The gag reel should be great as always. Also, I'm looking forward to these items!
Season in Review: Farewell to the Beast Closing a Chapter: A Fond Farewell
But c'mon! "Farewell to the Beast"??! Is not this show Beauty and the Beast? Jeezusss, I'm so sick of the beast pun titles.
At least in S1 they showed us how the beast was made and how the beauty was dressed. But now, it is quite lobsided, I totally agree. KK having been listed as producer was IMO just to get her a bit more money, but NOT more influence. Also, KK is not one to push herself into the foreground anyway. And it is unclear if the actors even have much input in the making of the CD other than maybe being interviewed and making small clips - like JT showing us the Guild.
Also, I hope they will have a lot more deleted scenes than in S3 DVD.

I, too, hope there are some good deleted scenes, ESPECIALLY for the Finale. But you would think that they would be less likely to edit out any potential VinCat scenes, which is what I would want most.
Like BeastieBoy, I'm wondering if there will be a boxed set at some point, AND if said boxed set would include things like past interviews, comic con appearance, photos/scenes from the original version that we have heard about before but was never actually included on any DVD set. It would be too much to actually get a Director's Cut of episodes that would have full scenes previously unreleased (that hot extended clip from AMP comes to mind!). Sigh.
What I want and what they would give us unlikely to ever happen. But I can still wish.
Personally I don't understand why they can't give us every deleted scene or directors cut? They usually give us 10 deleted scenes. Are you kidding me? That's all they have is 10 scenes from 13 episodes? Come on really....just give me everything, Idc how long the scene is I just want to see it, deleted, extended whatever I want it all.

I also don't understand why they can't give us everything. The extended clip from AMP was apparently put on the episode director's website and later taken down (probably told legally that he had to), but people had copied the clip and posted it. So you can still see it if you know where to look (such as in past threads, but it is SO SMALL).
I guess Standards and Practices limits such scenes like AMP, and it would have to be entitled "unrated" if they included more than S&P would allow. Who knows WHY they can't just include these extended scenes that were originally filmed. Again, I would LOVE to have seen that scene from the Pilot where Cat falls asleep on Vincent's bed, and he watches her sleep. I guess they kept THAT scene out of the S1 DVD due to deciding to eliminate the scene entirely in favor of Vincent and Cat talking about his past. (Plus, they didn't want the audience to think VinCat might have spent the night together, even though it didn't involve sex, in the first episode.) So that would NOT qualify as an "extended scene" since it was actually an "eliminated scene" in favor of a different plot.
But I would LOVE to know if BATB had other episodes with DIFFERENT endings or scenes that were originally filmed and then discarded. And I would DEFINITELY want to SEE these "alternate versions" if they existed. Or at least be TOLD about them in episode commentaries!
We all KNOW that the scripts go through different versions, so I wish they would include EARLIER versions of scrips and comments about WHY they chose to go a different route--similar to what they did in the Pilot with Sherri and Jenn's interview.
I would also LOVE to know about episodes that were maybe contemplated and even made it to some written form before being eliminated, maybe because they chose to go an entirely different route. You just KNOW that Season 2 must have had at least SOME writers wanting to go a different direction. Would LOVE to know what ELSE was proposed!
Still, with BATB having had such low ratings, I doubt an elaborate box set with ADDITIONAL interviews and scenes and other goodies would be made available. I guess it remains to see if BATB will GROW in cult status over the years. I mean, the original BATB got a beautiful boxed set for its 25th anniversary, but that show was so UNIQUE for the times.
