There have been a number of comments about lack of promotion in various threads. It's your contention the show is purposely not being promoted in order to help guarantee its failure? Why, and for what purpose/reason? Are you saying this was a decision made even before Season 2 commenced? I am not sure who you are referring to when you say "it's YOUR contention...." , but i don't believe at all that things are done purposely to derail the show; however, I can state that I have noticed a lack of publicity compared to some other shows. Exactly Laura, and despite the lack of promotion, we have managed to hold our own. I am skeptical concerning the ratings for “Don’t Die on Me”, yet if the ratings do become higher than before, that would definitely work in our favor.

What frustrates me the most is not everyone has a nielsens box, so trending big on twitter should mean something. Shows with a big following sometimes loose their voice becuase the fans viewing just doesn't count. I have never met or talked to someone with one. Crossing fingers it didn't go down in nielsens, but we always make a big impact on twitter which is great.

And The CW capped off the evening with low-rated “Hart of Dixie” (#5: 1.1/ 2) and “Beauty and the Beast” (#5: 0.7/ 1).
We did exactly the same, HOD did pretty well - maybe 8pm slot is less competitive

Renewals and Cancellations Decisions and TV Numbers 101 [FAQ]Hey everybody. I have been very kindly invited to start contributing to this great site with some ratings analysis and predictions about renewals and cancellations for the broadcast networks. However, before I start doing that, I thought it would be useful to come up with some type of guide to those who are less acquainted with the way renewals and cancellation work as well as the ratings system in general. www.spoilertv.com/2013/10/renewals-and-cancellations-decisions.html
