In terms of the romantic scenes between Vincat, the three scenes I loved were: Vincent does give 2 quick kisses to Catherine before going into the fire to rescue his nephew. She was worried about him and didn't want to let him go but he tried reassuring her and said, "Don't worry", and then kissed her. Also the end, Catherine says hopefully they will be together and he reassures her by holding her hand (love the way they hold hands btw, they always interlace their fingers which is sexy), and then he puts his arm around her and his thumb is caressing her shoulder and she leans her head on his shoulder. Very cute scene. Also enjoyed the boathouse scene where they talk about Vincent's memories.
Don't trust Gabe at all. He has got an agenda and it is not in Vincat's favour.
We learn from Vincent's flashbacks more about his former life and family, which is nice to see.
All in all, I would say this was an ok episode. Wasn't spectacular but at least we didn't have more angst and heartache. It was nice to see Vincent and Cat both being honest for a change. She mentions something about how she was supposed to stay away from him and he says "It's amazing what a bit of honesty and memories will do". So it seems as though they are working things out. Of course, this will only be short lived as come episode 8 I think, they will be ripped apart again. Enjoy it while we can Beasties.

Great start!! Vincent doing pull ups & push ups out of frustration. And yells at Reynolds! Catherine after 3 stiff drinks @ a Bar, punches out a girl & 2 guys, one of them a Federal Judge! Gabe has to bail her out!!
Gabe tells Vincent he tried to kill him, & wants his help to find the arsonist beast so they can try a cure. Beast on beast fight. Vincent is in hospital, Gabe signed him in as a John Doe. Catherine goes to see him. He tells her he wants to finish his missions ASAP so he doesn't have to lie to her anymore. Reynolds is there looking for Vincent. Arson investigators come to interview him. Gabe runs interference & lies that "Victor" had head injury. Vincent's nephew triggers a memory overload. Vincent beasts out & jumps through the window.

I'm liking everything so far! Looks like Cat was letting out some frustration too! Thanks so much beastiegirl!

Reynolds tells Vincent once his missions are done he can have his life back. Catherine goes to houseboat, he tells her about the flashbacks. They go to Firehall to talk to Aaron Keller. The kid has MAJOR attitude! 4 alarm fire. Vincent & Catherine go to check it out. He goes in to find Aaron. More flashbacks. Catherine shoots firestarter beast. Try to revive him, in vain.
End scene is a "warm fuzzy"!! Catherine & Vincent are walking & talking like they used to. She tells him that he's remembering things that she never knew about him. He was training to be firefighter but his brother made him go back to Med School.
I really liked this episode: lots of backstory, info on Gabe & his agenda [that he admits to.] Reynolds is starting to lose control of Vincent. Catherine & Vincent reconnect!

ok - so this episode IMO was not as strong as the other ones, definitely not... just a few things at this stage cause do not want to spoil it for anyone there were a lot of the loopholes and come on writers moments that we saw in season 1 which did annoy me alot, enough to not love this episode and just think it was ok (maybe i change my mind when i see it again tomorrow) J.T. nowhere to be seen in this episode Cat's night out - dunno was expecting it to be different, but ok one funny scene between cat and tess in a salon vincent getting memories back of his family, we find out sth. new about his old life vincent becomign more and more and more like the old vincent, really getting there now (too quickly maybe??) workout session, yes you can salivate, that was good. vincent looked really hot when gabe visited him gabe i do not like, definitely fishy - also, they made sure that tess spent all of the episode tellling him he liked catherine, obviously he didn't deny it.. bleh the episode very much focused on the beast of the week case which helps us learn more about vincen'ts family past vincent and catherine separated, catherine telling vincent it si over a week ago? eh.. think again lol seriously no. having said that, they did not really kiss kiss but come on if that is how separated is.... last scene very romantic, beautiful scene but did remind me more of them together in the last episodes of last season (date night, anniversary), kind of felt like they had been together for decades rather than him still not remembering much about her. however beautiful and romantic it was, it did feel that maybe it should have been played out a bit differently...

A Vincent-centric focused episode, Jay’s performance throughout the whole episode was great, bravo. Catherine & Vincent slowly on the same page, their heart to heart talk in the houseboat both agree that their memories that triggers emotion is real & use it to seek the truth about themselves will help them. The whole Vincent remembering his brothers/nephew flashback montage was well done in the hospital was well acted also when he finds/saves his nephew from the fire after being led by his dead brother’s voice/memory. Liked how Catherine asked him point blank if he wanted to remember her at the hospital and he does more than anything. His nephew Aaron looks to be a great addition, but still hard headed like a “keller”. Fire station scene where he sees pictures of his brothers, yep Vincent is the good looking one out of all 3 LOL... Aaron still doesn’t know Vincent is his uncle that saved him when he talks to Catherine at precinct... that will surface in later episodes. Basically Vincent told cat’s dad, that he wants to finish off these missions asap so he can stop lying & get back to a life with Catherine... but we all know that’s not the case. End scene at the 9/11 memorial fountain was beautifully shot... vincat convo they can’t change the past just learn & move forward it from it together... cue close up shot of them holding hands & vincent pulls her close for a hug.. Okay episode in terms of insight into Vincent’s background with his brothers & being a firemen with a sprinkle of Vincat heart to heart & muscle flexing Vincent at the houseboat for the ladies... very much a guys-guy episode.

p.s. loved how vincent got his flashbacks and liked the fact that we find out more about his old life and how he made amends about the past, thought that was great

So I've seen quite a few posts about people wanting VinCat to be together again, and being kind of angry about that not happening, and kind of mad at Cat for not forgiving Vincent and all that, but I LOVE the way things are going. From what I've read in this thread, they're back on again, and will probably be pulled apart in the future. I'm fine with that. I love angst. Hello! I was a clana (Clark + Lana/Smallville) fan until the end. Even though I loved VinCat last season, I just felt that sometimes it was a little cheesy. I like that they're having real problems this season. The only problem, and I think that's why people feel upset when VinCat have problems, is that this may scare people away and the ratings will go down and the show will be cancelled. i'm worried about that too, especially since I prefer this season 10x more than last season. But I just want good story telling, and I want relationships to be portrayed as real as possible. I'm not sure if I'm posting this is the right thread, but yeah. I'm happy VinCat are together again, but I don't necessarily want them to going back to being the couple they were last season. At least not completely.

Just a quick post then watching it again to have a better review. For me right now, I really like this episode. The story/plot for each episode is getting interesting each week. So far each week I am just like whoa. This episode I managed to stay away from twitter to avoid spoilers before watching it. Good thing I did. My face for majority of the time was . The beast of the week was very intriguing. It just shows that not all beasts are the same. How they react to the transformation and "cocktail " as the beast of the week put it, was different. It seems that what the person does or specializes in, M uses it to figure out what they will use them for or just what type of beast the person will be. Hopefully that makes sense. Ok, do you guys remember one of their Comic con interviews last year, where Jay talks about monkeys being experimented on and different reactions or aggressiveness based on their personality?( www.youtube.com/watch?v=sAiZmteYUfw. Here is the video, it starts around 5.00)Somewhere along those lines. I thought about that ever since last week's beast. Since he had liked/done magic in his B.B (before beast) life and how he used it to his advantage while being beast. Which goes back to Vincent solider. He has more animalistic traits and his face turns, just like how Gabe did since he was first generation while M was still figuring things out. His cocktail had more animal DNA while I guess this arson beast had more plant like DNA from what Gabe was talking about in the first half of the episode. ( I just found it interesting how last week's episode of S.H.E.I.L.D had a guy produce fire in his hands and this beast can produce fire with his whole body. Ohhh what if they were connected? LOL sorry got a little carried away there, my mind just started to wonder.) More about this after I process everything. Vincent's flash backs and early life. Oh my goodness. It was great insight because we get to learn more about him as Vincent is getting his flashbacks. But it was sad because his nephew didn't recognize him or he can't even tell his nephew that he is his uncle. Especially since they both lost so much. My heart broke when Vincent saved him and then Aaron went to see Catherine and asked to thank him but knew that he couldn't see him. Ugh whether it be a VinCat scene or the other characters, I think my heart will break every episode. This is starting to be more than a quick post. Haha. Just one more thing before I go process more. Agent Reynolds. Not sure what to think of him yet. I don't think he is all that bad. But I don't think he is all that good either. I'm still trying to figure him out. Ok I lied, one more thing then I'm done for now. I know people were not so happy about Vincent leaving when Catherine talked about finding out that her dad wasn't her dad. To be honest, I don't know how else he could react in that moment. He was realizing she was lying. But anyways moving on, he DID mention it this episode they talked about it a bit, in a way. IMO since he got some memories he was able to relate or comfort her more then not having memories and remembering her. Ok. I am going to stop here for now. Can't wait for the rest of the beasties to see the episode and we can talk about it more.

IMO, it's the best one yet! I fully agree that each episode is getting more interesting each week. This season is so great! I find myself really looking forward to Sundays & haven't been disappointed yet!!
I thrive on Spoilers & leaked photos! But then, when I read a book I usually turn to the last 3 pages to see how it ends. Once I see the ending I like, I enjoy reading it so much more!! That's probably why I love BatB so much. We know they are destined for each other & no matter what happens they will always find each other & live happily ever after!! How great is that???!!!
