Is it possible that the ending was a DREAM? Anything is possible, but I don't think it was. The lighting wasn't dream like (if that makes sense); I really think what we saw did happen. If it was just a dream... well take me back to fantasy land please, because my goodness... I need a Hurricane strength fan to cool off the heat that those two were emitting!!! Vincent oh Vincent... you really didn't need to bother to tie up your robe.. why so shy all of a sudden??!!

The Sam plot is old. So very old. He's not a very entertaining antagonist, IMO. Tess talks Cat into one thing one week, and out of it the next. She's literally a sounding board and there to fire one liners back at Cat- whatever thoughts the writers want put in Cat's head that week, that's what Tess does, and she has no other character development otherwise... JT was the same to a point, but really stepped up tonight. However, this show is supposed to be about true love, and JT gave the speech to Vincent that CATHERINE should give, if this love is "epic". Catherine should be the one to "truly learn to love a beast" and tell him that he is BOTH man and beast and she can accept and love all of him, but more importantly, he has to accept himself! Wow, I'm so glad that JT made such a loving speech to his boyfriend. #sarcasm I get what Cat was saying at one point: Gabe had pretty much made up for the old stuff he did. I know some don't forgive it, but my issues with Gabe aren't the stuff from season 1 anymore. NOW HE'S WORSE, but more on that later*** Now, rather than being a beast who's coming after her and Vincent, now he's just a controlling boyfriend. Why is he bossing her around and why is she taking it? Answer, she feels *so* guilty about her obvious feelings for Vincent that she's agreeing with Gabe's assessment of situations, thinking she needs to try harder to show Gabe she's into him and not Vincent. Newsflash, Catherine: if you have to try that hard to convince your new boyfriend that you're over your old one, then you're NOT OVER YOUR OLD ONE. Since when does Catherine care about going by the book?? NEVER. But because bossfriend, I mean boyfriend said they had to go by the book to nail Sam, Cat's all suddenly doing that? So it's what Gabe wants, and NOT what Catherine's instincts tell her? And Vincent's opinion be darned, of course. It's not like he has any experience with all this beast mess and saving lives and whatnot... #sarcasm Back to Gabe*** (refer to the "more on that later" bit) What Gabe went and said to Vincent showed me the lack of man he is. Vincent has done some horrible things this season, truly horrible things. I'm not excusing them. But Gabe went to pee on his territory behind Catherine's back and talk to Vincent and tell Vincent to leave her alone, but it was the way he did it. He basically told Vincent that he was worthless and that he (Gabe) was better than him (Vincent) because of the beast. These are the types of things Evan said to Vincent, accusing him of being a monster that could never be with Cat, but the difference was, Evan didn't know any better. Evan only knew about the killings. The more Evan knew, the more he realized he was WRONG and that Vincent was a good man. However, Gabe already knows everything. He is armed with the correct information and he still stood there, a former beast himself, and told Vincent, in his own words, that since he (Gabe) is no longer a beast, that he is a better man and that Vincent is a monster who doesn't deserve the love of a woman like Catherine. This reeked of desperation, and, honestly, Gabe was a character I truly liked until last week, when he ordered Cat that Vincent had to go, and now this week, when he still kept bossing her around, and went and said these things to Vincent. Also, your girlfriend is getting pried out of a car by jaws of life and you're displaying petty jealousy??? What about, "Omg, Catherine, where are you? I'll come right away!" Yeesh. Pretty much done with Gabe. Catherine....Catherine..... I'm so disappointed. So. Disappointed. Wishy-washy, and I don't just mean with the boys. Cat seems unable to form her own thoughts anymore. Gabe says go by the book so she goes by the book. He says stay away from Vincent so she tries to. She's trying so hard to manipulate herself mentally into being totally okay being with Gabe. Either that or she's not trying all and just letting Gabe think for her. Either way, this is not the Catherine that I know. Shooting Vincent was the most correct and badass thing she ever did, and, instead of being on the right track after it, she has fallen apart. I don't even recognize her anymore. The writers say this is about true love. What love? No one said love. The nightmare scene had more love in it. SEX ≠ LOVE. Just b/c they have attraction does not mean, "Wow, can't deny true love!" which IS what the writers will tweet about tomorrow night, mark my words.
I can't even start on how Cat's cheating..... Just what.
I love the changes I'm seeing in Vincent, but I still need some apologies from him. And he needs to choose Cat as his first choice, but it's kind of too late because all the redheads have already given their stamp of approval to Vincat and he's yet to put Cat before any other woman. UGH!!
Honestly, the end of this ep did NOT feel like Cat unable to "deny her true love", it reeked more of Cat not being able to quit her bad habit. Totally epic. #sarcasmSorry, I'm not wooed by the rushed, underdeveloped, cheating Vincat.Yup, I can see the writers now with their true love, epic love, etc comments on twitter tomorrow. And with Austin saying VinCat being something Shakespearean, does that mean someone is gonna die or he means it's a tragic love story? Well then I'll agree there. Tragic.

Just rewatched the final scene. Watching it on its own without thinking about the rest of the episode or season BOY IT'S HOT!! Jay and KK sure can deliver!! They couldn't take their lips off each other. The way Vincent grabbed Catherine!! How Catherine grabbed his head!!! I have one complaint though: WHERE IS THE FRIGGIN LIGHT?!!!!! WE HAD BETTER GET GREAT LIGHTING ONCE WE SEE AN ACTUAL VINCAT SEX SCENE!!! Don't make their scene so too darn dark!!!

Just saw the episode and wanted to give my two cents before reading the posts. OH MY GOSH! The end scene. The kiss. I just love seeing them kiss. Hope that doesn't sound creepy. Haha. Catherine and Gabe's relationship. The whole time I was thinking of how did it even start. Haha. I probably didn't pay attention much. I mean I know and understand Gabe's side, but I didn't really see how Catherine started. I could see that she appreciated his efforts of helping and him trying to prove himself. I saw a friendship and type of partnership but didn't see how she could think of starting to like Gabe beyond that. I just see her trying, like "Oh Let's date and see how things go" type of thing but not a full on relationship that she has to always reassure Gabe by telling him that she chooses him over Vincent. It seems like Gabe is moving a bit fast in the relationship than Catherine, with the whole key thing. I think it would have been more believable if Catherine was starting a relationship with someone who was never a beast, just normal person. But I can see the direction of having Catherine having a relationship Gabe. The better parts I loved about this episode was the broship between JT and Vincent. I just love their dynamic and every scene together. Just not matter what they are there for each other. You know what, they have an epic friendship. JT has been there for Vincent since the beginning and never gave up on him. JT was there when Vincent didn't remember him, when Vincent was on a beast high and just looking out for Vincent. Vincent, even though he didn't remember JT, he would still go to him for guidance, help and advice. They have a solid foundation of friendship that they have been able to overcome whatever has come their way. The car crash scene. Love their banter as always. Just the whole scene. I don't know how else to describe it. For me, even though they are kind of different from who they started in season 1, their banter is always the same. It is one of the few things that is very VinCat from the beginning. When they were pulling the door out, I found that scene funny because everybody is like " whoa" and clapping. I think the fireman was like whoa I didn't know I was that strong. The boathouse scene. As much as I loved that they kissed. I was hoping they had that moment when Catherine is not with Gabe. That whole heartedly choosing Vincent. Probably a much more better build up like when they had their first kiss. But it's okay. My shipper heart was happy. There wasn't much of Tess in this episode. I'm not sure who she wants more for Catherine, but I think she will be for whoever makes Catherine happy. Sam. I love him as the baddie! It's like there is more to him. I like his storyline. But of course, there is probably a much more bigger baddie that Sam is chasing after.

Did anyone have a What the Heck moment when Vincent found Gabe in his houseboat helping himself to his whiskey (or whatever that was...didn't look cheap either, but who knows, I'm a teetotaler) Like DUDE! You can't just walk into my house and do crap like that...he even offered Vincent a glass and surprise, surprise, Vincent took it and didn't beast out...now, that's control . Gabe seriously needs to get his ass whooped for pulling a stunt like that...yah, making yourself "at home" in Vincent houseboat (which I still want to set on fire) whilst telling him to take a hike, really? Do you have a death wish or something

Totally epic. #sarcasm Sorry, I'm not wooed by the rushed, underdeveloped, cheating Vincat. Seriously, this. The Sam story is ..super yawn. I can not pay attention for the life of me. I know he had a son who died. Was he adopted? I'm not sure. My brain don't want to pay attention. I know exactly where you're coming from. I think most of Smallville viewers know Kristin signed up for a strong female character. To support women, Jen and Sherri and all that female empowerment stuff. And how all that vanished with the new showrunner. Yes, the showrunner sets the tone, gives directions to directors on how to direct, etc. There is a cool Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead creator) interview on geektime podcast and he talks about what exactly a showrunner does, which is basically everything. And I feel BATB didn't get best SR..to say the least. Which is really sad. Also, I think she did not fight for her character this season because she knew it was a losing battle. This is my guesstimate. I'm just going with the show. I knew early in season 2 that these two characters were totally different people. The guy without morals and memory and a woman who's trying to saving him at the expensive of everything in her life. When Vincent laid his hands on her.. that's when the love died. So weird that she covered for him. I still watch for Kristin and the amazing chemistry she brings with her co-stars. Kristin+someguy=really hot, is what I'm watching for. Don't care about the plot at this point. Also, a lot of people still see Vincent as that guy from season 1. They don't even process the things he's done in season 2. They did the classic, pit women against women Tori story and people fell right for it, including forgetting everything Vincent did before Tori. I dunno. I guess they had to soil Cat's character to even them out? We can't control the writing.. this is what they're giving us. I'm just going to hope for good lighting. GOOD LIGHTING! This show helped me realize how amazing Clark and Lana's arc were. They were so cute and thoughtful of one another. Their eyes. Tom.. lol he's so pretty. Fangirling.

I've read a few posts and so many are mad because VinCat are cheating and all that and how cat is like so different now and not the strong woman she was before. She's human! And very flawed! If I remember correctly, it was this that KK liked about cat. She's strong but also very flawed and that's ok. I'm not interested in Cat being a role model for me, I mean sure I want some character development, but that takes time. I like REAL characters. Given Cats situation, with the whole Gabe thing, it's a situation she placed herself in, and now she has cheated. Not good. Obviously Cat's not making the best of choices but let it play out. She's obviously confused. She been making mistakes all season. Give her time. She'll grow. Just don't hate her because she's made mistakes, however big they may be. This is my opinion of course.

Also, what I'm hoping for is that cat obviously breaks up with Gabe and be real with the dude. Tell him the truth. I don't want VinCat to get together just because they did the nasty. They still need to work on some issues and Vincent needs to apologize

I'm sorry don't me but I ABSOLUTELY LOVED every minute of the ep! (Especially the last 2 minutes. ) What i think is the most important about this ep: Catherine was submissive towards Gabe. She tried to please him by "obeying " his request. She never questioned anything he wanted, the way he spoke to V... like a boss and she - a good employee. well even she knows that's not a relationship where she has no right to have a say, they are not equal. She kept thinking about V all the time, not only in her dream but probably all day.... She saw in the beginning of the ep that V still beasted out, it's still a risk about him and she convinced herself or let Gabe convince her that V is mainly Beast. What happened at the explosion is that she saw that V is more Human than beast! he was there to save the man, Xavier, that they all ignored to do in their quest to catch Sam. She saw that this man is HER Vincent. The one she fell in love with and STILL in love with. She realized this. Last scene:For the first time in a long, long, long.... time she did what she REALLY wanted to do. What her heart wanted. Where Gabe has no place in her heart and life.... During their conversation when she was explaining that she had chosen to stay away and he kept telling her that she was right... Oh god. Their faces, their eyes, bodies were YELLING DON'T LET ME GO! PLEASE SAY SOMETHING TO CHANGE MY MIND, PLEASE KISS ME..... Finally their passion for each other overruled their logical mind and.... how he took her in his strong arms... OK I will be back with more coherent thoughts later...

A few things. I have been totally vocal about Cats character lately but her seeing Vincent save that guys life seemed more like the old version in the way she reacted and responded and also in the way she was at the end. I had no problem with how they got together because I see it more as a moment of weakness than an actual reunion. I think that will be saved for another time and we will get the whole picture if you know what I mean. Vincent went after what he wanted and saved Xavier and also with kissing Cat and she reciprocated. Vincent 1.0 never did that and I think Vincent 1.0 would have let Cat walk away instead. I don't consider it a reunion until she decides or chooses the beast over the man as in Vincent over Gabe. Its obvious Gabe is beating that drum and that for Cat to really be with Vincet she is going to have to accept his beast side again in everything. That would be something to see after all this time and all the bad stuff and complaints lately about beasts in her life that she accepts that and even wants it. Because on paper Gabe is what is better for her but she obviously does no feel it and that is why she did not take the key. In fact she is a lot like her real dad right now if you think about it when she used to exiibit moe her mother heart. I think she will notice that soon. She hasn't cared for the life of the innocent beast in a while and VIncent called her out on it. She really can't give him up and siding with Gabe goes against who she really is. Vincent didn't like himself with Tori and how he changed Cat will not like herself with Gabe soon either. In many ways she has to find balance between the justice as defined by law and beast justice.
A few other musings. 1. So apparently there is something that Sam put into the serum that made the beast more "agreeable". I assume that this is what Cat does for Vincent? 2. The serum lives to see another day via the old swallow and cough up in the jail cell scenario. Hope they skipped the cavity search. Nothing to see there. 3. Can Tess pick a side already? 4. Can Vincent pick a side already? 5. Can Cat pick a side already? 6 Do we start a baby pool yet? Dont kill me LOL. Soooo not liking any questioning of Gabe as a daddy ever. AND with all this nefarious no need bed hopping attitude and it being the CW show about DNA and because we have still yet to see the significance of "innocent" Tori it will always in the back of my mind, not to mention Gabes controlling behavior, to scare anyone but he its looking and sounding more like the Gabe character from the original BATB. LOL I mean Gabe checking out Sam profile on computer just seemed weird and the way Gabe non chalantly passed thru that daddy question and that look. I don't know I guess I could be reading to much into it but he could already have a kid out there. Its all just weird for me. Again all this forced out of character sleeping together that they are not even showing is obviously a plot device but to what end? I digress. 7. Car scene was awesome and so was Vincent saving that guy. I liked that Vincent chose to beast out to get out of the car even when Cat said not to. I like that he can make judgements to and not always with her approval, law or no law. 8. "what are you 6?" loved it. 9. Who does Sam want to inject with the serum now? He still has info. 10. Introduction of CIA and NCA. Could get interesting.

Cats confused? Really? And We are supposed to buy that? I'm not picking on you - the problem is that there is no chemistry with Gabo, which makes their relationship very difficult to "believe" and this whole "who will she pick" dilemma absolutely ridiculous. Anyway, I don't buy that she's confused - I don't buy the character manipulation that the writers are trying to sell us. It's not a believable sex-triangle snafu. Anyway, strong independent Cat seems to be gone replaced by someone who acts more like a weak codependent on the nearest warm body. It's boring and disappointing and smells a lot like character assassination. If it was not a chauvinist male calling the shots, things would be different. I mean, the excuses "human" and "flawed" ultimately are just excuses manufactured by a lazy creative team who need a cop out for characters making bad choices... We are all human and flawed. It doesn't mean that we should act like a basket case when presented with a choice between the love of our life and some other random dude. It's just not believable.

My biggest complaint I must say storyline is moving at a snails pace. Let's go already. Xavier is alive and well and has memory could be interesting too.

Eff that.
