I was at work when I read the news on Twitter. I was able to retweet some tweets. Anyways after reading several tweets of the cast and crew saying thank you for everything and the fans getting sad, I actually started getting sad too. I even thought for a moment I was going to cry. The thing is we all invested so much on this show. We were so excited when we heard about KK in this show. We created the forum for people to get invested on this show, at the end we reached the goal. We lost some people during this ride but everyone that are still here or the one that are gone made what this forum is now. It's not goodbye, there is still one more season left and the forum will still be available as long as Proboards allows us to be here. Also, I'm thankful for this shows because it has shown us a side of KK that we couldn't have seen if it wasn't for the show. I'm sorry for all you guys that feel so sad right now but feel lucky, some fans don't even get to see a season 2 and we got 4 seasons. All that happened because of you and all the time that you have invested on the show. And I read in an article the writers will have enough time to write a real closure and I hope it's an awesome one.

I can't exactly trust my words right now due to the extreme sadness and desperation and grief. Even at its worst moments, I still loved this show with every fiber of my being. I just truly love these characters. And yes, we still have Season 4 to come, but that does little at the moment to cushion the deep sorrow I feel. But at least they have time to really plan a proper Finale.
I hope they do a flash forward. And that we get to see happy Vincat and kiddies. I DON'T want a twist where they kill off either Vincent or Catherine in the hopes of avoiding any kind of push for a reunion down the road. Just give me "and they all lived happily ever after" and I will somehow get through this. Not sure how at the moment. But that happy ending would be the perfect tribute to the fans that stayed despite the sometimes uneven or unexplainable.
We've had FAITH in our show and remained through it all. So hopefully we get the Perfect Ending that VinCat have promised themselves that they will never stop seeking.
I have loved this Journey and the character interaction and progression. For me, KK has really shined in this role in the way she really wasn't able to do previously as Lana. I feel we got the Lana from "Requiem" with a whole bunch more on top of it for BATB. I have loved Catherine's fierce loyalty and commitment to her calling as well as to her friends and loved ones. I loved the way Vincent adored his Catherine and how easily he fell into loving her, while trying to resist all the way (both times!). It was oh-so-inevitable that they just HAD to be, and not seeing this on my screen may just well end me. I can't imagine another show having such characters that you actually LOVE because of their moral centers as well as their passion for one another. They MADE me BELIEVE in their love and devotion.
And it wasn't just the love of the show. I have loved the deeply passionate fandom as well, even when it beasted-out in ways I could not have possibly imagined. Still loved that PASSION that the show naturally inspired in ALL, even if we didn't all agree on the direction it should take. A show that can so drive people to meticulously inspect every aspect of their favorite characters and moments just HAS to show you how much a show can INSPIRE and make you think.
Yes, the direction and writing sometimes left me wanting, but the characters have had such a pull that I could never even consider turning away from the screen. This is devastating news. I'm trying to be grateful for what we have had and what we still have to come, but I will need to wallow in grief first for awhile. I wanted Jay and KK to still be playing these roles when they were on canes and walkers, I freely admit. Please now pardon the sobbing coming from my office computer. That is just the grief temporarily overwhelming me.

Sad news indeed but expected. Thank God, we at least have 4 seasons. Its been fun and I shall continue supporting it through Season 4. No more Jay and Kristen on my TV and their sizzling chemistry...

All good things must come to an end. At least we have one last ride with S4 coming. Dr. Seuss got it right!

Thought this was interesting from TVWise. Season 1 and Season 2, this site seemed to have a good source with regard to Beauty's renewal chances so I'm thinking what he says here might be true as well. In this day and age, especially for a show with only OK ratings, four seasons is a good run. Time and time again Beauty & The Beast defied the odds scoring renewals when most had written it off as a goner. In fact, the third season pick up came down to the wire, with CW execs unsure about continuing with Beauty & The Beast. Strong online demand for the series on Hulu as well as strong international sales have been big factors in the show’s longevity, with CBS Studios International execs having described BATB as something of a “cash cow”.www.tvwise.co.uk/2015/10/the-cws-beauty-the-beast-to-end-run-with-fourth-season/

Too bad that they did not want to milk this particular CASH COW for a while longer.

Too bad that they did not want to milk this particular CASH COW for a while longer. Shows get more expensive each year as cast salaries go up per the SAG/AFTRA contracts so I'm thinking it was no longer a cash cow thus the last season announcement. I'd rather they ended it while the show had enough budget to keep up the production values and the entire cast together. I thought Smallvile looked so cheap its last couple of seasons, I felt bad for the actors. Speaking of Smallville,

Yes, pippin that assessement is probably correct. I remember reading an old interview with Brad Kern about the last (two?) seasons of Charmed and how he had to cut down the role of Brian Krause (LEO) due to budget constraints. If I remember correctly they wrote him being held somewhere in order to get the sisters to concentrate on the final big evil and then he was brought back for the last episode only. My head says that maybe it is better to go out with a high-quality last season, but my heart is breaking at the very thought.
