Finally got my vpn to work and it is awful slow like beastieboy said. Yes, lots of S3 feels. It was a good episode, just loved the honeymoon and that it was Cat that didn't want to leave the bed. Overall it was a great episode. I'm unsure of how I feel about the Season 4 so far, I know it's only one episode, but I feel like there is something missing, I can't quite put my finger on it yet, but then again it could just be mixed emotions and sadness as this is the final season. For some reason, I thinking about the atmosphere of S1&S2 during the whole episode. And I just love Jay&KK together they honestly make the show and the show is absolutely crap imo without them.

Finally managed to stream this on showcase. Yes it does have some season 3 feel I think combined with some season 1 feel. I like how the chemistry between Cat and Vincent seemed to flow effortless. JT seems to be back to his old funny self. I especially liked his scene at the airport with cat and Vincent when he was trying to convince them to turn back and return to their honeymoon. I also think that JT and Heather have evolved into a cute fun tag team. I enjoyed the scenes they had together. It seems Heather has become the one person who has time to listen to JT and take him seriously without dismissing him first. I also like that Cat and Vincent are back to their old loving selves that worry about each other and try to make time for each other while fighting off crime and beast hunters. Overall I think it was a great first episode and if it continues like this I think we will have a great season 4 which makes me sad all over again that this will be the final series. I forgot to mention that so far I like Heather's new love interest. He promises to be a good addition to the group that is if he doesn't turn out to be a bad guy. I agree! I thought 301 was a very good start to S3, but then some of the episodes didn't deliver. So I hope that won't be the case for S4. But without a doubt for me the feel was S3 like, not S1. Which is to be expected, because the showmakers didn't start getting real negative feedback about S3 until they were halfway done filming S4. I also thought the VinCat scenes were very sweet, cute and funny. But Vincent? Come on buddy! If Cat just wants to stay in bed in, it's time to beast up!!! What was all that talk about wanting to go out and see Paris? LOL!

bbatb - I thought about you as a I watched, because as I predicted, it was very S3 like. And I know how you feel about Brad Kern. So did you like it? I did. Oh, and for folks that are wondering about that shower scene from the trailer, it's not in this episode! See why I hate spoilers? You know what: I thought it was NOT very S3-like. There was no fighting between VinCat - well a bit, but it was rather cute and not the almost antagonistic, one-up-manship, I-am-going-to-prove-that-I-am-right-and-you-are-wrong kind of fighting and bickering that drove me crazy in S3. But most of all: their CHEMISTRY is back, they are kissing with FEELING behind it not just a perfunctory peck here and there. There was real suspense and some surprise twists. I honestly loved the whole episde. It was paced a little bit slower, Catherine was NOT in a tripple espresso high-octane mode, it introduced a new threat, a new guy in Heather's life, and the scenes between JT and Tess were good. I am not a big fan of THAT pairing, because I think they do not really have chemistry (I liked JT with Sara much better), but here it actually worked - much to my surprise. No, as I said before: credit where credit is due! This episode was well-written, beautifully executed and overall a joy to watch. [ I agree I think. Chemistry was almost perfection. They were kissing with a bit more umpfh and I love when Cat is the aggressor. And I think you actual hit what I'm feeling that pace was a bit slow for my taste, but at this point I'm taking whatever I can get.

BeastieBoy you are right, the feeling was not like S1 and that is okay, we can never go back to THAT. Like you, I hope that things continue in this manner and not fall apart again like they did after 301.

I felt it was S3 like because of the superhero-ish tone and feel of the story telling, not the VinCat interaction of S3. Glad you enjoyed the episode!

It's much more superhero-ish/comic like, while S1 and most of S2 were more grounded in reality. You'd never get a scene with Cat doing that unreal martial arts move to free herself from the beast hunter in S1 or S2. But the honeymoon scenes alone made this a great episode for me! I also love seeing them as a loving couple, united against the world.

I agree it reminds 301, but now after a short time both Cat and Vin admit that something is happening, Tess is the one to try to deny the situation. At first, our couple is in Paris enjoying themselves, but it is clear when Vin saves a couple from being burnt after an accident using his beast powers that no matter the risk he will always use them when anybody needs to be saved. JT discovers than a blogger is ready to expose beasts and maybe Vin as Tess refuses going into that he looks for Heather help, but when they visit the blogger they find that he was murdered and the assasin is still there to threat them, heather is hurt when they run away so Jt calls our couple to ask them to come back. When they are back Cat gets Tess involved but the killer run away from them after murdered the special agent who covered Vincent stuff and after finding Cat was involved in beast case. They are sure the killer will come after Cat so they plan to expose Cat and use Vincent to catch him, but things go wrong and the killer dissapears with Cat. When he is going to torture Cat for info she can release herself but when she is still fighting Vincent arrives and kills the murderer. During the time Cat was captured she finds out that somebody has offered to pay 5 millions to find out a beast. The episode gets to the end showing one scene for each couple. JT and Tess who had planned to move together discussing why JT will always be ready to jump into any beast issue as he feels is part of the purpose of his life. Vin and Cat have a nice French dinner in our loved rooftop where they talk about their future and that they will deal together with any beast issue as they always did.

I like the episode and the dynamic, I fell same style than S3. One thing I liked a lot was Cat and Jay looks, I like summer style with clear colors. They both look younger with this clothes.

But it's weird, bc I never was thinking about the atmosphere of S1&S2 last season, that's why I think it has to do with the finality of the show ending. I can't really complain about the episode and after seeing the episode I kinda like the idea of a beast hunter plot a lot actually:)

Still watching but here are my first thoughts:
Oh I love VinCat. Their interaction still somehow reminds me of s1. The divorce talk was so funny and flirty. (VinCat lovingly discussing over dividing their kitchen appliances and divorce for those who haven't seen the ep) also the honeymoon was nice..especially the bed scene as people have discussed.
Tess and JT were cool and not as bad as s3. Heather and Kyle were great and seem like a great pairing. Can't wait to watch the rest of the episode!

I did notice that there was no fighting between Vincent and cat which sets it apart from season 3 which I liked because at some point in season 3 I thought Cat was becoming very aggressive and careless. I especially liked the scene were Vincat all worried about Heather,s safety walked in on Heather getting on with the new guy. I thought that scene was well done. And then there was this French couple for whom Vincent risked exposure to rescue and instead of thanking him for serving them he is being weird and seems determined to paint Vincent as the bad guy. It's a good thing the police officer didn't take him seriously.
Although it started with the usual I thought we were all done with this beast staff routine I was glad that by the end of the episode they all seemed to embrace the beast stuff and that it sets them apart from everyone else. I especially liked JT's speech to Tess about how the beast stuff is important to him and that he would want her to support him. It would be good if in this season we could see everyone embrace were they are and make the best of it. I also hope that it will not be like season 3 Where the first episode was promising but the following episodes couldn't beat the first episode. It also seems like they have abandoned the idea of having Cat trying to talk down the beast all the time.

Yes the summer wardrobe was a very nice change and especially the lack of any wardrobe in the opening scene! I was just about to say that too! They both looked absolutely stunning in the first scene especially. They still lack a bit of spontaneous hugging and touching for newlyweds but not complaining! VinCat is great altogether and can't wait for episode 2! ?

What do you all think about Cat choosing to keep her name? She's still Catherine Chandler, not Catherine Keller.

OK, I have watched it off of Showcase's website. Yes I caved in, couldn't resist. It's S3 like, but in a good way. I enjoyed it! Do folks want details? Great BeastieBoy finally, it is the last Season so why not enjoy from the first day. Unfortunately oposite to you, I could not see the S.
