And I admit that I hope the DVD has additional footage to that rooftop scene!

And I liked that they showed that Gabe is as much a beast as a human being in this episode as well! And the way they filmed it where he is remembering the power high of his previous beast-state. You just know what is coming down the road.

The last scenes are my favorites in this episode. The roof one is for me one of the hottest of this season. And Gabe losing completely his mind is so well performed and it is key because introduce the idea of Gabe going back to be a beast . I also wish we have MORE SEASONS I love this show and all actors I think they are all amazing and deserve more success!

Final thoughts (for now--I need to get out of this office building):
I love how they use this episode to set up for Season 3 how it will be between Cat and Heather moving forward. Obviously, the sisters can become close again, and Heather is willing to accept Cat's decision for her own happiness (unlike Tess for so much of this season). Heather will no longer be just the annoying little sister. She has matured and is understanding and happy for her sister, even though the situation is a complete mess at that time. And no matter what, Cat will need that kind of support, because Bob Reynolds IS most likely right that Vincent will always be hunted by someone. And Heather has actually SEEN how much Vincent risks to save her and Cat. Really allows Heather to see the up-close-and-personal version of what Cat and Vincent have to do on a case.
And Tess proves that she is equally supporting in this episode. She never blames Cat for losing her badge, albeit temporarily. And she shows up to be back-up for Cat, even though it is risking her life and risking further trouble since she still does not have her badge back at that point in the episode.
The only thing missing from this episode was JT. However, there wasn't any real need for him here. It is nice to see Vincent and Cat being supportive and working together without needing JT as a go-between. JT really kind of lost it in 217 due to Vincent having to leave, so it is probably good that he missed this particular exchange with Sheckman's brother. Less for the poor guy to worry about! (Although, JT would SO have enjoyed knowing right away about Gabe being jailed, even if temporary.)

And just an observation here --KK's hair was really lovely in this episode. It was curled so beautifully at the end, and it falls across her face in such a lovely way. Her hair is most beautiful at this length, and I am sad that they have cut her hair for Season 3. And while I miss Season 1 Jay ruffled hair look, his haircut really served to emphasize the military-like precision of his Season 2 character. I mean, it was cut short for a reason. (But I would probably think Jay was sexy even with a bald head!) Jay could be sexy looking with a paper bag on his head lol

And Heather knowing that little something about Cat--their first cat Milo! So you know that they have been close, and Cat so wants her sister back and is tired of shutting her out. Yet you feel so sorry for Cat who actually TRIES to tell the truth about Vincent and beasts for once, and Heather can't even comprehend this and walks out on Cat. And you will notice that Cat DOES NOT mention the fact that THEIR OWN MOTHER is the one that made Vincent a beast! You wonder how Heather handles finding out all of this--because I still wonder if Cat has let her know that. She would probably wish to shelter Heather from this knowledge given that Cat has felt so bad for so long over the actions of BOTH her biological parents. That's one of the things that bother me about this episode & Heather. Cat finally tells the truth and HeathER blows it off. I get why Heather does that I mean Cat has been very secretive and not all there in almost 2 years, but Heather didn't even stop to think that it could be true. Heather always manages to make it about her and the things people are hiding from her. And when someone does finally tell her the truth she runs away from it. Honestly I feel like as much as Heather thinks she's an adult and has things under control, she's still very much s spoiled little child

Typical garbage. Beauty - due her fickle nature - leads on a former beast no longer one trying to reform himself, bangs her former boyfriend while with him, and causes him to revert back to being a beast, and eventually kills him and it's the beast who's the bad guy.

Just to clarify, Catherine didn't lead 'former beast' on, 'banged' her lover in ep 15 not 19 and killed the 'real' beast in the finale. Just clarifying since this is the 2x19 rewatch thread

Thanks dears for the lovely reviews and memories too its one of my favorite thing now in Tuesday to read the watch thread , its sad you just have 3 eps left yeah definitely one of my favorite episode maybe in the two season not just the second one i will not say much here because you covered it all , i will just comment on some of my favorite scenes or little details : two of the funniest scenes of this season are in this episode ? 1- when Cat finally spell everything out to Heather ? that was hilarious she spoke too fast without even taken her breath as if she was afraid if she did she won't be able to go ahead with it , and when she finished and got the breath she was holding out , and the relieve on her face said ( wow finally i got everything out , how a relieve ) wow bravo KK 2- try not to overreact ! (rofl)yeah definitely one of my favorite funny scene it also gives a hint about how Vincent /Heather interaction would be in S3 ( can't wait for it ) - the little romantic details the mention of the ahem sleeping together part and Cat said ( i am in love with the fugitive ) that was adorable and music to my ear because vincat not usually the type of couple who exchange the ( L ) word a lot and its good in general but still its nice to hear it from time to time specially in this ep to clean our ears after we heard her said ( i loved you) to Gabe in the previous episode which by the way i am ok with it now unlike when i first watch it , because of your good analyze to it and because of what she told him in ep21 ? that she went to that date with him with open heart remembering the man who wanted to save people ( not romantically) but hoping to find that man again ! yes ( not romantically ) is the key word here ! because its obvious that we love all the good people in our life ! but to be romantically, passion in love with ? that suppose to be for one person only and its obvious too that person was never Gabe ! the rooftop scene and no one is watching ! wow what can i say ? one of the hottest scene on TV ever ?! :flirty:and with full clothes too ? yeah that is big and not every TV couple could accomplish it and speaking of Gabe cadeau to SR for his amazing performance in the last scene he was brilliant to deliver the shock when the hard truth finally hit him ? that it was always him not the beastly DNA , he is a real beast inside with or without the DNA ! meaning Gabe didn't try to device Cat / Vincent or any one but he simply tried to device himself ! and that makes him the worst kind of evil person ! because the baddie who knows he is one is simple , clear and easy to deal with ! -- but the one who thinks he does all his sins for the greatest good ? that he sees and knows what other people can't see ? that he always right but no one really understand or appreciate him and his efforts to protect everyone ?! yeah that is the worst kind and the hardest to deal with ! --- you know as much as i hate Gabe's character and the damage it coasted for two season -- as much as i love SR brilliant performance as the bad guy , again Bravo SR

More final words for this episode.
I have to say, by this time in the season, having to watch Gabe on my screen was a real waste of space in my BATB universe. However, this episode was necessary to remind us all of just how wickedly evil Gabe had been in Season 1. And how he had repeatedly made decisions to murder and hurt others when he really didn't have to. He could have found other ways, but he really will stoop that low to have others do his dirty work for him (like Tyler) but then end up doing the worst possible things himself, namely murdering others who happen to wander across his path that WERE TRYING TO DO THE RIGHT THING. Both the witness and Shenkman's brother had come forward with truthful information regarding Gabe. And Gabe chooses to murder them. Since the witness had hidden for so long before coming forward, at a time when his coming forward would have been most suspicious, Gabe certainly didn't have to murder the witness. It is unlikely that enough evidence would have been around to get a conviction against Gabe. I mean, Cat had every reason in the world for wanting to get the man ahead of the Task Force off the case. So Gabe murdering the witness just makes him look so much more guilty then simply going to trial would have done. But that is Gabe. Murder is actually the easy way out for him. This episode just leaves you with no question that Gabe is wicked to the core, but still so self-centered that he actually thinks he can talk himself into being the "right guy."
And I have to just add, the phrase Vincent utters to Heather pleading with her NOT to freak out is just so symbolic of the BATB fanverse. As fans, we do tend to freak out over the portrayal of our favorite characters. Like Heather, we screamed over much of Season 2. Still think it all ended well, and that is what I choose to take away from Season 2. However, in the moments, I was a lot like Heather and freaked out!
I do like that Vincent chose to be so understanding and sweet with Heather. He never panics over Heather having found them, particularly at the point in their investigation where they didn't need any further distractions. He repeatedly remains calm and urges Catherine to see Heather and talk with her, even to tell her the truth. Vincent shows his trust in Catherine's judgment AND in her sister to ultimately see that Vincent and Catherine should be together. And Vincent is so apologetic in having to beast out to save Heather! And Heather finally realizing that Vincent had saved her as well as her sister. I just loved the way the dynamic was presented between Heather and Catherine and Vincent in this episode. Really makes me look forward to scenes between the three of them in Season 3.
