So Im watching the episode a 3rd time (this time on the CW website to get the #s up) Im really trying to do my part. The heartbeat scene definitely was all about Vincent, IMO. The minute she found out he would agree to do the rehearsal dinner it calmed down. It also didnt increase when she was talking about Gabe. The racing part had everything to do about Vincent and not Gabe. Also, Catherine is just about begging Vincent to step in and do something about Gabe in the first part of the episode. I mean she's basically using their friendship to try to protect her. Also, I froze the charges on Gabe's acct the Mexico purchase to me wasnt even the most suspicious. He had a 5k cash withdrawal, a transfer to a foreign acct, 1k to a pravaire, a charge to a chemical company. And another suspicious purchase at the Dubstep lounge. Wasnt that they shady lounge involved in Joe's brother's death. Remember Gabe was at the last costume ball trying to get info on the baddies in the episode following Joes bro death. Im just saying the Mexico purchase is looking pretty benign at this point. Plus you need your passport photo completed for ur passport application months before you leave the country... So im not buying that excuse either. I think Catherine might be right in that Gabe is able to avoid Vincent's abilities. Either he has found a way to do it or learned a way from Reynolds. You read all Gabe's account? lol!! amazing!!!! and very interesting!!!

I could finally rewatch the episode for a 2nd time and confirmed my feelings on few things: 1. Vincent is running from Catherine during ALL the episode, afraid of what? Being uncapable of containing himself and kiss her? Or just because he know she's not available and doesn't want to suffer being around her more than needed. I also wonder if he's SCARED to death that she may still love him... There were few situations where Catherine was quite "unsecure" and suggesting that she's hidding in their friendship and the guy just runs and runs and runs!!! lol! Oh Vincent! your weaknesses came back at full force. Responsability for everything happening around you, not feeling worthy, and being selfless towards Catherine because you love her... to the point of giving advices to Gabe and Catherine?? WTH?? that sentence to Gabe about take-outs at the end of the episode really ANNOYED ME!!! And I don't know if you noticed that basicly Vincent admits to Gabe that being "only" friend to Catherine is very difficult for him! So Gabe is conscious that Vincent still have feelings for Catherine? I wonder.. 2. Catherine is a MESS! So, she basicly is CONVINCED that Vincent loved Tori and that he's mourning her. She believes that Vincent is over their relationship and feels NOTHING for her but friendship. That convo at the bar scene made it clear to me, when she tells him: Are you afraid of seeming jealous? Because I get it. You are over our relationship, and you don't have to prove that to me by being pro-Gabe. Oh my godnessssss!!! this is such a messs!!!!!! Her "wavering" during this episode is exhausting. I was proud and happy that she was doubting on Gabe all the episode and even admited that, even if Gabe was not the bad guy, maybe she was avoiding going further with him... Ok, at the end, you decide to TRUST the guy but, does this mean that you are still willing to have a relationship with him?? Because based on your own words, maybe there are other "reasons" (a.k.a. Vincent Keller) that keep you from moving on!!! So WHY WHY WHY you finally accept Gabe to the point many of us suspect? For me it was clear that the heartbeat was because of Vincent around, not her suspicious about Gabe. And did you notice how she asked Vincent: "will you come to the rehersal dinner"? She was almost begging him! And Vincent is soooo weak when it comes to Catherine! lol! he was agreeing and accepting everything she was asking from him! oh these two... children... 3. Gabe... shady or not shady? that's the question! Arrgh! With this episode, they made so clear that he could be bad, to finally make us see that he isn't that I don't see how they can finally make him BAD! I still keep hope that he's baddie but not in the sense of the brain behind all the mythology but more like mean, selfish person. I still put my money on some deal with Reynolds to keep Catherine away from Vincent (which both are interested in) and who knows what else... Anyway, I love Sendhil but his chemistry with KK is -10!! Arrrgh! I cringed every time they were kissing! especially that one in the couch! it seemed too... wet?? 4. JT... ohhh... he's lovely! and a helpless romantic! I love how he was advising Vincent, cheering him up to woo Catherine. The comment about musical was hilarious! and Brangelina... OH I DIED! The thingy with Tess... I'm not seeing it... I don't see how he LOVES Tess. I think it's more of a crush on her... and well... Tess has lack of some , feels nicely surprised by JT details in St. V so she decides to have some action with him!!! Was it necessary? No!! I don't even want to imagine them together!! but I guess someone had to get some nice end in this ep... and obviously V didn't get it! and, IMO Cat and Gabe neither! 5. Sam.. I like this actor! I liked his performance and although it was quite previsible that he could be the bad, I trusted him when he said Gabe was the baddie! I guess I wanted it to be so badly (almost as much as Vincent ) that I didn't see behind that! What I still don't get is the reasoning for Sam to be baddie and which part he plays in all the mythology. I hope we will discover more in next episodes 6. Dana... I'm sorry for her character.. poor woman... so witness protection right? at least they didn't kill her! enough killing this season! lol! Bottom line, I liked the episode despite it was a bitter-sweet one. It's very frustrating witnessing Vincent and Catherine playing the cat and mouse game... and especially hurts seeing how lost Catherine is... and how wrong her choice of another guy is... I admit before the episode I expected a more romantic episode for VinCat, even though at the same time I didn't see how they could be all lovey dovey so fast. So the storyline is consistant with the path they are following and we need to suffer a bit more. As for the glances and stares, etc... and the so mentioned "magic" between them... I think it wasn't there too much on purpose. I mean, how could they share those stares if they were LITERALLY running away from each other? physically and emotionally? and when one was open to "try" the other one was not tunned and the other way around!! No way! If they wanted to portray Catherine being convinced that Vincent doesn't love her anymore, they couldn't share those stares!!!! I can only hope that next week catherine wakes up and with some JT help, she finally realizes that V still loves her!!! You spoke from my heart

I agree with you about all the financial activity and how BS the passport photo excuse was. But the thing is, the writers on this show ROUTINELY screw that stuff up. They don't care if those kinds of details are accurate, so long as they will seem plausible to a youngster.
I'm actually hoping Gabe turns out to be a bad guy by the end of the season. Then I might finally have some respect for the writers.

Okay, I know I've been a broken record about this, but I think there's something wrong with Gabe, like really wrong. So, now that I've repeated my statement for the nth time today , yes! I agree with your last point. I mean, Cat could cheat in "Liar, Liar", right? Why can't Gabe do so now?

Upon a 3rd rewatch, Vincent definitely leaves the chapel because he is overwhelmed with the situation and Catherines comments. I dont think he actually grabs his chest, but I think he grabs his abdomen where he was shot. Maybe he is realizing now w/ visceral pain at that site just how much he lost by choosing to not listen to Catherine and making her shoot him. It was also after he touched that site, that he was able to focus and hear the bomb ticking, so I think that means something.
Also the gabe vincent scene was a little stilted. Vincent had much less to apologize for. When Vincent called him out for "trying to kill him", gabe was so smug and was like "you had to mention it". Seriously, yeah Gabe cuz that's what you did. Attempted murder is a serious crime, Mr. ADA. Its a little bit more despicable than just breaking into an apt to investigate someone as a favor to a "friend". It was the first time, I got the feeling that Gabe might not actually be sorry for what he did to Vincent. Trust me Gabe, Vincent ain't giving you pointers for your benefit, its cuz he cares for Catherine. And I wouldn't mess with him a 2nd time.
Again, those last 5minutes just break my heart. But Vincent is write he has not always done the right thing for a long time, esp to Catherine as he says. So I think as much as it kills me. It was the right path for the show to take by showing him alone, trying to repent for what he did. And I have hope that he will redeem himself in e14.
Uh and then the scene between G & C. I cringed again. She trusts that he is not he person he used to be. And he is overcompensating for the horrible things he did. Really i don't think planning vacations or buying coffee is a way to overcompensate for kidnapping and attempted murder. I think they barely make a dent in what you should do to repent for those actions. Cmon Catherine wake up and smell the coffee and just be by yourself. You didn't get confused, you were protecting yourself, that is fine. Gabe may promise that he wont hurt you, but do any of us trust that sentiment? Trust your instincts, they have always been right before. I feel like Gabe is just trying to take advantage of her struggling to find her way on her journey. He seemed to want more from her even in s1. I think Vincent was right to question his motives then, I just wish we could question them now. I really cant see Gabe being her key to happiness. He has just found a way to position himself in her life, first he used her mother's death, now hes using her self-discovery journey. It just smells fishy...
Oh and on a side note, Tess please listen up. - you don't need to sleep w/ someone to be in relationship, likewise sleeping with someone does not mean you are in relationship. Just saying there is more to relationships than just sex.
PS - Love JT & Tess, but the more I see those scenes the more Im not feeling the room key gesture. Again, tess putting the cart before the horse. Cmon writers give us more than just cheap pandering to fans.

I'm not active in the social media scene but I am curious as to how this episode went down outside this forum.
I have the impression that most of the fandom is anti anything other than VinCat, which is unique, in my opinion.
So what was the general opinion of this episode in the twitterverse???

Trust can not be built in hidden reasons, but in honesty, and that is where they have to start: pure and true honesty. And, again, I think that any attraction Catherine might feel towards Gabe is more based in the idea of what Vincent could have become if he had got over his beast side, as Gabe has. This is, getting over the "broken wing" guys she has traditionally attracted to during her whole life (2.5) and actually moving on with a "fixed one" for once.3. Again: Vincent said "He is a good guy", and I think that if Vincent says so is because it is true... because he is proving he is trustworthy, so he can not be SO wrong. However, I still remember that half smile when bad bio dad said something like "I prefer an ex beast rather than a beast for my daughter". I also am grateful when other people post or find details of importance too. Do you think they just reused the clip? Where is this facebook spoiler group?

He had it coming and she's right to try to move on, specially because she believes he loves Tori and never loved her. Frankly, he did nothing during the entire season to show the contrary. What bothers me is her choice of man. And the fact that she's not woman enough to get over Vincent on her own. It's like she doesn't have any self-respect. Tell me about it. This was the worst redemption of a bad guy I ever saw. And I had watched Mexican soap opera. I don't like Tess this season and there's absolutely no chemistry between Tess and JT. Nothing else to say.

So much that there was complaining for the show's crew that "the spoilers" the fans spilled were to blame for the low ratings this week. I'm not very active on Twitter either, but a friend of mine is and she said that it was equal to the turkey trauma.

Tori knew it because she was able to hear Vincent's heart accelerating next to Cat. I don't think he found out about Vincent's feelings for Cat just because he went to save people on the precinct. As I said before, I still don't believe that DNA can be killed, so... 3. I don't want Gabe giving up of Cat. I want Cat dumping Gabe because she can't be happy with him, the same way Vincent did with Tori. 4. Apparently, there's a lot of beasties that aren't buying JTnT. I doesn't make sense. Simple. 6. Couldn't agree more. Until today, I'm trying to see Tori's "legitimate journey". Her only journey was to Vincent's bed. Ridiculous. What a way to waste precious time.

So I found the lyrics for the song that was playing during the last scene "A love like this (acoustic)" By Kodaline. And its perfect for Gaberine. I do think the music dept is doing a really good job this season finding good songs that highlight the emotions of the scenes. :)Esp the purple lyrics. And let's all hope for the red lyrics... Here are the lyrics. "Running through the heat heart beat You shine like silver in the sunlight You light up my whole heart It feels like in the sun, the sun We're running around and around Like nothing else could matter in our life But wait, but wait, but wait The sun will stop shining soon And you'll be gone from my life Yeah, you'll be gone, it's as simple as a change of heart But I'm not gonna think about the future A love like this won't last forever I know that a love like this won't last forever But I, I don't really mind, I don't really mind at all Slipping into the night love It grows dark but you don't mind Hiding in the back streets, yeah, you'll never notice me All that I was thinking about was cleaning up my conscience Lost in the memory as it shakes up the corners of my heartWas it my mistake? Or maybe it was just as simple as a change in your heart Just as simple as a change in your heart I know now a love like this won't last forever I know that a love like this won't last forever But I, I know that a love like this won't last forever I know that a love like this won't last forever But I, and I
I don't mind at all A love like this won't last forever A love like this, a love like this A love like this won't last forever "
