JT hurt especially because of Gabe just tears me apart. Out of anyone of the fab4 JT is the one this shouldn’t have happened to. He is such a good friend.

I like the way you SEE the gem seeming to almost glow while it holds Vincent and Alistair hostage.
And it is interesting the way Catherine almost "sees" in her mind's eye what most likely happened to Alistair. I would LOVE to know what was actually in the journal.
(And KK does a GREAT job in that Alistair death scene, by the by. Her crying and agony are totally consuming and believable.)

Personally I think the Gabe & Vincent beast on beast fight in S1x22 was a lot better than this beast fight

As sad it was to see Cat &Tess cry over JT “not making it” we all knew that he was gonna survive. Beasties would’ve revolt if he didnt

That's the thing that I find interesting about the scene when Cat comes for Vincent in the dungeon. He SHOULD be beasting out or at least really mad, even with the gem there. BUT he just can't stay mad at Cat. He loves her too much. I really feel she IS Vincent's gem. I think Cat really has more control over the beast then we realize.
That is one of the things that I miss from the original Koslow BATB series. In that series, Vincent could "feel" Cat's emotions. They literally had a psychic bond which appeared to help Vincent control his dark side (or at least gave him a reason to fight it). I would love if Season 3 shows that VinCat living together DOES produce more abilities/some sort of link. Which would be another reason that scientists or others would want to capture Vincent --to see how Cat and their epic love really DOES make him different from other beasts.

When Vincent leaves JT's place we didn't know if he has or not agreed with Cat what was next, this was a good move of the writers!

I love how Cat just tells Gabe off and that they have beat him. Which he can't handle, so goes after Cat. Because she has "betrayed" him. And how Cat is able to save herself. Again, I LOVE that it takes Catherine AND Vincent together to defeat Gabe.

I'm not sure how I feel about these agency dudes. They talk about saving lives but very coldly tell Vincent that he should have cold-bloodedly killed Gabe earlier as he had initially promised. He says that he needs them to "figure out what we're up against." Umm, hello. But if you have been the ones to follow VinCat around and watch them to see if they are allies, wouldn't you have more information than them?

LOVE the park bench scene. For SO many reasons. First, it is a nod to the original BATB series Halloween episode "Masques." Which, by the by, was written by none other than THE George R.R. Martin, who got his start writing television episodes for the original Beauty and the Beast! And it was such an instrumental moment of Beast and Beauty's worlds colliding. And so NY as well. In both series, it is kind of that hopeful for the future moment where both couples know that they are really in love and want to be together. So I LOVE that.
But I also love the statue in the corner as the camera pulls back. It is a wild boar, a beast itself, cautiously standing still while looking back at whatever is hunting it. Said boar knows it will always be hunted and that the hunters are closing in. Gives that ominous feel to Vincent's situation and what Bob said multiple times this season: someone will always be hunting Vincent. Meaning that whoever stands with him will also face being hunted.
So the park bench scene gives both loving resolution but menacing potential future vibes. LOVE this!

I also like that they don't tell you here about whether or not VinCat will take the agents up on helping them. Cat just wants a small window of time to be their "normal" and just be happy together, not worrying about the future. Again, I like the pullback camera effect that makes it clear that Cat won't have long to NOT worry about the future. That just wouldn't be VinCat's destiny. They don't get time to do normal. The epic love must be continually challenged. After all, this is a fairy tale. Have to have that epic quest and all that.
