I don't quite understand the ratings and how they work... Is there a ratings guide for dummies? lol Also what about people who watch digital episodes weekly like the itunes season passes. Do those count? BTW the re-airing of the pilot probably grabbed a lot of new Beasties. I didn't even know about the show a few weeks ago. Now I'm a total fangirl LMAO. I'm sure there are lots of people like me who don't know about it. Usually the first numbers in early in the morning are estimates..Once all the data comes in from the country it is then adjusted...I hear that in the NYC area they didn't air the show at 9 cause of the Yankee game. This was a factor in the change of numbers. There is a ratings for dummies of sorts in the first rating thread LOL In case you want to read up on it more. Yolie

I read that too and to be quite honest I wanted to backhand the writer. To me I can't take people seriously who haven't watched the show and are just making assumptions based on nothing. Plus this is just this person's opinion about how the ratings/fall season will go. Time will tell how the Monday switch up will affect our show but that doesn't mean we'll stop fighting for our show, promoting it and watching live.

^ Rating disaster says who? Look I for one would watchthe show even if it's on late night so that won't change...No matter where the show is put there are always ABC NBC and CBS shows that are on..Be it the Voice, American Idol, or whatever..So I wouldn't get to upset about everything you read..As you can see CW doesn't really go by the neilson standards anyway.
Speaking of which I have a update coming in a bit

I'm once again going to repeat myself...Officially tonight they re-air All In ..One of the best VinCat episodes in the early season..Good ratings for even repeats shouldn't be over looked..So PLEASE remember to watch live, record on DVR and watch later and view it online at the CW site or buy it at itunes..Last week we did 0.3/1 rating that is very good for a repeat. We had about 800,000 viewers let's keep it up or make the numbers higher!

This epi is where their relationship truly starts. Tell everyone to watch and use their DVRs!

Final ratings
TVD 0.3/1 780,000 viewers
Beauty And The Beast 0.2/1 850,000 viewers
If you noticed BATB actually had more viewers the TVD but the ratings were lower.

not good at understanding ratings... why were ratings lower for BATB even though there were more viewers than TVD??? I don't get that either. How can that be? If I have this right, Nielsen ratings are based on the number of people aged 18-49 watching the show. So while Beauty had a higher total number of people watching, Vampire had more 18-49 year olds watching (which is the number that advertisers care most about). Apparently though when down in this low ratings range, the viewing habits of a mere 22 18-49 year old Nielsen viewers are what make the .1 difference. I don't know what the actual numbers looked like for Beauty in Australia, but apparently they were disappointing and the show got bumped from TEN to ELEVEN after only three episodes. The show I think was actually originally supposed to air on Eleven and start last year. Maybe Jay should do some promotion for the show while he is down there, if he is still there. Show got a better review than Arrow though in this Australian publication: Perhaps a little surprising, to me at least, is this remake of a 1980s show of the same name, which, though in a similar genre to Arrow - completely ridiculous - didn't annoy me nearly as much as I expected. Starring New Zealand-born Jay Ryan, who had a stint in Neighbours once upon a time, and the impossibly beautiful Kristin Kreuk from Smallville fame, the plot of militarily experimented on Vincent (Ryan) and his love interest Catherine (Kreuk) is the classic story of a good man who can sometimes be bad and the dilemma that means for him and those around him. Corny stuff, I know, but it's still better than Arrow.Read more: www.theage.com.au/entertainment/tv-guide/wednesday-june-12-20130605-2now7.html#ixzz2VhIFKTmbHowever, Beauty looks to be starting well in Italy at least compared to its CW numbers, getting 1,370,000 and 1,350,000 viewers for its last two episodes there. Considering Italy has about 1/6 the US population and those number are higher than Beauty's last 4 original episodes on the CW, those numbers seem good to me, but I have no idea what numbers are considered good for that Italian network. it.ibtimes.com/articles/50257/20130606/ascolti-tv-ascolti-ieri-ascolti-5-giugno-finale-come-un-delfino.htm

^ That's the way the rating system goes pippin, as for the Italian numbers I read it's a hit there! So I'm guessing the numbers are very good
