I've decided to start watching season 1 again which I think will make it about my fourth time seince getting the box set but here in the UK they still haven't showed the last six episodes yet and don't know when they will but I watched it online anyway so decided to start watching season 1 again and remember our loving, caring, sweet Vincent that yes he became again by the end of season 2 but until we start getting picuters, clips of season 3 I'll settle for season 1. And those epsodes 'Heart of Darkness' and ' Partners In Crime' are two of my favourite episodes of season 1 loved the interaction between Vincent and Evan and wish they had killed Gabe off in season 1 and kept Evan I could at least stomach and even liked his interactions with Catherine but Gabe just no to much in each episode. Loved the conversation with Evan and Vincent on the tube again one of my favoutite scenes of all time and the tube ride with Vincent and Catherine everything right down to the music was spot on and love Vincent's comment was Catherine ask's how he always find's her ' Becuase I never stop looking' was just and still get's me even now.

Just finished watching 1x06 worth. I am on 3 different weekly rewatches of BATB. I can't help myself. Today I watch 1x06 ( my rewatch) and took notes. I'll watch episode again tomorrow and live tweet, I watched 2x05 (this forums rewatch) today and took notes and will be back tomorrow to discuss and then I'll watch tomorrow twitters rewatch episode 1x02 and live tweet that (as long as I don't get any ambulance calls during that time frame. And hopefully I just didn't jinx myself) and then finally I just finished watching a few days ago episodes 215-222. So in love w/ VinCat 3.0. Love those episodes n I love binge watching episodes 114-122

I am actually watching 201-205, the first part of 206 until I CAN'T anymore (will explain below), 211, 212, 215-222.
As to 206: okay, loved the Cat kickboxing practice scene where Vincent comes in and helps her fighting stance (and gets kicked in the face--after having just seen 202 again and in knowing what is coming, kind of enjoy watching him get kicked. He has it coming in spades for what happens through so much of this season.). I also love how HAPPY Vincent is that his missions are almost over AND that he is clearly planning, in that moment, on a life with Cat. He wants to take her to Cedar Woods and just spend time with her with a bottle of wine under the stars. And later, even knowing he still has to complete the last 2 missions, he is ALREADY packing his bag in anticipation for his trip with Cat. Vincent WANTS SO MUCH the life he had before. And he SEEMS so much better already. And then Curt Windsor and his men end up stealing said packed bag from the boathouse after Tori's kidnapping. That IS SO FREAKING SYMBOLIC! Curt Windsor (and his horrible daughter) steal all my VinCat hopes for an immediate happy future.
And just also goes to show, by the by, that Vincent and Catherine are "cursed," in my opinion, on any camping/into the woods vacation. After all, when they initially planned their first camping excursion into the woods in Season 1, THAT got cancelled due to Vincent's fugue states. THEN, Vincent goes with ALEX into the cabin in the woods where Catherine has to save them. Then the 206 woods trip gets cancelled due to Tori's influence that starts within this episode. So no more plans for trips into the woods. It just WON'T work out, and Beasties will get subjected to Vincent's worst relationship mistakes.
At any rate, from the time Tori is kidnapped, I find 206 just painful. We are supposed to see how, already, Tori's power starts over Vincent from the time he first touches her in the woods. You see him start to nuzzle her hair in that scene. (Sorry, have to say it, UGH PUKE GROSS STOP ICK.) And Vincent is harsh with Cat for showing up because Tori has zapped away his caring capacity. BUT we didn't know that then, the writers really don't do enough, in my opinion, to clue you in appropriately that Tori is the cause of all of this. Curt Windsor turns back into an almost decent person that IS WILLING to give up his empire to get his daughter back ONCE SHE IS NOT AROUND to infect him, and the moment Tori touches him on the table, he beasts back out. SO I GET the emphasis on the effect Tori can have on Beasts once I have seen other episodes.
At any rate, I now stop re-watching 206 from Tori's appearance onward, EVEN THOUGH there is still the ONE good moment of Vincent telling Tori how he is sane due to having someone in his life. Yes, like that 1 minute of the episode. NOT worth the rest of it, other than the kickboxing scene.
And I re-watched EVERY Season 2 episode to date through the TVGuide marathon and made it through 207-210. But I just don't want to re-watch those episodes again. Yeah, I know how others will question how I can re-watch Cat/Gabe and not Tori/Vincent, BUT at least with the episodes from 211 forward, you can ACTUALLY SEE how ready to be done with Tori that Vincent is and how much he wants back with Cat. And how he is regretting his actions. And wanting to make it up to Cat. And while others comment on how Cat appears to use Vincent at will, she really DOESN'T have a choice BUT to ask for his tracking abilities, AND they were all connected and working on the same cases. YES, Cat is insensitive a couple of times. But it is understandable, AND Cat comments later (albeit to others) about being sorry for asking so much of Vincent under the circumstances.
In summation, I actually LIKE episodes 211 forwards, even though Gabe/Cat pairing BECAUSE you could see where Cat couldn't really connect with Gabe when she got with him and was trying to find her way back to Vincent. And seeing that it was coming AND that both were able to value one another's contributions (other than 215, and that was just Cat in denial and trying harder to adopt Gabe-mode at the very time she inwardly had to know that the relationship was not the one she really wanted). The struggle for humanity from BOTH of them, etc.
At any rate, I'm re-watching Season 2, minus the Painful 5 (as I refer to them). Plan on doing a major Season 1 review next week (which just means I will go straight through the season minus the Painful 3 episodes of Season 1 which are the first 3 Alex episodes. I have watched Season 1 a gazillion times (this is actually not an exaggeration), so I am trying to give Season 2 its fair shake. Still feel that Season 2 lacked some of those really poignant and romantic Season 1 moments like AMP and Insatiable. And we were REALLY REALLY due some more of those kind of scenes, I feel, after so much of Season 2. Just saying.

In the Uk we are waiting for 3x13 Destined to air on Thursday. Once I have seen that on my big screen TV in glorious HD, I intend to re-watch the whole of Season 1, then the best bits of Season 2. There are bits of both seasons I don't like and I think I may have more of a problem with Season 1 Alex arc than Season 2 Tori as I think Vincent had real feelings for Alex whilst his relationship with Tori was kind of accidental and temporary. He also had no excuse for his wavering in Season 1 but in season 2, it's clear that he was effected by Tori in a way he could not control. In Season 3 Patient X, we saw him affected by Liam in a similar way until he got a hold of himself. I think it is fair to say that Vincent is now more in control of the beast within himself than he has ever been.
