No tearful goodbyes. Somehow, that makes me feel kind of sad. Color me shocked. Oh wait. Not really. There has been a major vibe of detachment and indifference towards the show coming from the members of the cast since months. Years even. The feeling I have is that none of them is or was particularly proud/happy/ excited about the show, there is no sense of BATB being something else than a solid paycheck and job that needs to be done. Fans are respcted and treated well - alway have - but that is it. There is no added value or a sense of accomplishment coming from the cast (except perhaps from Austin) so how can they be any tears shed. If I take a brief look at other tv shows that have been cancelled or are in danger of cancellation and how the cast expresses genuine sadness and emotions - the BATB cancellation seems more like a relief to the actors. Which can be understood. Obviously, the show has evolved and transformed and not to everybody's liking. Maybe that's why KK's tweet session with fans felt more like a chore and a compulsory dance than anything else. The BATB cast never striked me as people who bonded through a tv show. More like people who bonded over the tv show and made the best out of it. It disappoints me there has been little to no social media presence by the 2 leads during this final, 4th season. Something happened between seasons 2 and 3. There were no more cute interviews with the 2 leads, no Comic Con, etc. More recently, I thought Jay could have done something after the attention he was getting from his outstanding performance in "No Way Out." It makes me feel bad for all the beasties who are trying so hard to get a 5th season. Even if by some miracle there was, I can't imagine Jay or Kristin being involved.

I think that we have to accept that jay doesn't care about beasties he was just being polite replying to some matters like season 1 2 and 3 renewal , peoples choice awards. Even the network made him a tweeter account not because he wanted to. I also think he was not happy at all with the season 4 renewal he never have shout out to us he just tweeted back to work. kk at least she gave us q&a So i have nothing to complain to her.

It makes me feel bad for all the beasties who are trying so hard to get a 5th season. Even if by some miracle there was, I can't imagine Jay or Kristin being involved. i think what happened between season 2 and 3 mainly was the ratings. After S1, the cast went to the 2013 upfronts, the studio sent Jay and kk to SDCC and NYCC to promote S2, they hired the social media person and S2 premiered to a 0.3 and less than 900k viewers. I think the network thought or hoped that the show had more viewers who would follow the show to Mondays and it would perform better than what had aired in the timeslot previously. When that failed to happen, the studio and network turned their attention to launching their other products. now if the show had any kind of critical acclaim, ala JTV and Crazy Ex, there probably would still have been combo appearances and more publicity, at least as much as they could interest interviewers and sites in doing. There could have been a little of something else but i don't think it had anything to do with the relationship amongst the cast, at that time, based on things that are out there.
