The 100's metered market rating last night was 1.9. Arrow's premiere in 2012 was 3.0 (translated to 1.3 in 18-49 demo), Beauty's was a 2.4 ( translated to 1.2) The 100 seems like it would skew younger than either Arrow or Beauty so it will be interesting to see what percent of that 1.9 ends up being in the 18-49 demo. Last year, 90210 still managed to retain its .3 18-49 rating for an episode with only 490,000 viewers while Beauty got a .2 with nearly 800,000 viewers. it is like u are speaking another language, i need private lessons in ratings lol ... i really dont understand them! what matters for the demo, the younger age groups or the older ones? sorry i am really ratings illiterate Networks want the younger viewers, those in the 18-49 age range because that is what the advertisers want and pay more money for. The CW's target demo is even younger 18-34 age range and gender specific -- female, although Pedowitz, who became the network's president a few years ago, says he wants to broaden their audience so that is why he is greenlighting more of the sci-fi action stuff and less of the Gossip Girl type shows. The Nielsen's give the network and advertisers a much more specific breakdown of the viewing audience than what is released to the the public. What the public gets are the percentage of households with TVs tuned to a program, the percentage of viewers watching the program in the 18-49 age range, and the percentage of TVs in use at the time that were tuned to the program. So Beauty's last episode had .5 percent of the households watching its Spring Finale which was approximately 800,000 viewers, of those 800,000 viewers only .2 were in the 18-49 age range and only 1% of the TVs in use at the time were tuned to the show, could actually be a little less or a little more since the numbers are rounded up or down. Recipe for Disaster got a .37 rounded up to a .4 while ALN got a .23 rounded down to a .2, in the 18-49 age range.

OK so it did do better than arrow and got a 0.9 and 2.60 viewers more or less ... people seem to like it and so do reviewers. i doubt it will go down by a lot in the next three weeks .. and i say three weeks because any final decisions will be made by then i am sure... so the big question now is with three new pilots (correct me if not three, but i am pretty sure i heard there would be three in the fall), 5 confirmed new shows, HOD to be renewed due to syndication and assuming the 100 also gets renewed which very very very likely it will, are there any slots left? cause I don't see there being any at all.. i feel like i d better know what is happening rather than being hopeful for no reason
