bromance back as well. I also think that V is still learning to trust JT again too, that is why he is still in the boathouse (his new safe haven) and not w/ JT. Their relationship has a lot of mending to do as well, and I dont think it will be as easy as V & C (and that is saying something) esp. when the truth about JT & muirfield comes out. I think JT is only trying to do his best to protect his friend, whom he feels responsible for. It'll be interesting to see how it all plays out. I have this gut feeling that T's departure from the show will be linked to JT's survival. Maybe V will have to choose to sacrifice T to save JT? |

ROTFLMAO! You know what? What the heck..Call me crazy LOL curly I think you need to get into this too..Since you and I have always talk about this.. Since Gabe came in the picture last season..He was shady to begin with..We all figured it was cause he was a beast. I think that it goes far and beyond that. Gabe has always managed to be in situations in which those around him mysteriously die or he kills 'to protect' someone else.In this last episode the Russian guy to protect Vincent. I think Gabe and I have said this for solong now that maybe this is why I believe it so much LOL..Is the head honcho of it all or at least working for the person who wants I guess the GEM and so on. Gabe loves old relics (right curly?) We know this cause he had a wall full of ancient weapons on his wall in the digs he had in season 1. Plus the carriage driver which Vincent was framed of killing by Gabe used the weapon to kill him with. He must have knowledge of such things. What 'if' Gabe did all this because before 'we' all knew that Catherine was part of the mythology and the mystery surrounding the beasts Gabe ALREADY knew....What if he knew about Catherine's ancestor? I think he got close to her for this reason. Maybe he likes her now(a bit) but mostly it's all to get what he wants. As for why I think he knows about Catherine, cause of what he said in Held hostage.. My gut tells me it has a bigger meaning then what we think..Also after Catherine leaves you can see his face change. I don't think this is cause he knows Vincent is inside either. "As far as our conversation? I said I'm in..That doesn't change. You're worth waiting for. ESPECIALLY ONCE YOU KNOW YOURSELF" Now what if Gabe's adopted father was involved somehow? Gabe said 'he died shorty after his mother died.Probably of a broken heart." Did you believe anything that came out of Gabe's mouth last season? Maybe Gabe's father since he was rich, started the competition with M when he saw what M had done to Gabe? Gabe had thugs working for him in season 1..Why can't he have them now? To top it off..You just don't change overnight. YOU don't.So telling me Gabe is a changed man is like saying I don't like Mr. banana! I think that when he was cast as Gabe like Austin they gave him a back-story, I Gabe is going to be the baddie in the end. I'm just throwing these ideas out here LOL..You asked  Ha Yoile! As usual we are simpatico on most things and especially Gabe. I totally agree and referenced the same Gabe quotes you posted as intriguing in the episode 11 thread when I saw and heard them. I thought it was just as interesting that Cat claimed that Gabe knew who she was as well which pretty much means the same thing but where is the evidence of that. I never saw any of this getting to know each other and remember he wanted to save her the specifics of his conversation with bio-daddy. What could they possibly have talked about? So again I really believe he has a tell whether it is from knowledge and interest from the beginning or newly acquired I think time will tell. But the idea that he is staying around to help Cat is silly. He has a stake in it, that is not to say it is not just wanting a relationship with her now. What better ally to have then her daddy and where better to get the info he needs or thinks he needs to keep her safe from the beast life and eventually to be with him, then Daddy. Furthermore, at the least If he wants to WAIT for Cat regardless then he won't give up on her that easily either. He is not Evan. I believe he is a megalomaniac just as the original character was in the 1st Beauty and the Beast. I mean why not leave him dead and bring in someone else after he was shot to oblivion. Why use him as a possible love interest for the lead instead of bring in someone else or new? Because there can't be 2 Gabe's. They used the name and bad guy premiss and are going to stick with it because they can't back out IMO. So it really is a matter of when the other shoe will drop. Could there be someone worse? Sure but Gabe as a bad guy is pretty much cannon. I almost fell off my bed when you mentioned Gabe's father. We really do share some brain cells or something. As soon as I saw a male hand come out of the back window of a town car my mind automatically floated to who is this wealthy white guy who has an interest in this? Who could it be? At first I was like it can't be Gabe's father but then I remembered he was adopted and very wealthy and his dad is white. I'm sure he would have an interest it all of this beast stuff and obviously a connection with Gabe. And why does Kern even bother stating anything about Gabe's wealth like that would ever matter to Cat? Totally not relevant or is it?  But hello Cat was practically living in the sewer system to protect Vincent and came from a pretty decent background herself. The other thought I had was the complete lack of information that we got on her adoptive Daddy Chandler as well and all things surrounding his death. Lets face it he fits my hand description too. LOL. So given that we know he had some knowledge of what her mom was doing we can assume by default based on his last moments on earth he knew somethings about the bio-daddy as well. So is daddy chandler still out there? Possible IMO. He could be on the other side of this beast thing as in an advocate or sympathizer, total opposite of Daddy Reynolds or..... he could really be dead..I guess..LOL But I will never get out of my mind the fact that Cats mom said that chimera's were something to be respected. Why? This was more than an experiment that went wrong for her, Is it something that she was doing to "protect her daughters" as she put it and more broader "her country" later. The latter part can take on many forms but it could just be that her country gave her the resources to research on behalf of her daughters or she was roped into it with that lie. Basically what I am saying is if there is a bad guy there will be a good one as well at some point and its not Gabe. This person behind the jewel heist is a bad guy judging by his actions in the next ep Now I have said since day one that all those medieval weapons of Gabe's and his interest in ancient artifacts will be in play at some point. It may have not been the intention last season with the procedural element still a focus but from a writing perspective it would be drama sci-fi series malpractice if it wasn't used somewhere to influence the mythology and story development or character development especially when Gabe was so randomly resurrected in the season opener. He by default has a purpose when he could have easily been replaced in the relationship scenario. I choose to answer Sendhils questions with and emphatic NO when he asked if a leopard could change it spots. If by chance he is good now than he will be influenced later. IMO In addition as I have mentioned before that I do not think it was an accident that Daddy Chandler worked for a Chinese law firm. It was so random but why showcase it with some random scene for a memorial, he wasn't even a partner. Cat finding out who she is has every thing to do with her dad's side of the family as it does with her moms, I would guess. Why does her Dad loathe these beasts so much knowing that he created them and that they were people first? he knows more and there is more to Cat's connection as well. My 2 cents for now. Oh as for the big cliffhanger. Im OK with that. At this point I don't need them together at the end. The show just needs to get somewhere fast and with with good writing with less exposition. IMO Just get on with it. I don't need fast paced episodes per se but if there is a rich story to tell get telling it. That with the romance is all that is going to save this show at the moment.
Last musing but Couldn't they have picked a different color for the Gem? Is this just a bone to Kreukies or Smallville fans or is there a significance? Gems actually give off vibrations and the stuff that people believe they can do and all the theories could be interesting. They are as old as the earth and have many different meanings and worth in different cultures and countries etc... If you want to throw yourself into spec over drive start looking into the significance of gems. Again I have yet to be given any reason to think this show is that sophisticated but I suppose any good writer would at least look at the possibilities of a bigger picture even if it does end up being trivial things they use.

They said ep 16 will have a big cliffhanger as if finale... maybe that cliffhanger is now in ep 16, in looks of not having a 3rd season? Ah crap so they are going to give us reason to hope for our VinCat for like what 2 episodes - 2.14 & 2.15 and then rip our hearts out again in 2.16. And if there is not going to be a season 3 there had better be a happy ending1 |

That would be correct Savana. Once the show returns in May, the remaining episodes (17-22) will be leading up to the Season or Series Finale. Ah crap so they are going to give us reason to hope for our VinCat for like what 2 episodes - 2.14 & 2.15 and then rip our hearts out again in 2.16. And if there is not going to be a season 3 there had better be a happy ending1 Sounds like it will be a long spring. We will need our favorite fanfic writers to help us get through the drought. |

What exactly do you mean? according to this episode 22 will finish with a cliffhanger, considering i dont think we will get renewed it means the series will finish with a cliffhanger which i would hate This has been addressed again and again…. and again. In my culture, the "old people" always say "you mentioned something over and over again, it WILL come true". Whatever they decide, i just want a happy ending (meaning our VinCat together again)  |

i hope you are right because for me i can't handle another heartbreak separation like we had in s1 final
