Right back atcha BeastieBoyYes, I've so missed Cat's/KK's long flowing hair. For me, it's her signature look. I was glad to have it back, even if they used hair extensions. However, whenever I think of Kristin Kreuk, I see that ponytail right from the earliest days of Smallville, forward. That's the "signature" written on my memory.

This was a more creative story idea than most this season. I loved it. However, it's a story that's difficult to pull off consistently. The problem with these "It's a Wonderful Life" dream sequences is there CAN'T be segments where Cat & Tess go off on their own in a part that was not witnessed by Vincent. Or for Evan to have conversations that Vincent wasn't listening to. But then if you don't do things like that you can't have a full, rich story. The same problem is seen by these "hand-held camera, first person point of view movies". They end up cheating for the sake of easier story telling. But otherwise, nice episode. Good flashback sequences and fun to re-visit Evan and Reynolds. I enjoyed the episode even though the second half of the episode was a little weak from a storyline standpoint. Still do not have a clue or hint who is trying to kill everyone. I mean we have had 5 episodes and we don't have any info. Could be a Beast Bountyhunter or someone else? At this point I think they need to give the viewer some "meat" to this story. I liked all the nuances of early Vincent and Catherine.......Evan and Reynolds were great.........JT and Tess were cute.......Throwback Tess and Cat..........lots of nostalgia but it would of been nice for some insight on the Baddies or some slight reveal. I am afraid it will all be done in the next to the last episode and then that's it.

I don't think we'll know who the real big bad is for a few more episodes. That will then probably take us into the final arc.

Good flashback sequences and fun to re-visit Evan and Reynolds. I think cuz this was Vincent's fever dream as opposed to a first person recollection, it was ok to have the non-Vincent scenes. When I dream, sometimes, I'm not always me. And the goofy timeline in the dream, was it 2013 or 2016, Evan and Reynold's quick acceptance of Vincent, Cat's willingness to leave Evan behind can be overlooked as the way Vincent's mind was working or wanting things to be and in the case of Reynolds and Evan, how Vincent ultimately came to view the two men. Also since Cat and Tess supposedly still investigated JT at the warehouse, the fact that neither recognized him was either a nod to that season 1 head scratching situation, a mistake, or Vincent's messed up dream.

I was slowly working through that in the fever dream I call normal life. Once you admit Vincent is out of his head, pretty much anything goes. And as you point out it can neatly plug up long-standing plot holes. One thing I particularly enjoyed was how often Vincent said something like "I must be dreaming". That's the one thing that never occurs in my dreams, feverish or otherwise.

When JT sneaked into Evan's lab to use his equipment, Tess came in with that Justin Bieber character and didn't recognize JT.

That one wasn't so weird to me because I didn't recognize him when they first showed him sitting in the car waiting for Cat without his glasses and at least Nina played it sort of like she may have been puzzled by him, but in Heart of Darkness, he introduces himself to Tess like they've never met and she doesn't seem to have any memory of meeting a JT Forbes.

I have very good control of my dreams and sometimes even decide that tonight I don't want to watch nightmares.

I noticed tonight that Kristin Kreuk was listed as a Producer of the show. Has that been true all along and I'm just now catching on? I don't think that was true in prior seasons. Reminds me of the final years of Smallville when Welling became Executive Producer and directed a number of episodes. Who could say no?
