Maybe that's part of why Vincent dreamt it that way in his fugue state? His lingering guilt over the shove ? Who knows, hey? [/quote] Yeah. I liked your theory. I still can't believe, he shoved Catherine. I'm still trying to forget the scene actually a lot of scenes in S2... I agreed with you... Vincent felt guilty over the shove.

Ahhh s2 ...... The reason I started writing fanfiction.....so many things there in that season that didn't sit well with me, so I had to write my own corrections. runner12batb

Back to the episode: I think they did a nice parallel during the roof top scene between Catherine and Vincent with the early episodes of S2. This time it is Catherine who does not remember and Vincent is desperately trying to convince her that they know each other. He becomes almost stalkerish and pushy until she uppercuts him and runs away. In 202 SHE was the one being pushy and stalkerish and HE pushed her to the ground and then ran away. Mind you, I still hate that they wrote it that way in 202 and there is a huge difference between a slip of a woman hitting a tall 'beast' with her tiny fist - even if it packs a punch - and a tall guy/beast pushing a petite woman (or actually any woman) to the ground. But at least it showed Vincent what Catherine felt back then and how desperate SHE was to have him remember and just how devastated she was when the man she loved and trusted hit her. I never thought about that scene that way before. I really like your take on it, it does have a very nice symmetry to 202. You're so right about how the roles are reversed this time.

They're both wearing the same tops in this scene as they did in Insatiable. But I just noticed how much beefier Jay is in S4 compared to S1.

Happy Episode Day for US Beasies!Alright everyone, here we are. I've gone ahead and moved the thread a few hours prior to the airing of the episode. I know it's just a bit early, but I will be out for a family dinner tonight and wanted to make sure everyone was set before I left for the night. Happy viewing and enjoy the episode everyone!

WHYYYYYYYY is the clock so SLOOOOWWWWW!!! I'm absolutely DYING HERE!!!!!! ONE HOUR and 8 MINUTES TO GO!!! I'm at the office as this is the only place where I have internet access. I'm leaving now to go ahead home and wait for the episode, as there is absolutely NO WAY I am actually accomplishing any more work tonight before this episode!!!
I have always held a bit of a ball of anger at Vincent for how he behaved overall towards Cat in 202 (and I mean throughout the episode and not just the shove at the end). Vincent admitted that he KNEW Cat was telling the truth, as he is a lie detector. Yet he continued to throw in her face that she had "no proof" etc. when it suited him. So I have ALWAYS wanted Vincent to be in the same place as Cat. So I admit that I will ENJOY the rooftop scene, INCLUDING the kick to his face.
I actually watched the sneak peek of the guy with the gun coming into the apartment. I LOVE Vincent watching Cat sleep for a moment the way he did in "Date Night." I LOVE that obvious comparison, because like then, Vincent is having to contemplate his future as a Beast and what kind of life that means that he can give Cat. JUST like in that episode, you have guy(s) with gun coming into the apartment.
And I have to admit that I love how Cat handles the situation--just flippantly telling Vincent that she told him they should get a hotel room! She doesn't blame him at all and just accepts this part of her life. It is VINCENT that feels bad, just as in "Date Night." But even in "Date Night," all Cat wanted WAS hope for the future, whether realistic or not. She just wants to be in it with Vincent for the long haul. And her attitude remains the same here, yet Vincent's doubts from that Season 1 episode are the SAME. So LOVE this beautiful way of coming FULL CIRCLE, for things that have happened, both situationally and permanently to VinCat in S1 and S2.
Can't Wait, Can't Wait, Can't Wait TO FINALLY SEE THIS EPISODE. EXACTLY ONE HOUR LEFT UNTIL I SEE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHOHOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! I could rival that Dancing Banana with my HAPPY DANCE right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am enjoying this episode so much so far!! I actually feel like they have captured much of the Season 1 feeling in the first 20 minutes! It is so good to see Evan Marks again. Such a cutie, even though he was a bit annoying. He said he would "give his life" for Cat! Awww.......I do believe he loved her. She just wasn't a conquest to him. I admit that is what I thought for a long time. Oh yeah.............the "SCAR" is back! And the "FIRE ESCAPE"! My heart.............. O-M-G!!! REYNOLDS is in this episode too! DAILY DOUBLE!! Looking good Ted!! May I say that Catherine's/Kristin's hair is beautiful tonight! Oh no........Evan........don't get Muirfield involved!

This was a more creative story idea than most this season. I loved it. However, it's a story that's difficult to pull off consistently. The problem with these "It's a Wonderful Life" dream sequences is there CAN'T be segments where Cat & Tess go off on their own in a part that was not witnessed by Vincent. Or for Evan to have conversations that Vincent wasn't listening to.
But then if you don't do things like that you can't have a full, rich story. The same problem is seen by these "hand-held camera, first person point of view movies". They end up cheating for the sake of easier story telling.
But otherwise, nice episode. Good flashback sequences and fun to re-visit Evan and Reynolds.

I love this show so much that I loved the episode and overlooked the possible holes in the premise. But your views were something to think about as well.

For me, it's her signature look. I was glad to have it back, even if they used hair extensions.
