Just re watched for the umpteenth time (always amazed that I constantly long to see it all again, even though I can pretty much quote every line by now - I know you're with me on this!) Two things strike me: In the museum, when Catherine goes down the steps to leave Vincent, it's as if the breath is just sucked out of him, like her leaving him is like running out of air to breathe... On a lighter note... I'm thinking if Vincent hasn't really been in the sun for 10 years, he should be a lot paler! Instead, he looks perfectly tanned and gorgeous!

I didn't feel, as others did, that the yellow eyes meant the big 'O' ... but I do think that this was a sex scene. full stop. No ifs ands or buts imo. Although in real life, people may lay naked in bed together all the time and just kiss, on tv and the movies, there is a certain implication with a scene like this... If they are in bed talking with their clothes on, well yes, maybe they didn't do it, but naked, and in various sex positions? I mean like when Catherine was on top? I am expecting to see the morning after scene in the next episode... Spydancer, I'm with you on this, exactly.

Hey, I'm thinking someone should start a separate thread with the whole "tongue" issue! Pretty much ready to move on a bit now... And how about if the Jay and Kristen stuff could go on the JayKris shipper thread?

Okay, question, everyone! When the producer's preview spoke of a surprise ending for the audience as well as for two cast members, what did she mean? Is it that Vincent and Catherine can, in fact, have sex? So she really meant characters, not cast members, right?
Any other theories?
Okay, saw this on twitter, someone loosely quoting Catherine Ashton: @designingashton said it was closed set so no one else knew how hot! So it seems that the end-of-episode surprise was that some of the cast didn't realize how steamy Vincent and Catherine were going to get? Or maybe that Vincent was going to beast out, and then get it under control?

Excellent musings, Yolie! It's great to go back over things scene by scene...
I agree the final scene was probably the best love scene I've seen as well. It felt perfect - slow and sooo romantic. It was as much about discovery, vulnerability and trust as it was about sex.

The museum/masquerade kiss kills me. Dead. Aside of the fact that it is absolutely beautiful, it feels like there is a HUGE silent conversation going on between the two of them regarding the future of their relationship. His decision to kiss her is like a jumping off point, in the end it seems to leave them both almost speechless... She looks like she can't even figure out what to do or say at the end of it... I just love it, and the way he looks at her... steamy. These two are experts at communicating without any verbal dialogue... Perfectly put, spydancer! I like that - they are experts at communicating without words! That's an "aha" moment for me. I'm continuously searching for the reasons this show, this couple is so... magnetic, (epic, magical, you fill in the blank) and I think their ability to convey deep emotion with just a look is unparalleled.
Another thing that strikes me is how many looks they both have. Not simply their haristyles, though that is constantly changing, but their actual facial expressions are really stunning. A lift of an eyebrow... a small, medium or large smile and wham!, a deep emotion is virtually shouted at us.

EXTENDED PROMO SLOW MOTION!! Time to speculate and examine! Yolie Beautiful job, as always, Yolie!
Looks to me like the Insatiable promo bed scene is NOT Vincent's bed,,, more like they're on the floor? Different pillows/sheets, and concrete close to their heads, unlike last week's ep. Maybe in Vincent's new location?

Interesting clip, though nowhere near the drama of last week's! Intriguing to speculate whether Evan will be on team Muirfield or team VinCat in the long run...

Looking at the promo in slow motion... When Evan says he thinks she knows who the cross-species is, I think he is talking to JT. It looked like his glasses from that angle. Or am I just crazy? I believe it is JT... glad those two will be back together, at least for a scene. Hope they get more!

I loved Catherine's response when she pulled away from him in the warehouse. I felt sorry for Vincent, but could totally relate to her "no touching unless you mean business, mister" reaction. I also liked her adorable reaction at the gala (after the Ray incident). The sexual tension between them was palpable. Catherine's nervous little laugh (and touching her face as if she were too warm and flustered) was pitch-perfect as was Vincent's decision not to let another chance to show his love and desire for her slip away. Excellent points, arwenfan, I totally agree.
The look on Vincent's face when he realizes why she pulls away is priceless, heartbreaking. But you really can't blame Cat, since her she has now learned (as of 20 minutes earlier) that Vincent believes that he would've killed the woman he was with. They are both justified in their reactions. Finally they just look desperately at each other and ask"what can we do". Very sweet scene.
The museum convo and kiss scene is perfect as well! (Pretty much everything about this episode was perfect, imo.) It seems to me to be a turning point, that Vincent was able to control himself and use his beasting out to thwart evil, but not to kill someone. You can tell by both of their reactions that they are beyond pleased to see this progress... bodes well for future story lines where they will work together - VinCat against the world.
It really is impressive, and Vincent is becoming fully aware of the fact, that Catherine will do anything to protect him. In both the final museum scene and the final warehouse scene, you can see that Vincent is beyond grateful for Cat's sacrificial actions and love. She really is putting herself out there for him, and I love this side of their relationship. So glad we're done with the "will they be devoted to one another or not?" stuff. It's been a long haul, but now we're getting a deepening relationship, they're exploring and demonstrating the full extent of their love, etc.
In contrast to all this philosophical analysis, I'll just say that the first and last steamy love scenes were totally beautiful...

Just been watching the kiss at the masquerade ball and notice that Jay has got bruise on his thumb it looks like he done something to it unless i miss something and it happen in the episode. I wonder what his next injury will be I noticed it as well. Wondering if we'll see when the nail falls off - that's usually what happens with that kind of injury...
