I really just can't see Vincent and Catherine together anymore. They have totally just ruined Vincent's character for me, he is unlikeable and so selfish at this point! And once again it looks like Tori is going to die and only then is Vincent gonna snap out of it and then going running back to Cat like a little lost puppy dog with his tail between his legs. Well you know what? I am actually more interested in the little relationship Cat had going on with Patrick in this episode. Can he come back please? He was cute!

I think "that guy" was pretty smart in directing us to the writers. He is an actor not a writer. If they haven't put it on the page for him, how would he know? From the episodes we have seen it has not been revealed. If he has filmed something we haven't seen, it is not for him to spoil. I thought it was nice he took his time to respond. The writers did answer the questions when asked during the Q&A--so as it turns out he gave good advice. yes, agreed I had no issue with his response at all i just thought his answer was very dry and straightforward, hence i said what a guy not fluffing around That's Austin's job Jay just said it as it is, straightforward; also not to encourage any more similar tweets i think. smart guy. I don't think he has that much time anyway between his acting and his family.

A short, direct response is really not surprising.

So.......after seeing the "Catrick" video.......I can say I LOVE this episode!! I absolutely love Patrick and Catherine together. His face after Cat kisses him the Bar is just too darn cute. The way Patrick looks at Catherine,.....he is mesmerized. (Reminds me of a couple long ago and forgotten ) I love his dimples. Yes......I want to thank the writers for "Ancestors" because it gave us "Catrick". The only time I will rewatch this episode will be to fastforward to the Catrick parts. Thanks BaTB writers for giving us a new Beauty and the Beast!! or should I call Patrick a reformed Beast of sorts! Vincent who?? I am saying this in all honesty........with a little tongue-in-cheek......but I am serious when I want to watch Catrick over VinCat! Now, when I see Catherine and Vincent I can't separate the pain and heartbreak. I don't know what it will take for me to feel different right now.......all I know if even in the next episode they put Vincent and Cat together it would just disgust me. It took 10 episodes to sever the relationship, and it wasn't even all bad. But the "BAD" has been extreme and devastating to me.

Watching the scene between Vincent and Catherine again at the embassy is truly fascinating. Apart from their back and forth, I found their interactions with each other here very telling. Well played KK and JR.
They start off very antagonistic, but their reactions to things they say to each other is interesting. When V brings up Cat 'having her tongue down some guy's throat' and she ask him if he's jealous, I like the look on Cat face as she gages his reply. She totally does not believe him (neither do I).
When she snarkily says, 'War hero? Not much of a cover,' V's reaction reminds me of the beginning of the ep, when he snaps at Tori for being out in the open and still lying about who he is. That comment from Cat clearly affected him because he still doesn't know who he is and is still lying to everyone. I think Cat noted his reaction too.
But the part I found the most interesting was when he tells her JT was attacked. I'm still surprised she didn't know up to this point. But what was interesting was that Cat and V let their hostility drop for a second and actually were both concerned for JT in that moment as he relayed to her what happened. It reminded me of those times when they would be honest with each other and just talk.
But then the hostility is back and we return to the snappy back and forth.
The last part that got me in this scene was when Cat says, 'Don't make me shoot you again Vincent.' It's the look on his face when she mentions. I think that subject still stings for him BUT I also think that that's when he decided to mess with her and throw caution to the wind as he walked away from the bar.
Either way, I found bar scene very layered and their exchanges were great to watch even though I hate when they do tit-for-tat.

Wow...I'm so sorry for you and the way you feel .It seems there are mixed feelings towards the way our beloved show is going but I can see that there are some very strong feelings of anger and sadness :overactionalert:out there specially concerning this episode. PLEASE: DON'T GIVE UP. HANG IN THERE BEASTIES! From my point of view the showrunners are sticking to the initial plan for this season : Vincent 2.0.It was necessary to separate Vincat after the fast (perhaps too fast?oh well, we, the fans begged for it so now, what's done is done)pairing of the 2 in S1.But I have to admit they have gone too far and now I don't know how the hell are they going to bring them back . From the actor's point of view it must be interesting for JR and KK to explore these new directions .For the fans it's a rollercoaster of emotions. As for the Catrick:I Loved it :dancing3:and even more in slo-mo .I hope we can see the 2 together in a another episode. But by now they should be shooting the last episodes of the season (let's hope it's just of this season!! ).So the showrunners can't really work with the feedback from the fans because there's such a gap between the shooting and the airing of the episodes.Anyway I loooved the chemistry in those scenes .I wonder what Jay thinks of this ?Because even though he doesn't tweet much he seems to follow what's going on the web regarding Batb...and not just reading fanfiction.I know this may seem wishful thinking but I really think he does.Just saying...

Regardless of anything, these two seen to know how to push each other's buttons and also at some level are still concerned about each other even when they're trying not to show it.

And this scene then coupled with the confrontation in the bedroom at the safe is just so vindictive ...........the pain he inflicts on Catherine is almost unforgivable at that moment. The look of "evil" for lack of a better term.......is hard to witness from Vincent. He wanted to hurt her, .....he relishes in the way he sees her anguish. Even when she says, "What happened to you?" do you see just a little glimmer of realization (and I have to look hard because I honestly can't be sure that he has remorse) but he hardens again and grabs the necklace and he just looks hateful to Cat. I just can't stand to see that scene again.

I think it's because he seems to care for her. There is tenderness in his eyes when he looks at her. This has been lacking from Vincent's recent interactions with Catherine (and it's becoming more and more painful to see...).
