Can I just say I agree with all of you: anapi, Nelly, crazyforv. You really described it better than I ever could.
Let me quite myself: 'That last scene is poignant and it is just so many things. She's looking for comfort from her would-be love. He's not sure he's this love but he knows that she needs it (comfort) so he just lets her collapse in his arms.'
Then there's something about the acting choices JR takes in that scene. KK is magnificent as Cat just finally let's all the pent-up emotion consume her and she finally feels everything, all the grief she's been holding in, all at once.
JR in this scene nails it because you can see that he's struggling cause he knows that he knows this woman intimately, he can feel the connection but he doesn't know what it is and cannot articulate it, but he defiantly knows it's there.
JR shows all this with his looks and body language. Love this scene. Might be my new #1 VinCat scene.

I don'r really care what the critics say... That scene when he sensed her heartbeat was great!!! And honestly I liked that he was determined and followed his lead instead of turning back. reminded me of the original batb...

Okay, I was an...overly excited Beastie and couldn't contain myself and went to watch the episode. It doesn't air in my area until tonight, but I couldn't wait any longer.
And I just have to say...
OMG!!!!!! That was awesome!
Heart breaking.....but awesome.

I could see the episode, well obviously being English I couldn't understand everything, but I think I have understood the basic information. The episode I liked it a lot, we started to great! As for the Vincat I can say the kiss I found it romantic, sad and very sweet ps. I'm breaking the replay button

Sorry for the random thoughts... but am I the only one who thinks Jay's acting is... hm... let's say perfect? Whatever scene he does the emotions he preforms with his eyes are... wow... just watched the JT - Vincent scene again and after that smile as he becomes serious I was really afraid he is gonna hurt JT!! I am going to have to agree with you 100% Nelly, if you think about it Jay has had to play two characters, in both season one and season two. First in season one, he plays Vincent who is this tortured, gentle soul who has remorse for the terrible things he has done, then in the same episode he has had to switch to the Beast, who has his humanity removed but still managed to always do the right thing. Remember Catherine said in season one, " Even when you kill people, you are doing it to protecting someone!" Now compare that to season two, Jay is very believable in showing us the Beast is no longer in touch with the human side of himself and is basically following orders with no remorse for what he is doing. And yet when he is with Catherine Jay/Vincent shows us the cracks that we all believe will lead him down the road for finding his inner Vincent. It takes great skill to show multiple sides of a complex character. Yes he is supported by a great cast of amazing actors but the show could only work if the actor who plays the Beast makes himself venerable to us. We needed to feel empathy for a character who does indeed maul people to death! Jay is truly a great actor to take us on this journey with him and as such, I understand why the show runners are quick to tell us what an outstanding screen presence he has. I loved our season one Vincent but season two Vincent is more in command and us such is stepping out the shadows to become a leading man. He was the first on to go in for the kiss last night with Catherine. If I get more of that .... I am a happy bunny indeed! Can I just say I agree with all of you: anapi, Nelly, crazyforv. Definitely! and it so grows on you, the more you see it the more you love it. soo emotional! so heartbreaking, so full of love and desperation. seriously, I am convinced if many people watch this episode they will keep watching, just not sure many will tune it to watch...

Both Jay and Kristin did say it was going to be achingly romantic and they wasn't wrong it tugged really hard at the heart strings and that and that gif shows just how much if a struggle vince is going to face within himself with what he will want Cat to know and not hurt her intentionally.
What I also loved with this episode which I didnt notice when watching it first time was when they jumped through the window was the way that Vince held Catherine especially the way he held the back of her head so gently. Now i'm not sure how much was Jay and Kristin and now much was their stunt doubles but straight away I though if when Kristin bumped her head in the blooper real and Jay asked if she was okay and gently rubbed the back of her head which again I thought was sweet

Jay is doing tremendous Starring OMG just look at his face... is as if his head and heart were empty... And I like your description and comparison about the performance on S1 and S2... and yes he is taking us to an incredible journey

But my thoughts, did run to the fact that Jay does like to have his hands and fingers around Kristin's neck. Look at the moment he picks her up and then again when he transfers from the Beast back to Vincent his hands were around her neck. Just like Jay/Vincent always manages to get his hands run towards Kristin's/ Catherine's bottom! LOL .... Yes, I notice these little things! BTW ... Is anyone else missing the yellow eye's, sure it might be over kill but strangely it was the only thing I missed last night.

I don't know! Honestly it never even appeared to me that his eyes never glow during the ep.
This whole story is just crazy! I so wanna know why did Vincent go for the kiss right on the first meet. He is so determined it scares me! Oh my God, I LOVE these mixed feelings I have!

Can anyone tell me what is that Vince says to Cat after the kiss before he goes in for the second one? She asks him not to leave. Then they kiss. Then VK says, 'I won't.' In reference to not leaving.
