Let's face it,this show has been a goner for several years now.Outside of the beasties community, noone or media would even talk about it.Glad CW finally put it out of it's mysery.
That being said, there were times when I cared about beauty and beast when it first started. But the show started to lose it's appeal as early as season 1 for me.
Catherine went from independent woman to bella swan type who couldn't careless about anything else other than taking care of her boyfriend's endless dramas.
Even them as a couple lost their autenticity when he just dropped her so sudden the second other woman appeared, dumped Cat right to her face & made her second choice after he had noone else,& she just accepted him back so fast with no dignity for herself.....then you have one of the creators giving interview saying theres nothing wrong & everything is perfect(how cocky)--''-I think that is when i got turned off and stop caring about the main pairing.
Then even if you just watch for Cat,her character got worse,no real storylines,& only revolved herself around beast.meh!

Yes, pippin that assessement is probably correct. I remember reading an old interview with Brad Kern about the last (two?) seasons of Charmed and how he had to cut down the role of Brian Krause (LEO) due to budget constraints. If I remember correctly they wrote him being held somewhere in order to get the sisters to concentrate on the final big evil and then he was brought back for the last episode only. My head says that maybe it is better to go out with a high-quality last season, but my heart is breaking at the very thought. In addition to cast salaries increasing there was also probably a decline in the international sales. I see that it is being pulled from its German TV broadcaster due to poor ratings and a couple months ago I saw on Twitter that some other country's station wasn't showing the last three episodes of S3. Watch in the UK acquired S4 before S3 aired but the ratings I saw for Watch were trending down as well and often the show wasn't showing up amongst the channel's top 10 programs anymore.

Even Italy hasn't buyed S3... we go on with re-runs of S1 and S2 but our major channel doesn't want to air S3

The channel is looking for a new slot on TV, I assume they will air the rest of the eps shortly before midnight, like they always do with low rating series.

One of the reasons it is not doing so well in Germany - for example - might be that Beasties have found other ways of watching the show (via internet, etc.) instead of staying up late or instead of waiting until it finally airs in this country. Also - and that is my personal main reason - is that I just cannot stand the synchronization voices and it really does lose a lot during translation.
Many Beasties are so passionate and eager to see the latest episodes that they do NOT want to wait until it is finally aired in their respective countries, if it is aired at all. Passionate fans is great to have, but can also be bad for business. Just my personal guess, of course, it could have other reasons entirely why the ratings have dropped internationally.

I buy your ideas, but if you are a beasties you may know that you could have more seasons only if you give your contribution to ratings, otherwise your beloved show will be considered an unworthy show for channel business. Plus, if you want, you can listen to the original audio even while episodes are airing with synchronization voices. None voice could be compared to Jay's and sometimes translation isn't perfect, but people that don't understand english could appriciate it anyway (well, in Italy is simplier coz we have excellent synchronization voices... but for us Jay has the same voice of jansen Ackles :-) )

Unfortunately, I CANNOT make any contribution to ratings in Germany. Like in the US, the German tv networks use a so-called 'Panel' to determine their ratings. This 'Panel' is similar to the Nielson ratings system. There are selected households whose viewing habits are monitored via special devices and that is counted towards the ratings. One cannot apply to be one of those households. So, I could watch German tv till the cows come home and it would not make one iota of difference. I do, however, support our show by buying multiple sets of dvds. Everybody - family and friends - are getting them for birthdays and Christmas. I buy them especially for my nephews and nieces and tell them that it is a good way to improve their English if they watch it often.

Seeing Cat's wedding dress getting packed up is a little sad. Doesn't quite go with S3 or S4 exactly, so putting it here.

Anybody knows what is happening with these clothes? I mean, okay, the wedding dress would be of no interest to KK, but some of the other things she could totally use again. They were bought specifically for her and most of them looked sooooo good on her. (I know BeastieBoy, NOT the 'batwing shirt' - LOL). A lot of actors and actresses have it in their contracts that they get to keep the clothes used in films and series, guess KK did not want them. Maybe they donate them to a good cause - that would be totally in KK's interest.
