I'm so glad I could watch this with the lot of you. Normally, live watching and commenting is not an option for me, so thank you all for this experience. And thx Nelly for organizing this! all! Thanks, Nelly! This has to be my favorite episode....at least it was the one that confirmed I was a permanent fan!

Again I loved the insights in your "reviews": Just a few of your points that struck me: 1) She lived for so long with so much guilt for what happened to her mother and believing that everyone around her blamed her, that, in many ways, she had come to feel, deep down inside, that she was unworthy of anyone's love. ... 2) Sabrina's dating rules: ... She is such an anti-feminist disguised as a feminist. Look at me, I am so successful and independent....but let me find you man who will be a good provider and take care of you...now that is one woman who gives women a bad name...but for a woman who thinks she is smart, she isn't very smart. Catherine easily tricks her into giving her a LONG peak at her client list. Love the shoe reference once again...it is really the shoes that tie all aspects of 3) the episode together. By the end of her time at the agency, Cat has almost figured it all out... now who's the smart one... 4) ... the way that in trying to convince him that it is a bad idea, she is, in fact, trying to convince herself that it is a bad idea. ... 5) What I most love about this episode is the natural and comfortable intimacy between then....it is in every scene they share. 1) This self-doubt is way down deep in Catherine. She is good defending against it. But we know who can heal it. 2) I totally missed this "anti-feminist" insight. 3) Who's smart? No one is as smart as Catherine when she starts putting things together. 4) And that means: she is really good at convincing herself by convincing others. They are often no match for her. 5) The intimacy builds without them ever touching each other. As others have observed here, we begin to be desperate for them to "touch" each other but we will go through too much touching interruptus.

I came too late also this week... I lost again the "watch together episode" I had friends for dinner so I couldn't be here I'm so sorry this is one of my fav episode of S1 the one that made me struggling and dreaming for the long Christmas S1 hiatus... was so hard for me because this ep was so good and we were so close to have our VinCat finally together but they didn't kiss yet... and then the shocking car accident They left us with so much to think and wanting. I LOVE IT

To all my beastie friends, why do we only have a like button to click....I need a love button !!! I have so enjoyed reading through these 12 pages so far and sharing this experience with you. I am among the ones whowere reading everything on this forum from when it started, but afraid to join in....so I missed out on commenting on any of Season 1's episodes. During Season 2, I have been reviewing all the episodes, but it has been more reactive than contemplative...so I can't tell you how much I am LOVING the experience this time around. Thanks to Nelly for getting this going, and thanks to all who are participating and making this extra special and oh so much fun.
Sorry for the much too long reviews.....I'll give you a break and post the rest later....if you're up to it.
XO, amigos!

I too am never able to join in at the rewatch time but I still like to comment even if it os long after. This ia the first episode they were really open about their feelings for one another - V "I can be Vincent Zalanski forever..." Catherine "you're the real thing.." Making it obvious to each other how they felt. Part of the destiny thing comes into play when C can sense his presence at the wedding reception. And we knew for sure then that was it! Just a matter of time before the pull of destiny for these two magnets became so strong that they could resist it no longer. Also this is the first time they really TOUCHED each other in an intimate way. Other than the face touching of course. They held each other close, expressing with their bodies and their eyes what they truly felt. That beautiful song just set the mood "Wherever you will go," and of course I am always so overcome with emotion with that scene that I get the goosebumps, quickly followed by tears. I was also only an observer on this forum totally ablivious to spoilers so when the finale happened I was like WHAAAT! and I went into depression for weeks LOL IMO this has got to be one of the best episodes of season 1&2 and a real turning point in the series

Last night I put my eldest daughter to sleep, I stayed with her in her bed, read some stories with her and then... it was 11 pm!!!!! I fell asleep!!!! I woke up and was like this: :overactionalert:And of course my hubby was like "Mmmm... what, not bit deal...". I missed it!!!! So I will watch it tomorrow (cause today became kind of late by the time both fell asleep).
Honestly, being a beastie and mother of two is exhausting!!

Awww…. here comes the necklace scene…. I think my heart missed a beat when Vincent looked at Catherine…. You know it was KK's idea to do this necklace thing right?? I LOVE It even more because of this! And she said she's not a romantic person!

Being in any relationship is a risk... accepting that there are no guarantees... who knows what the future brings? and going for it anyway... she is so right... so so right... I love it! this is the beauty of this show... it has such wonderful messages!!! not so easy to find them in many shows! I am Heather… during Cat's speech… every time i watched the speech scene

i've seen this god knows how many times but it just hit me during the after dance scene when VinCat were at the gazebo, they practically breathed out cold air whenever they spoke! And KK's nose was red… gosh i wonder how cold it was, and she had to dressed up and without any coat…

And she said she's not a romantic person! (Kristin) I think certainly she is; she means something more limited. Probably can't stand contrived, tear-jerker stories. Hated The Notebook, loved Amalie. Both "romantic" stories.
