LOL, Tiffany Vogt still optimistic… I consider EW to be the more reliable source, it seems true that they have insider information. They were among the very few (or the only ones?) that always had BATB as "likely to be renewed” last year. I think we don’t have to worry about time slots anymore. I can’t imagine the CW will give a show with a 0.3 a full season order. I think at this point the best we can hope for are 7-11 more episodes, like Nikita, airing through winter hiatus, to give the show a proper ending and reward the passionate fanbase. The possibility is there, it’s something the CW would do and has done before…

I really think they'll give the show a new season with about 6 to 13 episodes to close the story because CW has this commitment with its shows. In the middle of all their wrong doings, I think it's kind of endearing that they have this conscience. It doesn't erase the damage they did, but it's a consolation prize. But I don't think we should wait for anything other than that. The story is already being more than condensed and it's losing coherency at each passing episode. So, I don't think even the show runners would want to prolong it much more.

sorry guys but dont really trust this woman and do the maths, there are no 3-4 slots available 3 new shows confirmed 5 old shows renewed 2 slots left in total!! HOD is renewed for sure due to syndication unless of course both star crossed and the 100 do amazingly well so essentially there is one slot or maybe there are 3 slots if they decide to give 3 shows half runs, like with Nikita or TCD of course that means that if BATB gets renewed, at most it will have 6-13 episodes and of course then that would be the final season unless it suddenly miraculously pulled a 0.7 or something

I have a question that probably has an obvious answer, but here it goes: Don't rates in ShowCase count?? Because what I recall about those is Austin saying that they were doing fine in Canada. Also, the fact that the show is being bought by other countries (Germany, UK, France, Mexico, hopefully in Spain S2 at some point too...) doesn't count either?

No, the only thing that interests the network is USA ratings. The show might go well aboard, but the advertisers that bring money to the show are in USA so they don't have any interest in international fans. The show going well in other countries is only a good thing because it's a possibility of selling, but not a decisive factor to renewal.

CBS actually owns the show - they wanted Beauty and the Beast
