Good for you, Spydancer! Wish I had such confidence. I think I am falling into the rabbit hole.....HELP! LOL. Don't make the mistake of confusing desperation for confidence. I think the pain they will be inflicting on each other is going to be of the emotional type though… from here on out. As for the rabbit hole, hang on by your toenails. If you made it this far without tumbling down, you may be able to hold on a bit longer and see the light… don't do it. Look how bitter I still am. LOL! Yeah, but I've been with you the whole time; I just like to try to keep a positive attitude in hopes that it might rub off and proliferate. I've understood and agreed with much of your "bitterness" but I really want to believe the writers are going to come through. I guess I am stunned that it took 1/2 a season and complete character assassination to show that Vincent and Catherine "broke-up." Honestly, I started to fall into the hole with the infamous "shove" (which is why this thread really hits a nerve!). I am hanging on, Spydancer, but I must admit, even I am wearing down! Ugh!

They have hurt each other physically already - I think it will be emotional for a bit - but not for long - my hope springs eternal - I'm hoping the light at the end of my tunnel is not the headlamp of an oncoming train - I don't think I could survive getting run over again - still in bandages from the last one

I'm telling you, fanfic is the best medicine for this! Totally ran out of fanfics that I like. The summer was long… and the holidays… May we ask - what are your favorite stories or authors? Aside from this board . . .

I don't think he would and would also hope that the writer's don't go down that path again they got what they wanted with it the first time and that was the shock factor but to keep doing it in a physical way is just pointless. At the moment they are both hurting and so both are it seems are going to be more verbal abuse if you get what I mean to each other and I can see why the writer's are now doing that, for me they have been a part of each other's lifes for a short times yes as in knowing each other on a personal level and got to a very strong base of their relactionship and then Vincent got took and had all sorts of things done to him, then he came back not knowing Catherine now i'm not excusing the push on the roof but both had to learn to navigate some kind of relactionship again from scratch which isn't and hasn't been easy. So now theire broken up and both hurting so they are lashing out at each other instead of admitting on Cat's part more that she still loves Vince and doesn't really want him out of her life but can't deal with him in her life until he starts fightning for his own life and future himelf, and so I'm hoping that the writer's don't string us along for to long with the cold, frosty attitude they will show to each other understnadable that it is when you break up it's hard to watch.

I'm saying if Catherine pushes him, he might retaliate.
The thing that bugs me about that promo is Catherine's line: "Don't make me shoot you again, Vincent." It's meant to be a snappy comeback, but the problem is, I can just as easily see it being a legitimate threat. And that bothers me. Catherine gets to make that kind of threat and have it taken seriously because she has a badge and a gun, and I worry that her badge and gun have become her excuse for demanding people do what she wants. Tori seems to be the only one calling her out on that. I think Vincent needs to challenge Catherine a little, too, but I'm afraid that there's the possibility that the challenge will result in a physical altercation, and that's very much a problem.
If Vincent every does physically harm Catherine again, even if she starts it, that will be suicide for the show. The audience could forgive it the first time, because Vincent didn't remember Catherine, and she was getting kind of pushy. But if he does it again, his character won't just have been assassinated; it'll be crucified. No one will want to see a strong female lead going back to a guy who's bruised her up twice.

No, he would never hurt her again.
I think that ship has sailed. They have both done bad things to each other so its moving on now.

They may threaten each other in the heat of the moment - right now they are both hurt which causes them to feel a range of negative emotions: anger, sadness, depression, bitterness, blaming the other, wanting to take revenge etc. but this is not a show about physical abuse or how they terrorize the other.
It happened once and probably won't happen again.

It happened once and probably won't happen again. My problem is exactly this word. Probably. In S1, this word would never be used. It's not even a matter of comparing both seasons, is a matter of how much we're stranged to these characters now. We simply don't know what to expect of them.
