Ok so it seems to be confirmed by our #KingBeastie (Austin ) right? Batb will be a summer show! Ok I'll definitely take it instead of NO show at all, it will be hard the wait but... if it would mean the possibility of a S4 and S5 and more.... I'll be good with the LONG wait

ithink they are still under contract so they have to wait but that would not stop them doing other thigns in the meantime may not be such a bad thing for them. though yeah they wouldnt be able to audition for major projects htye would not be paid less for it being summer but of course they would be paid per episode so 13 episodes i lower pay than 22 Well as much as I want BATB to stay alive, I don't want it to be a career breaker or slower for the cast. And I think it would be if they cannot take on major projects. Well, e.g. I know that some Game of Thrones actors have been doing other stuff in between, just read somewhere that Emilia Clarke will be on the next Terminator. So if they are only shooting half a year, there is still time to do smaller projects.

People I've just one question.... I can't understand HOW Cw will be able to decide the renewal or cancellation (I've even difficulty to write the word) for BATB if S3 will not be gone on air yet and how the good or bad ratings can influence this decision that must be taken by may for the UpFronts tops?

They will not have to decide by May now, in fact they will almost have another year now to decide. If BATB gets renewed for summer 2016 they could start shooting as late as in spring 2016. edit: But I think they would want to tell the cast earlier, of the aformentioned reasons(giving them the chance to audition for other projects)

I will NEVER last until summer! Severe Hiatus Syndrome symptoms are severe enough NOW. Sigh.
And yes, I believe now that the CW when asked at the upfronts will say that renewal for BATB will be based on how it does for summer. We will REALLY have to get Beasties motivated! We HAVE to push Season 2 DVD sales and viewing prior to BATB airing this summer and SOMEHOW get more viewers --or at the very least, make sure all prior BATB-lovers are watching, tweeting, and otherwise showing the BATB love and devotion that the show deserves.
My only question is when and how will we begin to organize some kind of campaign for a season 4? I still think the CW needs reminders that BATB fans most likely resemble myself--someone utterly completely devoted to the show to the point of delirium when deprived from it for too long! They need to know we are still out there, regardless of how much time it has been since the show last aired. I take comfort from Downton Abbey--they get only about 8 episodes a year, yet viewership has steadily increased, and people are still fanatically devoted to it, no matter how many characters have left the show. For us, however, we ended up being a much-divided fandom because of Season 2, and we REALLY need to show the CW that we are all back and onboard, now that the ridiculous third-party triangles are gone and VinCat seems together for good.

WHEN Cw will must reveal if BATB will be renewed or not?

I would speculate by January next year?

this is incredibly encouraging!!! stream on netflix and keep promoting. i will keep doing that... Exactly, have to retain our upbeat attitude and keep that optimism going. Summer? really? I felt like summer was just over yesterday...I know Reyna, my attitude is not so upbeat rightnow, close to one year of wait? I hate CW more now, this is really frustrating. When BATB comes back with S3 epi1 that is gonna be crucial ratings wise. I really hope Canada and US will show BATB on the same day at the same time, or have CW show it first in the US.. the day ahead & streaming being available online rightaway after its shown was really affecting the US rating IMO. Pls dont get this as hate to Canadian viewers, this comment is just about ratings.

I think there continuously are more beasties out there, at least internationally what I get from Twitter. And I also think it is a good thing that people watching Netflix will have enough time to catch up till season 3. We have to make sure every beastie having Netflix let BATB play constantly even if not watching. ;)And of course making social media noise! I cannot understand how a real beastie can stop viewing even if he is disappointed with some story lines, especially considering how s2 ended.

Austin's tweet is exactly what I was talking about!
The cast can do other projects as long as it doesn't conflict with their shooting schedule. I recall KK did several other projects during her time on Smallville. To be fair to the cast, I'd like to see the CW announce an S4 pick up as soon as possible, either during S3 or shortly after it's done airing, perhaps in conjunction with a Fall 2015 announcement.
Game of Thrones does just fine with 10 episodes per season. Breaking Bad started out very slowly ratings wise, but sky rocketed in its last season. So I think there's still hope that BATB can catch on. The main things is for S3 to be great in terms of writing and story. If S3 misses the mark, it will be hard for beasties to hype the series to new comers.

With the very long wait and the way the Newtwork not so caring approach of our beloved show, even probably real/ loyal Beasties gets fed up with them treating the show and fans like this, like getting the "leftovers" dont get me wrong I'm glad we finally have the S3 summer plan of premiere. So, it's really more like you win some (new fans) & lose some (old fans). I'm here til the end to fight.
