Hitower is making a BATB CD. I assume it will have some soundtracks, wondering if it will include some of the famous songs used as well. I'm sure many beasties will buy one if it becomes generally available.

I still listen to the CD of the 'old' BATB show, where Vincent (Ron Perlman) is reciting poems and with 'their' songs and melodies. Ron Perlman had/has a really gravelly voice, but he can also do the quieter passages to perfection - he is doing a great job on that CD.
Looking forward to THIS CD.

A BATB cd could also be made available through Itunes, etc. WOW! So why would a cd be prepared JUST for promo purposes? For What? I mean, it is not like the CW will adverties much for BATB.
And will this cd just be for the upcoming season or for the WHOLE of BATB? I already bought or downloaded all the songs from the series that I have liked, but I would still OF COURSE by the cd.

OF COURSE, this means we MUST discuss what SONGS should make the CD.
My vote for what must be included would be as follows:
1. The Pierces --"We Are Stars" (I KNOW that I would not get ANY arguments from fellow Beasties on this one!! Long live AMP!) 2. Fall Out Boy --"The Phoenix" (Okay, I just love this one. Vincent jumping over Muirfield computer databases with Catherine in his arms as fire burns around them, destroying the Orchard. "Put on your warpaint" indeed!) 3. Laurel --"Blue Blood" (Because that scene was just SO hot, even if it ended too soon. You know the one--where Cat on the roof tells Vincent she isn't getting her badge back because she is sleeping with a fugitive, Vincent replies that she isn't at the moment, and Cat comments that no one is watching right then, they start making out heavily, SIGH. . . and of course get interrupted.) 4. M83 --"Midnight City" --(It is in the Pilot, right after Cat's initial voiceover, as we go from sky view to seeing her patrol car. And it IS such a great song.) 5. Train --"Calling All Angels" --(It is also in the Pilot. Playing when they first show the Salty Dawg. Nuff said.) 6. Cody Fry (or whatever his name is--I'd have to check my computer.) --"Find My Way Back" --(This was the PERFECT song to play at the end of 215.)
I'll have to think about the others. I wasn't fond of the songs that played in 201 and 202, or I would include the song where they are making out in "Kidnapped," of course.
Can Hitower give us any clues regarding song choice and season choice of songs?

I concur with most of your list and I'll add: Guiding Light -Foy Vance Never Let Go (pilot) The One- Ed Sheeran My Salvation (1x22) Terrible Love (1x22) Sea Wolf-whirlpool Safe with me (1x18) Calling on Saint Christopher Stay with me (1x17) Desire (1x16) Sugar (1x15) Catalyst (1x14) Cider sky (1x06) Poison&swine (2x08) I can't make you love me (2x01) Rust or Gold (2x02) What a Day (2x09) I have made mistakes (2x12) Wherever you go All I want (2x17) One thing (2x20) Latch (2x22) Wildfire (3x04) I think we need a couple CDs at this rate. Lol

Yeah, pippin, you are right. Getting the copyrights for all these other songs would be too expensive just for a 'promotional' cd, so better not get our hopes up.

Is a soundtrack of instrumental music from the series still in the works?

Is a soundtrack of instrumental music from the series still in the works? Yes the CD is out, but seems Hitower only has 10 extra copies...

I would love to get a copy but odds are not in my favor. I like the VinCat "love theme."
