Wouldn't it just be old home week if the one of the two threats against VinCat, Tess and JT turned out to be the disgraced and wounded police lieutenant Joe Bishop? His fate after being ousted from the precinct was never really discussed. Let's think, that mysterious vigilante caused him some serious professional penalties when those under his command could not capture him and the bodies kept stacking up until finally his own brother Darius became a victim and he still could not resolve the case while working with Gabe Lowan. Dismissed and disgraced, do you really think he could stop monitoring the goings on at the precinct. To discover that his prized detectives whom he felt close to, one of which was his beloved confident and girlfriend, could have know about, concealed and befriended the monster who killed all those people, his brother and career! What could that possibly do to a man who has lost everything and is on the edge!
This is only my imagined speculation but what a great story-line and bombshell it would be not only to Cat and Vincent but especially to Tess! To have to deal with someone who used to be so close and now they are a deadly threat with access to law enforcement resources. Not to mention, this would be a great plot-line to reunite yet another former cast member, Brian White, with the cast where he could attempt to play out the utter devastation of his revenge upon everyone responsible for his pain including Tess who moved on to a relationship with JT!
This may be nowhere near where our story may be headed but it was so vividly exciting to script it in my head! Just had to share with the Den and my longtime Beasties and Beast before our final episode!

A vengeful Joe would make a great story arc and an unexpected addition to the cast

Regarding the shower scene, they probably cut it from the episode, cause I see it fitting in with the first honeymoon scene, so who knows? That would suck if it was cut. I hope not, that would totally suck. While many thought it was from the honeymoon, I had a sneaky feeling upon watching Showcase's promo that the shower scene wouldn't be from 401. There are still many scenes from both the CW's promo and Showcase's promo that we haven't seen yet. Gillian Horvath said the CW's was made up of clips from various episodes throughout the season. Showcase's promo also seems to contain even more clips that we haven't seen yet. Also, I doubt that Showcase would have access to deleted scenes, since they have nothing to do with the production of the show. I have no idea which episode it will air in, but I think we'll see that shower scene. Another episode to look forward to is 408. Hitower said there's a racy bed scene. But again I have a sneaky feeling that the shower scene may not be from this episode either. Never fear. It hasn't been cut. It's coming up on Thursday night's episode 4x06 Beast of Times, Worst Of Times. Canadian viewers (and those that watch online like me, in the UK) have already had the pleasure.

I have already seen 406 as well, which gives us more to discuss on this topic. But to be fair and to not SPOIL things for our US beasties who haven't seen it yet, I'll wait until after Thursday to share my ideas.

Just a question Why are ep401 - 405 threads locked?

Just a question Why are ep401 - 405 threads locked? They lock the spoiler episode threads once the episodes air. You should still be able to post about 401-405 in the Episode section

While Joe and others from earlier seasons are on my Wish List as well to make an appearance (or at least hear about whatever happened to them), it most likely won't happen due to the people being on other shows. (Which also means that they would be too expensive to hire anyway, most likely!) I wanted that one particular Muirfield guy to make a reappearance, but he was a major player on "The Blacklist" this past season and will be in the spin-off as well (and he plays the SAME type of bad guy that makes people "disappear." I'm sure that they would have LOVED to have him make an appearance in 405 to play the same role he did in "Heart of Darkness," but he would not have been available due to the above.)
Since Joe was already discredited, it would be unlikely for him to be hired by agencies involved in covering things up, since he would be a liability from the get-go. Joe IS mentioned somewhere in one of the three BATB novels, so SOMEONE tried to throw a little information in about Joe's employment status. Again, Joe had gotten involved with another inter-office type relationship, and the person was trying to get him employed again, if I remember correctly.
I would REALLY LOVE a Season 5 in the alternate universe. Reynolds would still be alive and most likely helping VinCat, who would be on the run from the start WHILE getting to know one another. And while Cat would be feeling guilty over Evan. There would be SO much potential for this, plus I think that Beasties everywhere would get on board and Roar for this option. Again, this option would DEFINITELY be on my Wish List. Any number of characters could make a reappearance this way having NOT succumbed to their previous fates in the other universe. WISH we would get another look into this dream universe again this season, but I get that there is not enough time and episodes left (and we would have heard about it undoubtedly if they had).

An alternate universe Season 5 would be easy to do. All they need is for Vincent to wake up, still in the process of being brain washed by Reynolds after he was captured at the end of S1, but before his memory was totally wiped. They could make it like S2, S3 & S4 were parts of a dream, while he was delusional under the FBI's brainwashing torture. But I put the odds of S5 happening, as an alternate universe or in any form, as being far far slimmer than the odds of Joe making an appearance in S4. I think Joe could still be a bad guy on his own, not being part of any gov agency. He could have turned into a rogue bad cop, driven to the darkside, still not over his brother's death. Then he could have hooked up with an evil organization that put out the $5M bounty to get a hold of the beast.

I did not want to introduce Joe's nemesis role as a team player but a rogue with his own axe to grind based upon his own personal vendetta! Remember when he was on Gabe's team he was itching to go totally rogue!!! Boy does wouldn't he believe he had the appropriate motive although we know he is totally misguided!

We have. It's from episode 404 when they talk about the possibility of Cat being pregnant.

So just an idea or pure speculation on my part...
But I've been wondering about Vincent's recent change in personality in 407 and 408, where he's gone rogue and somewhat Condor-like and even killed (& revived) that security guard. As I've speculated in some of the episode threads, I'm wondering if something is behind this character change in Vincent.
My idea or theory is that Hill's multiple injections of faux adrenaline (in 406) might have caused this change in V's behavior. If this turns out to be true, I also wonder if we may see a change in his beast side as a result as well.
(Those of you who may know some secret spoilers about this, via Pippin's Sensitive Spoiler Vault, please keep it to yourself or in that section only please.)
