I felt that the issue with the entire Alex arch was that they kept changing their mind about Vincent's reasons for choosing Alex; was it because he saw the possibility of a normal life with her or was it because he always does the right thing....I wish it had been clear from day one that it was the latter; that isn't evident until Tough Love. Too little too late?? It would have been completely insensitive of Vincent, and he isn't an insensitive man, to say to Alex: I understand that after all these years you haven't gotten over me; you're still in love with me and want to consider a future, but, I'm so sorry, I've already moved on...with my "handler". Hence, I find the second option way more acceptable. What I like about this episode is that besides allowing us to see Catherine face and accept her own feelings, it raises another question, would Cat give it all up for Vincent? This question comes up again in Season 1 and repeatedly in Season 2, and it is a very diffiucult question for her to answer, despite her deep love for him. Anyways, just a few thoughts that come to mind....bottom line, I am a giant VinCat fan, and I am always happy to say adiĆ³s to the likes of Alex, Tory and Gabe....farewell, amigos!

Alex shows her feelings and intention to Vincent in a very clear way (see the towel scene) and this is important because we have to remember that V. is first of all a man (a kind respectful good looking man... but a man) and they usually don't understand light signal. I felt sorry for Cat because I know how hard is to finally explaine your feelings to a man when you are not a self confident person and when you receive a no you feel yourself a fool. Vincent is confused but hearing Cat's word can only open his mind. He hasn't got s life or, better, he dislike the life he has but was very harsh of him to ask Cat if she was ok with puts her entire life behind her shoulder for him, a man that doesn't explain his feelings for her. I don't understand why the director chose to cut the scene where alex asks vincent about cat and puts on light what is evident to all of us but not to our belowed couple... so she is not so stupid and blind as is clear that she acts with the porpouse to fight for her love

LOL @locaxbatb, I'm also always happy to say goodbye to all those! I agree that it was not clear from the beginnng that Vincent followed Alex, because he's the type of guy who "does the right thing"...and honestly it's a bit far fetched...but since we're talking about Vincent, I tend to accept that reason and believe it...or kind of. He should just have been "nicer" when Cat confessed her feelings...and Alex should definitely not have been that pushy, yikes at the towel scene!!!!!

Great episode lol! Yes I know I am alone here. Great cause cat finally comes to fully realise her feelings and grows so much as an individual and great cause we can see Vincents weaknesses. He is not perfect and he is confused for a number of reasons... Again read TV republics review. She mirrors my thoughts. But great and emotionallt rich episode wish we get some of these in s3 You are not alone Anapi. I think this is my favorite episode of the Alex arc. I loved the Vincat dynamic. I loved the push and pull between them. And most importantly, I liked how Alex fully understood that Catherine was an important person in Vincent's life and the competition was stiff.
