Poignant scene at the end, which was good, but the rest....I guess I'm not seeing what the rest of you saw. The massage scene should have never made the show...neither should have the fight at the pool table. (Both downright silly.) They did get a new character introduced who appears to have some flair and potential, but the rest of the episode I was just raising my eyebrow. Plus, no JT! The most interesting character on the show and they gave him a week off. And I just don't get the Gabe character. He is the most irritating character I've seen on a TV series in decades. Why they brought him back from the dead I can NOT figure out. Hmmmmmm. Speaking of it, what was that of Cat talking freely about Vincent and his problems in front of the spa ladies? It was kinda ridiculous. They aren't deaf. It made me remember a scene from other show where a server murdered one of his customers almost perfectly because he knew everything about the guy simply because he talked freely about everything in front of him. To the customer, he didn't really exist. Cat should watch more TV.

Gabe liking Catherine romantically is lazy. This has already been done with Evan and frankly, I don’t want to see another workplace crush. I also don’t want to see every man who crosses Catherine’s path have a thing for her; although, as long as she’s standing next to loud, obnoxious Tess I can see why she appears more attractive. Totally agree with you!

Totally agree with you! Agreed! Gabe just needs to stay single or be paired off with some ells, or go through a morning period since his girlfriend died only a few months before, like any normal man would. Another comment and might have been brought up in the other fifteen pages of this thread, but has anyone done the math and realized that Aaron is either sixteen or seventeen now if the last time Vincent saw him his was six and it's been ten years, and you have to be twenty-one to be a firefighter in NYC (yes I did google it) just me being nit picky here. Other wise I love this episode!

Hey, if anyone would like to see what the 9/11 site and memorial look like, you can visit this webpage to see a live webcam that looks up at the new One World Trade tower from ground level: World Trade Center Live CameraThere is also this site that shows you what the site looks like from above: Webcam - National September 11 Memorial and MuseumAt this site, you can use the Camera View, where a camera from the top of a nearby tower looks down at the 9/11 site and memorial. You can also click on the Panorama View tab, that marks important items on the site and in nearby areas of NY and New Jersey. I use these a lot and thought others might want to look at them too.

I also don’t want to see every man who crosses Catherine’s path have a thing for her; although, as long as she’s standing next to loud, obnoxious Tess I can see why she appears more attractive. Totally agree with you! As much as they are trying to show (or hint) that Gabe is romantically interested in Catherine... I'm suspicious and I don't think that writters are REALLY going there. My opinion is that they are playing with us, making us believe that he has feelings for her (maybe that's why they put so many lines on Tess about him liking Cat... to reinforce that feeling!), but I think it's quite clear that he has a hidden agenda and at some point around mid-season hiatus we will figure out what it is! Maybe Gabe teasing Tess by saying "my feelings doesn't matter, bla bla bla"... is the way that he can distract Tess from his real intentions. Tess is a smart girl (even though this season they are not exploding the character too much) and she has noticed that Gabe is highly interested in Cat AND VINCENT! For Gabe is the perfect escape to let Tess suspect that he's falling in love with Cat so she doesn't look further for his real reasons. I mean, who buys that a guy who is falling in love with a girl is pushing SO HARD trying to help that girl's potential boyfriend (meaning Vincent) so they can be together again?? Amends for trying to kill him 3 months ago and Cat saving his life??? yeah... of course...

Yes, I am quoting myself! LOL! But wanted to share one more link you might like to use to view where that last scene was shot: September 11th MemorialNear the top of the page is a set of two alternating photos of the memorial plaza and the waterfalls. The waterfall photo is at night and looks so much like the scene in Hothead. But be sure to scroll down to the "Live Image of the Memorial" and "Google Earth 3D Tour" links. They are AMAZING! The Google Earth 3D Tour has opened to a view of the names inscribed in the edges of the waterfall pools. You can then click on different locations to see other places on the memorial. Anyway, just sharing . . . Edit: WOW! I'm speechless . . . Just went again to the website right above this and searched the names. There are two Kellers inscribed on the Memorial pools. Sorry, every time I think about that day and the families who lost loved ones, I just . . . Read more: saveeachotherbatb.com/thread/456/hothead?page=6&scrollTo=41714#ixzz2jBtgEZD7

I loved ' Hothead' and especially liked the very end when they are standing by the waterfall's and hold hands and this is becuase they are standing in front of a rose which at first I wasn't sure if it was but thanks to Julz she confirmed it was and I thought that was beautiful and also maybe a little shout out to the original story of batb because of the rose that the beast keeps in the jar, it might not be but I just thought it was a nice touch for them to have the conversation they had then hold hands and a rose is just there very batb for me

I'm 50/50 with Gabe still I still don't fully trust him but he cracked me up to when he went to Vince's boathouse and told him that he tried to kill him 4 months ago I was like serioulsy do you have a death wish and then he mentioned Catherine and that seem to calm Vince. I don't feel that he is romantically interested in Cat maybe he does like her on some level but romance not buying it totally I get this gut feeling that he is more involved with bio dad than we realize but I could be wrong.

Gabe-wise i'm sure some thing major will unfold soon. but frankly (at least for me) i love having some unexpected moments be it silly, weak, illogical… as long as everything is smooth and they come only in little doses That's what i find special about Batb; a little bit of EVERYTHING on the side, and VINCAT as the main menu. And yeah! looks like we'll get back JT (with Vincent!) in the next episode

I am a little confused here - Thomas is Cat's real father? Thought it's been confirm that Reynold is the dad? Reynolds = sperm donor. Didn't have anything to do with Cat her whole life.
Thomas Chandler = real father. Raised and loved Cat all her life.
Nothing to do with spoilers, just my vision of it. Oh ok. initially my interpretation bio dad = real dad. different translation there

I didn't see it that way.
Catherine shut the window on him just a few days ago. You can see how uncomfortable he was when she showed up at the hospital. He told her more than once that he didn't want to be a burden to her. Echoes of Beast 1.0, maybe?
I think that was the moment he really saw that he still had a chance with Cat. Despite all that happened, she cares about him enough to don't want him to die in that building. To me, that kiss meant that they were admitting their feelings. This was my interpretation too. I think he was really unsure where he stood with her after the window conversation and then when she expressed so much concern about him going into the building, he realized that her feelings were still there, so he felt confident enough to swoop in for a smooch. Speaking of which, does Vincent ever kiss Cat just once? This double kiss reminded me of the scene on her fire escape in S1 (right before he jumped over the side to impress her) when he kissed her, turned to leave, and then came back for more. Once that Vincent gets started, he can't seem to stop. would be awesome if the double kiss is REALLY his identity/nature/his thing (not really sure how to say it) wouldn't it? Hope i'm making sense….
