I really don't want to get involved. However I read your comments. Please go back to discuss ratings before we have a war who is right about the perfect lead woman and who isn't. None of you will get to agreement because you guys don't like each others opinion but your own. Simple as that. You can continue quoting each other saying how much one is wrong and how the other isn't, liking comments, etc. But everything will always be the same. One doesn't like the show, the others love it. My advice stop paying attention to person that post the same thing over and over again. Post like that just seek attention and you are giving all your attention. You can continue quoting and getting mad at the same posts but the only thing that will do is bringing attention to the post that you hate so much. Dear Dan, you claimed a while ago to be the only one who advocates women's rights on this forum, but believe me, as a woman, I find some of your opinions offensive to women. Send me the offensive posts against women via PM, I will review them and if they are offensive, they will be removed. I received one reported post in like 4 months that was reported like 2 weeks later after it was posted where everyone decided it was best to quote the post and reply to the person instead of reporting it. Post was removed including every single other post by the other members that decided to quote the person.

I'm failed to see how does some fan fiction selling novel(s) has something to do with enchanced batb chances for renewal. Let's say the ratings will miraculously bigger, it still has to do with whether the actors want to do another season or not to which I personally think KK might Don wanna do. i dont think the novel have any effect either. in most cw shows actors are bound by contract for 5 years at least if not six. maybe this is not the case for batb but maybe it is i dont think our ratings will increase. if we get saved is because other shows are not doing as well and how many cbs shows are or are not doing well and how many new shows are ordered. usually in the past few years they cancel four a year Not just CW shows, standard for TV series is 5-7 years for the main cast and I haven't found anything stating KK signed for less. Now KK said that she turned the part down three times, so maybe the producers were so desperate to have her play Catherine that they convinced the studio and network to allow them to hire her even though she would only sign for three seasons but that doesn't seem very likely. And if actors got to decide whether to continue working on a show based on what they wanted rather than the contracts they had signed, I imagine Kreuk would have fled Smallville after the 5th or 6th season.

Ok checked and yes that slot is free for sure well unless there is sth else they haven't announced yet which I doubt. So march it will be The could choose to put Whose Line Is It on in March like they did this year or even start it up again in Feb. After January 30th, the Friday 8pm slot would be open because Masters of Illusion was only announced for 4 episodes when it returns January 9th. Maybe BATB could start the first week in Feb. although Walmart is showing a ship date of March 14 for the Season 2 DVD so if that is accurate, maybe March 20 could be its premiere date. If they don't air Whose Line until summer then after March 13 there would be 3 open slots, assuming the 100 runs straight through when it returns Jan. 21 so its season would finish on March 11 and Hart of Dixie would finish on March 13. Wonder what they'll do with Reign if its ratings don't improve or it continues to sink. Right now it seems the most likely candidate to move to one of the Friday slots in March unless they give it the BatB treatment and pull til summer

That's awesome but so far away! It's weird. I didn't think that they would release it that close to a premier date if that's the date. I've always thought, my gut that BATB would come back in March sometime I just figured that the box set would've been released sooner than that like February or late January

Season 1 DVD was released Oct. 1 and Season 2 premiered October 7. I suppose if the show does premiere around March 20 and the DVD is released March 14, they could put stickers promoting the season 3 premiere date on the packaging. Might be all the "promotion" the show gets for the year. Brad Kern said last year his mandate from the network was to expand and broaden the show's appeal so the storyline was what it was and the studio/network still invested in sending them to Comic-con and NY comic con, they hired the social media person, did the pre-premiere cast interviews, KK did the Showcase, Global interviews, etc. Now that they've given up on trying to expand the audience, will be interesting to see if they invest in any kind of promotion for the show. Assuming they return in March, Wondercon in Anaheim isn't until April so that wouldn't even help publicize the show even if they went to the convention.

Right. I think this season's WLIA finishes end of November. They renewed it back in July for another 24 episodes for 2015 so if they did what they did this year, it could fill the Friday 8pm slot, but that slot will be vacant starting in Feb. Maybe they could split Beauty's season up in two, run 6 - 7 episodes from Feb to mid March, premiere iZombie, Messengers and WLIA mid-March when Dixie and The 100 finish and then bring Beauty back in June again.

So Beauty and the Beast is the only CW show at this point that is halfway through shooting its third season but still has no air date set, correct? How odd is that.

I cant take another mid season hiatus of BATB, especially after how long this hiatus has been. If it comes back in March if we are lucky, that will be almost 9 months of no #BATB. I really hope they run straight through. None of this air a few episodes and we will come back a few months later. Honestly idk how I am surviving this hiatus as it is!
And does anyone actually know for sure if Izombie & the Messengers have definite premier dates?

no dates set yet but to give them a shot i would think they would want to give them prime timeslots and maybe move reign to say fridays.. we haven't even got a trailer for izombie yet, they have promoted the messengers a bit more

A part the fact that I don't know too HOW I could ever survive to ANOTHER hiatus.... furthermore it would only serve to stress out the viewers still loyal... some of them could be discouraged and give up on the show... it could be counter-productive IMO I really hope that whatever will be the air date for S3 we at least can see the whole season straight through

They will not put izombie or Messengers on a Friday. They would never start new shows on that date, since that has been where CW shows often get sent to die. So either Reign gets moved to Fridays, or the CW actually decides to air BATB on Fridays. Given our loyal fanbase, the CW would figure that BATB fans would follow the show anywhere and anytime.
Still, that is what bothers me is that the 2 above shows will have scheduling priority as they are new shows. If BATB is going to air by March, there will have to be some kind of announcement by January, I would think.
I am glad that they are doing the novels. Everything counts towards profitability. "Nashville" is still on the air due in large part to the amount of money made on the music released from the series. While novels aren't anything like music, it still shows a fanbase and the potential profitability of the show. Same with the PCA's. Every bit of exposure increases the potential for increased curiosity about the show. I know that I myself have actually chosen to see shows that have that really loyal fan following because fans are usually that loyal for a reason --the show is novel or has some fantasy or supernatural or romantic reason that fans can't stay away from it once they see it.
BATB has previously been profitable overseas. Problem is, many fans from other countries have actually complained about not knowing when Season 2 was going to air in their country, and ratings seemed to be down. So we really need Season 3 to air sooner rather than later. If American ratings hold steady (or if we are blessed, even increase), then there will be an assumption that overseas ratings most likely would do equally well since there are definitely more BATB viewers outside the US than within its borders.
Frankly, I'm just glad for anything BATB-related at this point. I do think that if the projected release date for the Season 2 DVD is in March, then BATB would be expected to come back on air at that time. Notice that for many shows, the DVD is timed to be released at or near the new season debute. That way, they can air commercials for the DVD release during the season premiere.
They really need to air BATB in March or April at least in order to consider the ratings before determining possible renewal. After all, with so much time off the air, they have to see that the viewership is still there.
