After observing the direction that the writers went in for s2, it would be interesting to see how we feel s3 should progress as a show moving forward. It seems that the show is kinda of a mess when it comes to direction since it seems to be floundering and every week having another game changer. Its clear we probably all what Vincat back in their glory. So this question is asked with the assumption that the writers get it together and managed to put Vincat back together soundly by the end of s2. Just curious what other people thought. I love the show and think it has the potential to be good at a lot of different genres.

I would want to see a very romantic show, as S1 was, but I wouldn't like to see something close to OUAT. I think the beast mythology is good enough to keep an interesting plot to sustain the story while VinCat romance grows stronger. In this scenario, I think what fits better is the undercover thing trying to solve the puzzle of the beasts.
NEVER GEOMETRIC LOVE CHEAP PLOT DEVICES ANYMORE. EVER. IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. NOT EVEN IN UNDERCOVER SITUATIONS. DID I SAY NEVER?

As long as she-beast doesn't come out of her grave to show Vincent their beast-baby, Gabe gets epically dumped by Cat in a way that'll show that no way in hell she would be with him and I don't have to see any more love triangles involving VinCat, I'm good with anything they come up with. I can even endure an entire season of VinCat not being together as a couple, as long as their love is evident like in S1.

@vanillasky and @vincentchandler Amen to that ! yes as long as there are no more ridiculous love triangles or cheep plot device , and they understand and respect that the show is called BATB , then i am ok with any thing , although i prefer more romantic mixed with mythology , in a short words i want a fairy tale !
ok a stupid question what OUAT refers to ?

I voted for the third option: "Undercover/Spy (Vincat working together to solve mysteries r/t beasts science/mythology" IMO it's the most wide and intresting plot to work with

ok a stupid question what OUAT refers to ? OUAT refers to the T.V. show Once Upon A Time. It's definitely not a stupid question at all!! Sometimes people use shortened titles like that if the title of something is long. For example people might write : TTP for The Tomorrow People or they may write SPN for Supernatural. I get confused from time to time as to what people are referring to myself. That's the really nice thing about this board: people are really helpful and no one ever minds explaining things.

I would like to get a lot more back story; I always feel like there are so many blanks that need to be filled. Even this season, I was hoping there would be an episode dedicated to understanding what Reynolds and company had done to Vincent during those three months. I'd like to understand how Cat did not know her mom had been to Afghanistan....I guess I would like them to deal with all the plot holes they have left along the way. I know, way too much to ask for!

That would be ideal, but I don't see it happening. First, because Kern thoughtfully erased every single trace of S1 so I doubt he wants to even look at what was done back then. Until this day I don't understand why the man took the job. He obviously didn't like anything of the show. Second, because there's no time to fill these holes anymore. I think the gem will be buried and that's the end of it and they'll explain the ancient beasts in one episode, as they have been doing with a lot of things and that's it. Third, because it seems that the creative team really doesn't care about the small details that makes the story believable. It's like they're fixed on the bigger picture and forget that what counts are on simply looks, small phrases and thoughtful details.

They've made such a mess, I can't imagine where they would go next. They sped through (past) so many stories - what's left? Can they really return to the romance of S1? It seems like all they COULD do is have them work cases together. I thought they would delve into JT's back story, Vincent's family, and give Tess a story. Yeah, what about Vanessa and Bob? I also think they should have introduced more characters who DON'T know all about beasts. Maybe some other cops. None of them have any friends. When they DO introduce a new character, it's just for a couple of scenes. Weird.

I think/hope the writers have learnt their lesson. Since we 'll get Vincat soon and IF there is a S3, there is no many possibilities : Vincat as a couple, trying to adjust their life together, and Vincent always beeing a beast, struggling with it. Cat 'll stay a cop, so there will be many cases. In some tv shows, the 2 leaders when beeing together are doing well ! It requests some good ideas. Eh, Beauty and the Beast TV Show isn't a fairytale ! But in the S1, you could recognize the characters of the fairytale : Beauty (La Belle) a young woman strong, courageous, clever, good person and The Beast (the Prince) shy, ashamed of himself, feeling unworthy and condamned by a curse ; and we all love the S1 because it was this : Belle, at first a little afraid, taming her Beast all along. S2 could not be the same (as we've been told!) : it has good moments too but I understand very well why some of you didn't like it. S3 could be about the discovery of all the mythology thing and what I say above, and may be a little of eps where we could see Cat OR Vincent in danger and the other coming to his/her rescue....I love those moments where the two lovers are separated by the course of a case or whatever (and I don't mean amnesia or any redhead or ADA involved Lol!) and when they' re reunited, love shows ! We also need an answer on how Vincent pays the bills ? (I hope you'll understand me ! English is not my native language !)

Your Elglish is excellent and all your ideas are very clear. It seems that our idea of what is ideal hasn't quite meshed with the showrunners views this season. If we get a very unlikely Season 3, I hope we will all see more of what we want to see. And I agree with everyone who has stated that the "love" triangles were the worst mistake.

There are so many unanswered questions to fullfill almost 10 seasons without useless wasting time triangles! I think you can teach them how write a story! I love your fanfics and your letters! Thank you Windflwr! I confess: I've read all hundreds fanfics, the love, romance, hurt, death and whatever ones but no one disapponted me like this S2. Still hoping to watch episodes improve; in S2 so far I've only really loved EP04 HOTHEAD!

I have to agree with the writer who said we need to get more back story. There are a lot of unanswered questions lurking in the background. And by the way, what happened to Vincent's tongue this season? It's been conspicuously absent, so it would be nice to have it back in season 3. Also, we've just caught a glimpse of humour in the show - Jay has a good sense of timing, so that ought to be exploited. And finally, we need to meet Vincent's Mum - she should be a real character, not an apron-wearing Mum, but one who says things like "always take pills with alcohol - they work faster that way".
