I agree, Dan. Besides, I think these cases have their importance, not really in the facts, but more how they have shown similarities with the Catherine/Vincent relationship.

Yes, the case of the week parallels nicely with what is going on in their relationship at that time.

I don`t think the case of the week story always have to connected somehow to what`s going on in Cat-Vincent relationship, that`d be redundant after a while. But,they just need to make it interesting. Hope these cases will somehow get heavier in the next episodes, more Cat in action and more about Cat`s career as a cop...so far all of her story revolves around Vincent. Get her more independent arc is what i`m saying...

Hey All! Just wanted to share the BeautyandtheBeastCW posted on Twitter that Vincent's gift to Cat was in fact FLANNEL PJ'S!!! Awesome, thanks for sharing that! I think we all had a thought that the gift was flannel pajamas...very sweet. It's too bad they didn't have a scene with her opening it up in front of him.

BATBWriters tweeted that first shoutout to the one who will answer correctly what Vincent gift was to cat and somone said it is Flannel PJS and they said it is right and they wanted to put that on screen but there wasn't enough time They could add it in other episode

End Scene..
Im bit skeptical that it was apart of his blackout because, if you look at what she is wearing when she met her soon to be step mom to say she was sorry, it is the same outfit during the end scene with Vincent. It was minutes before it, or in my opinion it was. Thoughts?

It was minutes before it, or in my opinion it was. Thoughts? I highly doubt that the last scene was a dream or part of his blackout. Yes it awkward and the scene ended abruptly. Unfortunately I just think it was a boo-boo on the part of the writers..maybe something else happened like a kiss or hug and they decided to cut that scene out. I think Cat's voiceover was added in rather hastily...as I said before, I felt like ending it with that face touch would've have been fine.

The case of the week story has been too weak,...i know it`s supposed to be light procedural cause it`s on CW, but the they need to step up these cases. I can predict who the killer is in only a few minutes,it`s predictable and uninteresting. If they still want to continue w the procedural part,at least please make it intriguing. I agree. But to be honest, I could care less. I just zoom thru the case of the week. TV Guide just gave the show a D. Said it's hard to believe Kristin Kreuk as a cop. I have to agree with that too. I am just interested in the Vincent and Catherine story. The relationship, the conflicts.
I did like that on the last two episodes it parallel Vincent and Cat's relationship and their unique situation. I loved that. But that cannot be done every week. I do think that the writing is going to have to be a tad much stronger.

talulahbelle, i'm also more interested in the Vincent/Catherine complicated relationship than in these cases they're trying to make interesting. it sounds like they're filling the story with a case. Please, writers, focus on Muirfield, on Vincent's past, on the relationship between the recurrent characters. Don't add useless things to the story.

that tv guide editor(is it matt roush?) who gave batb a D also previosuly wrote that the leads have no chemistry..so should they just dump the romance aspect the show then? of course not! they should stick to it and make it all the more interesting, the same thing w the procedural aspect. and btw that matt person from TV guide is a bitter fan of the old batb who doesn`t want it to be remake. He`s been crapping on batb every chance he gets.

Yeah I know who you are talking about.
I read alot of reviews but that doesn't stop me from watching what I want and liking what I like. And to be honest, I sometimes agree with the critics. I am not one of these fans who is going to sit up here and tell you I like everything about this show. Please!!!!
But I agree that the writing is going to need improvement. I don't know that it can survive 22 episodes.
