The DVR numbers for episode 6 were the same -- 67% .2 increase. So the show has lost some 20 or so Nielsen viewers who used to watch it on DVR since the Reunion episode. So could be the result of the Gabriella scene in Reunion turning some viewers off from watching the following episodes, or some knowing Tori was showing up in episode 6 and choosing not to watch, or some 20 Nielsen viewers giving up on the show after watching the first 5 episodes of the new season. And yes according to an article I read, when your Nielsen rating is under 1, it only takes as little around 20 Nielsen viewers to move your rating up or down .1

Starting Monday, February 17 at 8:00-9:00, Star-Crossed will premiere and will be BATB's new lead-in. I'm sure it'll be a better lead-in than HoD as SC is a show about a romance too. Hopefully better ratings. Also BATB will be on hiatus after the March 10 episode and will return at an unannounced later date. The Tomorrow People will take BATB's place. Somehow I thought it would do better than on mondays. Keeping it on mondays, putting a new tvshow as a lead-in ... I don't know.... It's also suspicious, IMO, that they don't inform about the date of return after 10th march hiatus... Thanks for the article, anyway!

The bear says its no good news... what do u mean, what does the bear say? The bear which I'm assuming she's referring to is from zap2it has been saying that BATB is more likely to be cancelled than renewed. From this move that could very well be true. This looks like it could be Cult round 2. It was the lowest rated show at the time that was put on hiatus & wasn't given a return date. They ended up cancelling the show & showed the remaining episodes in the summer. I think they might be testing the waters for these new pilots before they make an announcement on when the show will return. They will probably then give the writers a heads up to wrap the show which we will then get a rushed thrown together reunion that will infuriate me because there will have been no build up & magic moments because they will have wasted all their time on this she beast nonsense! But of course this is all speculation! They could turn around tonight or tomorrow and announce a return date and say everything is just grand! Who knows with these people today!

I honestly think if it doesn't do better ratings-wise when it comes back in January it will be canceled.
We can't let that happen. I don't think winning the PCA will be enough (although it could help). We need more live viewers to tune in.
Vincat are on the outs this season and we can't have the show be canceled with them not having a good ending.

Personally, if they want to truly measure that, I would put a show that is certain to be renewed aka Arrow in that slot to truly measure what's what.

Honestly, unless CW gets the rights to Monday Night Football, everything they put there will go to crap ratings-wise, compared to where they are now.

The CW has a good thing going with Arrow in that time slot. They won't risk it. The problem with BATB this year was that they gave it such a weak lead-in. The premiere this year was way better than last year. I'm sure if BATB had a compatible lead-in that was getting at least a 1.0 ratings demo that BATB would be getting consistent 0.7 instead of 0.3 every week.

I just wish they would risk it cause I'm sure the Arrow audience would follow. I totally agree. A better lead-in would have significantly helped.

The ratings have been bad and no matter how we tried to promote the show, it still didn't pick up viewers. Hopefully, they give it a good ending.
