At this point, I have NO WORRIES. We haven't seen SO MUCH evidence of VinCat COMMITTED to working TOGETHER to solve their problems this season to totally undo that now. No way, no how, in my opinion. VinCat are SO DETERMINED to remain together AND to not having to go into hiding permanently that Cat would NEVER turn on Vincent at this point. PARTICULARLY knowing how Hill set Vincent up. Catherine KNOWS what Hill did to Vincent. She would let him go rather than seeing him captured.
HOWEVER, Cat will undoubtedly face criminal charges for assaulting government officials. She would be a suspect to be HELPING Vincent, as Tess pointed out to her, AND would face charges of being an Accomplice After the Fact if found to be assisting Vincent in any way. (Which if murder has resulted, then Cat can be charged AS IF SHE COMMITTED the murder if she helps Vincent. So being an accomplice is no laughing matter.) So Cat HAS TO COME UP WITH A PLAN to remain free in the outside world and ABLE to see first-hand how the matter is being investigated (AND who will be WATCHING to see what happens--the bounty hunters will HAVE to know about Vincent's status now after this, so SOMETHING has to be done to 1) lure them out or 2) infiltrate those hiring said hunters.).
Vincent yelling what he does in the promo CLEARLY leads me to believe that he has arranged this ahead of time with Cat. Because if Cat REALLY believed that Vincent had "lost it," she would talk to Vincent about turning himself in. At this point, turning himself in just gets Vincent killed easier, so Cat has to "play along" with trying to help the Feds take Vincent into custody. THEN, that means Cat looks "innocent." Cat can then ASSIST in the investigation AND keep her job---meaning she gets INFORMATION on the investigation.
AND with Cat on the case, she will AT LEAST know the players, the status of said investigation, and who crawls out of the woodwork wanting further "information" on Vincent or to "help" him. Because Vincent on the lam CAN be a means of him appearing desperate enough to JOIN some other organization that wants to recruit someone with his "unique" abilities. So this will be VinCat's PLAN undoubtedly.
At least, that is MY THEORY, and I am sticking to it. Becaues Beasties would ROAR with EXCESSIVE indignation if VinCat were to really go through such a significant setback and denial of their love. Even Kern would not be that stupid to take on roaring Beasties, who would feel too betrayed if VinCat fell apart. SO not happening. Just VinCat having to LOOK like they have "broken up," surely.
(If I am wrong, then little Voodoo dolls of Kern and Writers to be made and burned in effigy I say!!!!)
