A little late for canada and too early for US . But I guess it is better than nothing. I was starting to believe he didn't care too much about the show. That it was past and that he wasn't to happy with season 4 renewal . Wish both were more active on tweeter in interact more with fans.

VinCat decide to lay a trap for the assassin using Catherine as bait. She mingles with a crowd of bloggers (?) (I had to deal with some pesky ads at that point and missed about half of that scene). Anyway, Vincent is watching her like a hawk, but the assassin manages to kidnap Catherine anyway without Vincent seeing it. Not to complain about that again, but that was a bit of a plothole, because he could have scanned for her heartbeat and followed them, but I will let that slide.
Vincent runs to JT and Tess and tells him that he lost Catherine and cannot find her and do they have anything on the murderer. I did not quite follow how they come up with the guy's whereabouts and exactly why - I think Vincent was able to identify his knife as a hunting tool - but how they made the jump to his address I did not get.Catherine wakes up and she is tied to a beam in the ceiling - arms outstretched. Her kidnapper is unpacking all kinds of nasty torture tools and even puts on a rubber apron. Now that was creepy and full of tension, because it really looked like he would seriously hurt her. He asks her about beasts and tells her that there is a 5 million dollar reward out there to bring on in. Then he advances on her with a pair of pliers, but, of course our little ninja fighter knocks him out with her legs as he gets close enough. Then she does an amazing - and totally surprising - sort of upswing and lands on top of the beam. The guy is slowly recovering from having hit his head on a table, while Catherine is untying herself. When assassin guy looks up, she is gone. She then attacks him and he grabs his gun, but never fear Vincent is here by then and he kills the guy. There is some more talk between Tess and Catherine to tie up the case and between Tess and JT - relationship talk and the episode ends with a candlelight dinner on the roof top. Really nice. Maybe we could go with whatever drug the bounty hunter used on Cat to knock her out caused her heartbeat to sound different throwing V off but then what happened to his bloodhound nostrils? Maybe the drugs made her smell different too? Still not as bad as Season 1 and Vincent's inability to outrun Tess in the tunnels or his inability to carry Evan when he'd been shot. I think they should have had V at least open the evidence bag with knife to get a good whiff, but anyway, JT found a surveillance image of the guy and they narrowed it down to that one particular building because of some previous bust with poaching or something.

I swear it took almost the whole morning to watch the showcase clip! Just technical issues, my computer wouldn't install latest version of flash, hola wouldn't work on my computer, I tested different search engines and it wouldnt work! OMG! Pain in the butt! But totally worth it! Anyway I had to install flash offline to get it to work and use Tunnel bear with chrome. Finally! It also only worked on my desktop, not tablet or phone. Anyways so bout the epi! Loved how they put the Chateau du Chombard Castle in the background! Very smart! Im wondering whether the writers saw my tweet about that way back or maybe from Austin! Because that is the castle that they got the idea from the disney movie and I recall going there and tweeting about it. Or probably they got the idea lol. But I remember think it was this forum way back that I said it'll be cool to see Vincent trying to speak French while they have dinner Would've been a bonus to see Vincent cook, but I'll take it! The only thing bugging me is the repetition from Tess, Cat complaining about fighting beasts and wanting to escape. I mean I'd be like that if I were in their shoes...but it's like I heard you already, we know it was mentioned last season! Heather and the guy...I think there's more going on. Though the guy is pretty hot! Good to see a little of JT liners, like saying Bonjour in a French accent! Haha...I missed that. We need more JT liners! Vincent seems quite laid back lol...it just made me think he changed alot since the old days lol. I know he was a little like that season 3..I take it Jay is putting himself bit into the character. I don't know Jay, but I always got the vibe he is laid back, chill, likes to have fun..Anyway it's interesting to see Cat as the stresshead and Vincent the relaxed one though I'd be curious to see it switch for an epi, just out of curiosity lol! Same with JT...I wouldn't say he's relaxed but it's strange to see him as the reassuring person in the relationship whereas Tess is freaking out. But alot has happened with JT. We need more light moments! Haha I'm secretly hoping maybe for season finale for Vincent to sing and dance as we know Jay is capable lol!

Good thinking pippin - I can buy the 'some drug/serum changed Catherine's scent AND heartbeat', but (and there is always a but, LOL) - how did the assassin get Catherine out of the crowd without anybody noticing? He injects her (and it is a drug that works within 1 second so she cannot react), she collapses, he catches her and carries her off. Wow, he must have some superhuman properties. She is not heavy mind you, but she was walking in the middle of a crowd and only concealed from Vincent by a clothes rack (?) for what? two seconds. No matter - it is what it is and it gave us some suspenseful moments when Catherine was in the hands of this maniac. When he put on the rubber apron, I actually felt some angst for my lovely Catherine's face. And I loved the fact that she freed herself BEFORE Vincent showed up and THEN they beat the guy together. And your reference back to S1: you are soooo right - they messed with his powers already back then. My favorite plothole in S1 is Tess' memory loss regarding JT. She interviews him together with Catherine and later when he comes to the precinct, she asks Catherine who the 'geek' is and she sees him in Evan's office, gives a detailed description to the sketch artist, but does not recognize JT. And neither does Evan when he visits JT later at the university even though the sketch was pretty good.

Ok!!! After two days of agony finally I manage to see the Episode. I used DotVPN for Chrome and watch on Showcase's site. Only Once in order to not finish my MB Anyway, about the episode: I'm going on laughing since yesterday evening. They are all too funny and I love it. Jay's french is very bad, but How cute was Vincent while reading the name of french dishes bought for a evening on their rooftop? And finally he mixed up with italian ahahha He said "sì" instead of "Oui" or "yes"... poor man! And when Cat tells him that there is a price on his head of 5 million dollars ahd he says something like I'm worth more? Love his self confidence. JT and Heather make a better pair than JT and Tess IMO. Heather is funny and naive All their faces in the convo between Cat, Heather and Vincent when they discovered Kyle "checking on heather" are priceless

I can tell already that I will be SUFFERING waiting until Thursday to see this episode! And BeastieBoy, you really DID surrender to the darkside!!! I truly will be the LAST to see this episode when it actually airs on Thursday! And as to WHY Heather chose Cat's bed---now THAT is a throwback to S1 in my opinion. Remember how Heather and her then-boyfriend were "christening" EVERY room in Cat's apartment (you know, the episode where the Judge gets run over by the car)? Obviously, Heather seems to be continuing THAT tradition! You won't be alone. There are several US beasties on this board who only seem to comeback when the season is airing live. Hopefully they will comeback again to post after Thursday. OTOH, many fans just don't seem as passionate as before, so we'll see. I will be watching live on Thursday too. I've got a mental list of the things l liked and didn't like about 401, but I'm saving that for after the CW's premiere. I'm in the same boat being in the US, it really does suck we have to wait 4 days after it has already aired somewhere, Ugh!!!

LOL. Yeah it's all Zelly's fault! Actually, I'm still very upset that Showcase and the CW don't air on the same nights! I really think it hurts the viewership in the US. Spoilers and other people's opinion can influence one's enthusiasm to watch. So I still try to be as spoiler free as possible. For me, I always enjoy something the most when I have absolutely no idea at all what is going to happen. Hey!!!! Why is it my fault??!!!! Cheeky Lol I'm one of your followers who reads your fanfiction!!! Need I say anymore, Lol

IMo Vincent lost Cat in the crowd because he got in panic and wasn't able to think clearly and focus on his beast power. After he realized that the killer was a professionist that love torture his victims to retrieve information before killing them, he was able to recover, focus on the knife (that was in killer's hand) and try to track him.
In the first place I haven't understood why he took a car to arrive at killer's place instead of simply blur there, but maybe he can manage that hight speed only for a short path and not for long distance. (all this passage is not so clear for me , but maybe when I will rewatched it I will be able to understand more)
I gasped when Vincent killed the killer (ahahha bad pun) because I thought that he ripped his heart off again from a human being, giving Cat a chance to start (again) her beasty talk to calm him down. But in whatever way he killed, was able to return to his human side soon.
I loved Cat being the "old sister" to Heather with her talk about jumping in bed with a guy she knows only from the day before. In fact Heather is the only one that is able to go on with her life without bothering much about beast, superhuman etc... that is exactly what Vincent wants.
Even though the plot of this episode seems very similar to S3e1 (first impression) from the point of you of the story development, there are big relational differences: Vincent has come to terms with the fact that there will always be challenges and dangers in his life but instead of denying them, he chooses to live his life and think about them only when something real is happening, not before. And there is no fighting with Cat, she approaches him and her fear in a loving funny way that makes her cute (and not harsh and selfish like in S3) Love that JT wants to find his place in the world and not being only a support to the team anymore: he could make the difference in so many ways and he needs to start living again
Instead, no way, I hate Tess (at least in this episode): I can understand that now she wants only to focus on her life, career, moving on with JT... but no one time she asked JT what he really wants. Plus she is always too rude with him
This time Vincent's life and secret are threat by human for the first time. We could see an arc in this story from S1 to S4: in S1 the threat was Murfield, the one who created beasts; in s2 we have other beasts controlled by Bob (that was related to Murfield); in S3 we have superhuman that means even this time someone related to strange experiments. All those threats are potentially destructive but limited to a short number of persons that usually keep everything secret. in this episode of S4 the threat comes from the net, from common people around our team, other human... and I think it could be a bigger problem to manage.

Luna makes a very interesting point--in previous seasons, those coming after Vincent had every reason and motivation in their own self-interests to keep the whole "beast" thing secret. People either wanted to use Vincent for his powers or have him fight their battles against beasts and beast-creating corporations. No one, particularly a government agency, had anything to gain in Vincent's condition becoming public, particularly in light of him being a soldier who volunteered for experiments through his unit, which was then subsequently eliminated. Thus, the end goal has previously just been to kill Vincent, with maybe the exceptions being Liam and he-who-should-be-forgotten in the DA's office. But that was still to knock Vincent out of the running for their own interests rather than to expose "beasts" as a whole.
So it presents a whole other issue in the truth being "out there." Gives an interesting new spin to the usual beast-related concerns. Still, I expect a new central big-bad to be revealed for S4 that is not just the general public or internet angle.
But it does present new, potentially interesting twists.
I WILL NEVER MAKE IT TO THURSDAY!! SOMEONE GIVE ME ONE OF THOSE HARRY-POTTER CLOCK-THINGIES to make the future come FASTER!!!! (Darn Showcase dangling my precious show beyond my reach for 4 WHOLE DAYS!. . . )

I finally managed to watch the episode and OMG it was great. I've missed VinCat soooo much. They are so beautiful together. The beginning scene was just amazing. The chemistry between VinCat gave me S1 feels. Although, I wish to see Vincent more shirtless You could tell - Cat loves his body Heather and JT were so funny. The scene with Kyle, Heather and VinCat cracked me up, although I hated that they were in VinCat's bed!! Heather seriously needs to find her own apartment! Somehow she always succeeds in interrupting the precious VinCat moments A BIG complain from me: what was that scene with that snake? I was about to have a heart attack after seeing that. They scare me to death. LOL. I hope this thing won't get any more screen time in the following episodes. Anyhow, I loved every second (except that scary thing) and it's making me even more sad that it's the final season. We deserve more than that.
