I think they need to amp up the Vincat feelings--not necessarily a kiss or some kind of declaration, but these two have sizzling chemistry, so use it! MORE looks, more touches, more stares, more longing, more yearning and sometimes a hug! There is so much these two could do without ever kissing that would burn up the screen!
And I'm not into rushing romance, but what they do need to dive into is Cat's mom, Vincent's past, Muirfield, etc. Catherine and Vincent need to drive the show, both as the main couple and individual main characters.
Saturn Returns was fun and Worth was beautiful and Evan is a charming, great guy, but they're going way too Gossip Girl, laying too thick into triangle aspects. I think this yearning between Vincat needs to be established and hit hard to lock in the driving force of the show. After all, Jay said they were bringing romance back to the CW with this show--instead of just hooking up/lust/instant gratification. (paraphrasing of course)
But in a show that isn't guaranteed more than one season, they need to ignite the screen with these two--their feelings, their longing, their chemistry and their deep connection due to their back stories!
We need to see Vincent's struggle and his danger, and maybe not have Cat so casually dropping by while flirting with Evan. Where's the danger?? Again, I really like Evan, but the show's not locking in their core, establishing, power-house relationships strongly enough right now.
And again, I don't mean kissing! I don't care when/if they kiss. For lessons in how to light up the screen without kissing, just watch Clark and Lana in Smallville seasons 1-3-or heck, most of the series-- or basically all of Mulder and Scully in The X-Files...even Castle and Beckett in Castle.
Basically, Vincat need to have those touchstone, soulmate moments that anchor the show. They've had some, but the show needs to be careful with the teen melodrama plots. These characters are adults!
Lock it in, BATB!! Cause people are gonna get bored with ankle-deep plots.

Totally agree Katie,.........well said. I want the next three episodes to leave me with dramatic backstory and major 'soulmates' moments (you are right, you don't need a kiss to achieve that!) that will leave me breathless before the hiatus. Is that too high an expectation? No...not if this show needs to continue toward season 2. The Winter Hiatus could be a killer if they don't leave us with a very passionate and jawdropping cliffhanger. They can do it. All I have to say is they have to give the fans more promos or BTS pics or teasers to keep us interested and excited.
I think all the characters need to be amped up.......we know Evan gets kidnapped.....that should prove a factor to complicate things for Cat.
The CW needs to do more promoting, definitely. Can't wait for the next episode, feels like FOREVER!!

I totally agree that the build-up to winter break could make or break this show. They have to go all out with this thing! They can't cruise along as if they were in the dead part of season 3 or something!

WOW....dear...AWESOME post...Totally agree with you...IF there is only gonna be one season OR even to get people asking for another season, the writers of the show NEED TO AMP UP things...especially between VinCat.... ....I just found this video of the BATB cast and even here Jay & Kristin emphasize that ROMANCE is the MAJOR element for a BATB story...so whats holding things back....I hope that from next episode on...things will pick up pace...fingers crossed...I'm sorry if the video has already been posted...just wanted to share with u all...

Funny, Kristin is wearing the same blouse (in this interview) that she is also wearing in this extended clip for "Out of Control" when the neighbor says to Catherine that she is "glowing". Jay also looks like he is wearing the same gray T-shirt. Maybe there will be some decent romance in this episode? www.youtube.com/watch?v=Br7hiav4SA4

One of the things that I loved about the Clark/Lana relationship was that they didn't need to be kissing/hugging or even talking to each other for me to know how DEEPLY they felt about each other. Those stares they shared had me weak in the knees...and I see similar chemistry between Cat/Vincent. You can already feel the tension when they are around each other, I hope that gets more play as the season goes on. I think we are starting to get more of Vincent's backstory coming to the forefront in these next couple of episodes and I'm hopeful that will provide us more incredible VinCat moments...angsty or otherwise.

I agree about the love interest. Its really starting to annoy me with the spoilers for upcoming episodes. Beauty and the Beast is suppose to be an epic love story. A story of a love that can overcome everything. Having Catherine not be able to be with Vincent because of the dangers around who Vincent is, its one thing. Having Catherine be hot for every guy that comes along is something else entirely. We have Evan and the firefighter and the shrink and now they are casting an district attorney. They need to stop adding people to this cast and focus on the main players. They have plenty of material to go off of. Her cases, cases they work together, Muirfield, the relationship, JT, Tess, her family. In fact they need to start cutting down on other people and just let us have the 4 or 5 characters we care about. Adding people like this is something shows do after a couple of seasons. We already don't get enough of Vincat!

I feel like they are rushing to have more complex plots to came them apart but this usually doesn't happen till after the love interest are a couple first and Vincat isn't there yet. I wonder if they ever will get there with Vincent ex and Catherine many guy interest. I love the show I would just some simple Vincat romantic moments

Yep, here's the link to that spoiler: www.spoilertv.com/2012/12/beauty-and-beast-casting-news-new-love.html#.UL4l0aLYU6c.twitterWhat we know is the writers are going to keep VinCat from being together for as long as possible...that's really not a surprise as it's been said over and over in a lot of interviews from the cast/writers. I'm fine with the love triangles...however, there comes a point where there is too much of that silliness. I expect that kind of stuff from shows like 90210 or TVD, but Cat/Vincent are supposedly in their early 30's and a more mature couple...I don't want to see all that teenage drama..there is enough shows out there that do that stuff. Besides, this show has an amazing cast already...do we really need to add more people to the mix? I'm loving the cast as it is...there are PLENTY of stories to tell and they can explore that further without adding more and more peeps to complicate things. Another thing that bugs me is I'm a VinCat shipper...and I love seeing them together on screen. With all these new cast members, it takes away from what I want to see most....my VinCat.
