Discuss 1x08 here! Trapped Airdate December 6, 2012
JT (Austin Basis) suspects that Catherine (Kristin Kreuk) is the trigger of Vincent’s (Jay Ryan) blackouts, so to disprove this theory, Vincent allows JT to inject him with endorphins and sedatives that force him into a fugue state. In flashback, Vincent recalls his time in Afghanistan when he received his first super soldier shot, and remembers who injected him with the DNA altering substance. He also recollects how the other soldiers experienced unpredictable side effects, including fugue states, and is relieved to know that Cat isn’t causing his blackouts. Vincent shares his memory about Murifield with Cat, who experiences some recollections of her own. Then, as Cat and Tess (Nina Lisandrello) investigate the attempted murder of a teen pop star (guest-star Max Schneider), Evan suspects that Cat is deliberately protecting the vigilante who saved him in the subway. Paul Fox directed the episode written by Emily Silver (#107).Promotional Images:Trapped Images Ksite.comPromotional Stills via SpoilerTVEXTENDED PROMO:Sneak PeekProducer's PreviewReviews:TV FantaticRickey.orgGirls Talk TV

Official plot for Episode 8: The CW’s description for the December 6 episode of Beauty And The Beast is now out. It’s called “Trapped” and here’s how they describe it.
Paul Fox directed the episode written by Emily Silver (#107).

SCREAMING‼'Beauty & The Beast' Flashes Back! When TheInsider.com caught up with Jay Ryan earlier this month, he teased that clarity into Vincent's past was coming and as you can see from our exclusive photo, that time has come! "I'm really excited to continue building off of Vincent's origins because that's the past ten, fifteen years of his life before he became the beast," Jay said. "Where are all those people from his life? How is he keeping away from family members, ex-lovers, or fiancees, maybe? All of that stuff starts to be revealed. And as Catherine and Vincent's relationship heats up, those characters may just come up to pose a threat. His past may catch up with him."

In the December 6 episode, titled Trapped, JT suspects that Catherine is the trigger of Vincent's blackouts, so JT injects Vincent with endorphins and sedatives that force him into a fugue state in an attempt to disprove the theory. Through that, the audience is treated to flashbacks of Vincent's time in Afghanistan when he received his first super soldier shot, and remembers who injected him with the DNA altering substance.
So, is Cat the one causing Vincent's blackouts? Tune in to The CW's Beauty and the Beast, on December 6 at 9 p.m., to find out!

What if it was her mother (Cat's mother) who injected him the substance ? After all she was working with Murfield, right ? Is it that insane to think it might be her ?

What if it was her mother (Cat's mother) who injected him the substance ? After all she was working with Murfield, right ? Is it that insane to think it might be her ? I also think that is the case. I read in a synopsis of episode 8 that Vincent will tell Cat what he remembered. If that is the case, I wonder how she will take that news...
