Thanks Yolie! Like I said, and just watching these clips..........there were some really nice VinCat scenes. I really like J.T......now.......at first, like in these scenes, J.T. was just so snarky as well as obnoxious. But, we came to realize how really protective he was of Vincent and everything they had gone through. I give him credit now. Watching these early episodes again, makes you appreciate the characters.
Oh, and poor Evan! I still hope he comes back at some point, but I guess he is "dead-dead"!

Looking at Yolie's clips I've just realized this is one of my favourite episodes. I love these VinCat moments. They're establishing their relationship and trust here. This is very important. The rooftop convo is great. There's definitely attraction there. Vincen't so desperate to stay in touch with Cat, when she offers to stay away from the warehouse he comes up with the excuses why not. It's so nice to see that. When he looks at her and says ' You see me when I don't want anyone to see me.. and you still haven't run' and she looks up to him- that moment I totally

It's so nice to see that. I remember that rooftop scene made me fall in love with the show. Exactly for what you mentioned above. Vincent wanting to stay in touch with Catherine and when Catherine says to him she would stay away he makes the first step and admits that's not what he really wants. And the way he looks at her when she appears on the rooftop and walks to him... Like a little kid afraid of his feelings.

To be honest the crime of the week was lame BUT I loved the VinCat story line here. ..I use the scenes from this episode in some of my music videos. LOVE LOVE LOVE the trust they were building and the fact that they were realizing how much they both couldn't just let go.

Ummmm a bit off topic but those were the worst "acting" ballet dancers I have ever seen. Company? What company? Try adult ballet for beginners. Anyway, I just had to get that off my chest. They made Natalie Portman look like the real deal, and she wasn't good at ballet either... There are plenty of good professionals around Toronto, I can't understand why they didn't make more of an effort. Film an actual rehearsal with professionals.
Love that scene on the rooftop. Did anyone else think that when she approaches him - the way that he was looking at her - that he was looking at her neck assessing the strangle injury from the attack? I always felt like he was checking to see if she was "physically okay" there - which I thought was soooo sweet. In any event, no matter what he was doing there, I love the way he looks at her. I didn't DVR the pilot, so this was the first episode I recorded. I watched it about 100 times. I love how they get in each other's space at the end.
I still don't understand why he has to sneak up and grab her from behind at the crime scene, but it's super-hot, so who cares? Only Vincent/Jay can make stalking look so adorable and sexy.

He can be my stalker any day! LOL..I fell in love with his from the pilot though! The connection with them was established when she saw him in the warehouse. He left me...

I'm having problems with this recently taped episode.
The aspect ratio looks strange and there are no captions available.
This is the first time I've had this problem after recording an episode on my DVR.
I'm a U-Verse subscriber, so I'm trying to find out if the problem is the broadcast by U-verse, or something else.
All of my other TV channels look fine and record fine.
Has anyone else noticed this problem with the broadcast from 5/30/13?
Thanks.

I, too have U-Verse and recorded this epi on my DVR. No problems. Maybe you should give them a call?

Welcome all new Beasties.
I hope that all of you who have not seen the whole season will have a chance to see it and come back and discuss. Though some of us may not be here all the time, I am sure there will be a lively group.
Now.....this episode I believe was the only one I had missing.
I had seen the pilot and it did nothing for me. So I missed about two or three episodes before I discovered this site and started watching again. I saw my missing episodes when they were re-ran them.
Anyways, I liked all the Vincent and Catherine scenes. I could care less about the ballet story. I was never a fan of the crime of the week stories. I can see where Vincent is drawn to Catherine at the end up on the roof top. He was almost blushing when he was talking to her. That was cute. At first he was serious then he started to smile a little.

Oh, Another thing.
Too bad Catherine didn't know what laid ahead in the future.
She should have sent Heather away. Let he go back to daddy's house.

^ I think what made him turn around and go WOW was the fact that *she* saw him for what he was and she didn't run from him..I think in part it had to do with trust and the fact that she was already attracted to him but of course neither was gonna admit it there and then. Now looking back and knowing what happens in the later episodes bring all the looks, smiles and convos to a different prospective, yeah?
